Getting rid of the HTML pages.

These pages can be found at http://www.thefourclanswq.forumotion.com . Should we just get rid of these pages? They aren't updated frequently and we can just move the important information (like the plot) to General Info instead. What do you guys think?

I say yea, because I was confused at first when I found TFC.

True,but i think we should have so,done to update it once in a while. But if not,then we should get rid of it. Its confusing.

I would say no to removing the HTML pages; they offer information on the different Clans, and also help with other information; I think that the UOTM and Feature pages are there as well. Instead, perhaps if they were updated more frequently or didn't include as much information that had to be updated (for example, RiverClan used to say 33 pages of roleplay on its page), it could work out. The pages are unique as well, as not all sites have pages like that, instead including that information elsewhere where it may be harder to find.

I think that that would be a good idea, as then the pages wouldn't contain incorrect information. However, I think that whoever would be in charge of updating the pages if the idea is used would need to send the updates to an administrator, as I think administrators are the only ones who can update the pages or site.

Its never kept up with. I voted get rid of it.

I think it's a good idea to keep them. They're a quick and easy way to get information on the Clans and what's going on. Although I agree on having someone to update them. Perhaps once every month would be good, as that's when most important things change and they can all be summed up into one place. I volunteer to do so, if you would like. Although I'm pretty sure plenty of other people would like to do so to.

In order to update it you must be an administrator.. and I'm not planning on just giving out administrative powers lol.

Also I'm going to be honest with all of you but I don't think they look very nice. They'd need a major overhaul for me to be perfectly happy with them haha. Idk, maybe its the backgrounds and stuff but still.

Well,i mean just a reported shade. Like for instance if someon came and looked at it,if they had the job they would tell you or pm you if it needed using :/

Nope, you need access to the admin control panel and thus must be an administrator. I can't bar powers from admins.

Well, it only needs a little TLC. Well....alot.....but still. Perhaps there could be a job for someone that sums up info every month and sends the code to you or another admin, and then they edit it.

There are already five leaders [or more? idk lol] that have the job of updating the HTML pages, and it still isn't kept up with. Even if someone is specialized just to update the pages, they'd have to work around the whole needing administrative powers thing, which would probably involve sending the coding to an admin and who knows if said admin would even have the time/be able to update the pages. I think its too much work for something too insignificant.

Well, all of the work doesn't even have to be done at once. I mean, if someone codes an HTML page each day, and [admin] updates one each day, then it could be accomplished in about 4 days and such.

Its still a continuous problem. Contests, RP events, clan information, etc is always changing. If you seriously want to keep the HTML pages, effort is going to have to be put in them, and that means updating when updating is due. That doesn't mean updating them this one time [and taking four days, as you suggested] and then slacking off, theres a lot more time to be put in it, and I don't think the pages are worth the trouble.

I was just saying that to show that it wouldn't take, like, two weeks to do it. I know it would be alot of work, but it can be done. And things would be updated monthly, to keep up with the basic Clan information and events.

It sounds nice, but as Tallfeather said it would take a lot of work. It would seem more reasonable to me if they just put it under General info.
