| battles are calculated by mods/admins at request of users in maintenance, support & suggestions
HP - health Strength - strength of hits Agility - likelihood of a miss Defense - decreases effectiveness of a hit
Health is calculated by age Pups- 10/10 Health Apprentices- 20/20 Health Adults- 30/30 Health
If health is depleted it can only be increased by visiting a Medicine Wolf and getting proper herbs, or getting the herbs and patching yourself up. Once your health reaches 0, you faint. Any further hits and you die. You may yield to your opponent before you reach that point.
Strength, Agility, and Defense are chosen by member when they join based upon their character. This is reviewed by staff so it makes sense. Points are distributed by member, depending on age, once again.
Pups have 10 points Apprentices have 20 points Adults have 30 points. You can also gain additional points which will be explained in guide (by training & winning fights.) this is only for when people originally join.
As you age from pup to apprentice you have more points to distribute. For example, a pup could choose
5 strength, 3 agility, 2 defense
Once they become an apprentice they gain 10 more points to distribute, so:
10 strength, 5 agility , 5 defense
And so on.
----
An attack is rolled, a random number using a number generator or dice.
If that number is higher than the defense the opponent has, the attack is a hit. if it is lower, the attack is a miss.
If your wolf has 5 strength or below, there is no change in number. If it has 10, there is a +2 change If 20, there is a +3 change If 30 there is a +4 change
HOWEVER.. the opponent has agility also, so if the agility is: 20 or higher, -2 effectiveness of attack 30 or higher, -3 effectiveness of attack
Therefore.. follow this battle below: Wolf 1 has: 20 strength, 10 agility, 10 defense, 30 health Wolf 2 has: 10 strength, 20 agility, 10 defense, 30 health
Wolf 1 rolls an attack of 21. 21-10 defense = 11.. attack is a hit. Wolf 1 has 20 strength, so +3 = 14 strength hit. Wolf 2 now has 16 health.
Wolf 2 rolls an attack of 25. 25 - 10 = 15, attack is a hit. Wolf 1 has 10 strength, so it would have a 17 attack hit ^^^^ THIS IS THE PROBLEM Wolf 2 should not have such a high attack because its strength is only 10!

| Okay sorry I just posted that without explaining, I was showing others on chat.. I'm trying to work out a fighting system for TFC that can incorporate stats, which will make a more interesting rping experience. I think I just need to test & tweak, but if you understand it and have any suggestions I'm very open. Thanks! | |
