Fourtrees #8

Fourtrees is a group of four tall oak trees that the Clan wolves have held their Gatherings at since the early days of the Clans. Fourtrees is described as neutral territory, and is often used when wolves from different Clans want to meet outside a Gathering. There is a large rock in the middle of Fourtrees called the Great Rock.The Clan leaders use it to look down on the Clans and share their news during Gatherings. Also, there is a small opening in the rock with a space big enough for many small pups to fit into.

Honeysplash said "thistlepaw is right Heatherstar, get Okamipaw back to camp. shes in critical condition and needs to be in a safe area without stress. i would suggest keeping Tallfeather near her as the two seem to share a close bond".with that she moved away and called out "apachewind! apachewind!". her voice carrying over the din.

Heatherstar flickered her ears as an unfamiliar voice echoed in her ears and she glanced sideways to see the vaguely familiar Honeysplash. "Yes, I do agree, but it is no use her loosing any blood during the journey if we can do anything about it. Our Medicine Wolf will be able to take care of her in camp." Turning to Okamipaw she looked into her eyes. "How are you feeling, Okamipaw? Is it hurting anywhere else other than your shoulder?"

"Heatherstar," Thistlepaw said as he looked at the familiar WindClan leader in the growing darkness. "I can help take her to WindClan camp if you'd like. I would advise against pulling the bullet out. I will help any way I can." He looked down at the hurt wolf and saw the blood staining her snow-white fur. So many injuries and deaths... there was no way he could let this result in another when he could help prevent it. "With all due respect, Heatherstar," Thistlepaw said, "I will not take no for an answer. I am going to help." With a determined fire in his eyes he waited for the WindClan leader to reply.

Okamipaw whimpered "my shoulder.... it hurts.....". her black eyes stared at Tallfeather like he was her anchor. her crimson markings on her face looked like smears of bloodin thelight. many hunters would happily slaughter whole clans just to get her pelt. she whimpered softly before she gave up the fight to stay consious and she fell unconsious. words began echoing around in her head.
In the rain the pavement shines like silver
All the lights are misty in the river
In the darkness, the trees are full of starlight
And all I see is him and me forever and forever
And I know it's only in my mind
That I'm talking to myself and not to him
And although I know that he is blind

Falconwing was listening to the leaders, his ears perked and casting isde glances to the pups next to him. Two shots rang out and it took the large male time to process as the whole gathering seemed to go into turmoil and chaos. His eyes widened and he stood, as wolves rushed out. His eyes caught the red blood of the white female of Windclan. He stared a while in shock and horrow. He doubted this was thunder like Graystar had said. Moving his paws he remembered the two pups by his side. He looked at them, "Rainpup, Snowpup. Let us not stay, I will take you home." His eyes held worry for the two females, he wasn't sure who their parents were and he wasn't going to look for them now. If only they'd let him, they would all be safe.

Things were happening so fast, Tallfeather had no room to react. Stiffling the panic that welled up inside of him, Tallfeather finally got out that they'd been ordered to take Okamipaw back to camp. The other clans had already scattered; some wolves were still in the clearing, trying to help, while others had vanished to their respective territories. Tallfeather turned to Thistlepaw as the apprentice offered his help. "No," Tallfeather said. "Sunclan can't risk you getting hurt on Windclan's behalf. Go, we'll be find." Dipping his head to show his gratitude, Tallfeather turned back to Okamipaw. She'd gone unconcious, but blood still seeped from the wound. Grabbing her bloody scruff in his jaws, Tallfeather hauled her upright and began to drag her back to Windclan camp.

Okamipaws body was limp and her entire leg covered in crimson blood. the bloodied scent of wolf rose up into the air covering the entirety of fourtrees. she had already left several smears of her crimson blood on the earth. her black tipped tail dragged in the dust her pelt now dust coloured and crimson coloured. Deep within okamipaws mind a struggle emerged, to tell or not to tell.

Thunderpaw was still under his bush, listening and learning. He was finding everything quite entertaining so he hummed to himself. What caught his attention was Shadestar's sudden reaction to two strange sounds. the apprentice stayed where he was waiting for it to happen again, when every wolf seemed to get up and start moving quickly. The leaders shouted wolves howled in pain. Thunderpaw crept farther back into his bush, fear clawing at him. He watched paws and feet rush by but he stayed...

Tigerpaw crawled in beside Thunderpaw and nomed on his ear for a few moments. she stared out with hersolom yellow eyes. she lay down and rested her head on her paws. wondering where her mother and sisters were. she grunted.

Thunderpaw smiled and stayed next to her as the commotion seemed to roar on. His ears flattened in slight fear. The young male had lost a lot of self esteem latley but being with Tigerpaw cheered him up. He lied his head down upon the earth waiting for everything to die down a bit,

Thistlepaw looked at Tallfeather but remained where he was waiting for Heatherstar's orders. It seemed like the wolf would be in good hands without him. Reluctantly he pulled himself away from the scene to look around to see who else remained in the clearing. Catching sight of a SunClan pup and an apprentice under bushes he trotted over them and leaned down so he could speak. "C'mon you two, we're going to go back to camp now, alright? Everything is fine." He gave the two assuring looks before nudging them in the direction of SunClan camp. It seemed like all of the pups of SunClan were having exciting first Gatherings. Shooting another glance over at the scene behind him, he still felt like he needed to stay but understood that WindClan didn't wish to have one of SunClan assist them.

Tigerpaw frowned then smiled at her friend and sat up. she decided that she wanted to sing a litte. i mean when you are in a crisis ljust sing! she began swinging her head from side to side heryellow eyes glittering with mischeif.
"When you're rife with devastation
There's a simple explanation:
You're a toymaker's creation
Trapped inside a crystal ball

And whichever way he tilts it
Know that we must be resilient
We won't let them break our spirits
As we sing this silly song"
she grinned at her friend and swung her haunches into his haunches and danced around a little.

Slypaw went down fast when he heard the thunder wiz by. He didn't wait to see what else happened. He ran back fast to camp hoping that nothing was awaiting his camp members there. He knew his leaders would make sure everyone was safe but there was barely any protection back at camp.
sc camp

Thunderpaw nodded and crawled out of the bush. He looked at Thistlepaw and braced himself slightly for the long journey ahead. He looked at Tigerpaw and giving her a nudge to stop dancing, he smiled. "Well c'mon. You guys just keep running..." He sighed and began to walk near the shadows.

Falconwing looked at Rainpup and nodded, looking around everything seemed to be clearing out a bit. He nudged her forward softly, "c'mon there's no time to lose." He waited slightly for Snowpup as well. The large brute had ears perked high, and he looked softly down at the two frightened female pups.

(I should wait for Snow right?)

Tigerpaw narrowedher eyes and said "im not leaving you thunderpaw!". she stubbornly walked beside her best friend. her tail up in the air as she walked along beside him. gun shots began cracking out breaking off chips of the great rock. she gulped and continued walking statley beside thunderpaw. her brown fur keeping her well hidden in the shadows. there was chaos and carnage everywhere.

Otterpup appeared, walking calmly he said to his father "Snowpup and Rainpup are with a thunderclan scum wolf". his yellow eyes glittered before he turned and began walking back to camp. casting angry looks at the other wolves that jostled him. he yelped and jumped into the air as a bullet smashed into the ground right next to him.

Thunderpaw nudged her forward, "Don't be like that, I'm coming." He bounded forward slightly, and smiled. Attmepting to ignore the horrible situation he smiled, "C'mon I'm sure we can get back to camp if we run really fast!"

-Sunclan Camp

Falconwing looked around the chaotic scene confusing him a bit. "C'mon. The faster we get you home the safer you will be." He waited for Snowpup and made sure both females were ahead of him as he went towards the sunclan camp. He blinked nervously and kept going.

-Sunclan Camp

Thistlepaw watched as the pups and other SunClan warriors made their way back to SunClan camp. The WindClan wolves were still there taking care of their fallen Clanmate who appeared to have fallen unconscious. Catching sight of his brother Pinepaw, Thistlepaw walked over to him. "I'm glad you're all right. Have all the pups returned to camp?" he asked his brother, brushing up against him affectionately. He looked around in the darkness to see if he could find any of the small scraps still lurking around. There were no more shots to be heard, it seemed like whatever it was had moved on. Turning his gaze back to Pinepaw he asked, "Do you know what that sound was? Was it a sign from StarClan?"

Thistlepaw shrugged in response to his brother. "I heard Ebonyfur telling Direstar how StarClan didn't contact them when they went to the Moonstone. Maybe it was StarClan making contact, or maybe it wasn't StarClan at all." He stopped speaking, trailing off at that thought. Evil things seemed to be at work around and in their beloved forest. The apprentice felt SunClan was lucky to be living in the mountains further away from the madness and closer to StarClan and the Moonstone. Hopefully everything would be resolved without any fights and wars against other Clans and outsiders. A wolf could hope, right?

Looking around he confirmed that no pups appeared to be in sight. Turning to his brother he said, "I think we should head back to camp and give the WindClan wolves a little more space." Glancing back over at the party who was still gathered around the white wolf, he noticed that no progress seemed to have been made. There was nothing he could do if the WindClan wolves would not let him though. Sighing to himself he turned from his brother and made his way back to SunClan territory. His paws were tired from the day of training and all the excitement made him simply exhausted.
