Great Sycamore

The Great Sycamore is a large sycamore tree in the ThunderClan. It is located near Snakerocks, east of the ThunderClan camp, closer to the ShadowClan border. It is one of the tallest trees in the forest, described as a gigantic tree with its crown stretching beyond the canopy that shields the sky. Its branches are strong all the way to the ends, and its roots are thick, twisting around its base and burrowing far into the earth. Sometimes, it serves the use of an ideal hunting place - or a place to master stalking.

Phoenixstars starry form appeared infront of Rainwhisper, he stared down his long muzzle at the black fae. he touched his nose to her forehead giving her a rush of hope. that fleeting yet determined spirit. before heslowly evaporated back up into starclan.

Rainwhisper heard her name upon the softly calling wind. It was calling to her. She looked abck two scents carried upon it, Feather's and the faint one of Night. She poked her head through and saw only Feather. Rain's heart broke, had she tear ducts her tears would run like the Nile river. She rushed away, her heart a million,pieces, her soul gone. She had always tried to be strong, always tried to be there but at times she needed someone too. She needed support as well, but every time she looked for it others problems pushed her own away. Every time she was alone the female would break into sadness all alone. She didn't have ashoulder to cry on, she didn't have a pelt to snuggle into. She felt soemthing pulse inside of her and she tripped slightly as she saw a fain fiery figure. Phoenix... and then he was gone. Rain broke even more. He was gone, everyone was gone and those she did n't know about! Without strength she pulled away from the Great Sycamore, she didn't want to look back, she didn't want to remember. she was always there for others, she slipped once and it was a big mistake. While evryone else could trip and fall and absolutley fail but she always had to forgive. Always had to be there. Why couldn't anyone be there for her as well?! The dark female ran, slowly but she ran. She ran from her problems that whispered in th wind that rushed by. She stomped over the ground which held her tears of misery. She ran in the shadows to hide form the ksy which she had howled her sorrow to. She ran, none of these things, none could help her. None anymore. She knew she shouldn't she honestly did. But she though about running onto windclan and Riverclan territory to just jump. To feel the rush of the wind, the hit of the water and then nothing. She knew how it felt, and now she longed for it. Rainwhisper longed to die, to disappear to be gone, to vanish. She wanted no trace of herself to be left. None so she wouldn't feel pain knowing that those who said they lovwed her would be sad. No she just wanted to be erased from their minds so they could carry out their lives. Her eyes dull and hurt, her paws aching to stop she ran to the Owl Tree. She would wait until ight or early morning, then she'd be sure to be gone forever. No one would look for her, why should they bother too?

Nightowl walked up a little slowly. wincing in pain because of his leg, he scented rainwhisper and wondered where she could be. he frowned and noticed feathersoul, he limped over to her and nosed her fur gently with a smile on his face.

Feathersoul turned as she felt a nudge, giving a smile as Nightowl approached. She turned back around, scanning the forest. But Rainwhisper was gone. She sighed, hanging her head. "I don't know what to do. I want to help Rainwhisper but.....I don't know how." This was the first time she had been lost since her apprenticeship.

Nightowl smiled and moved over to her, masking his pain for rainwhisper behind a warm smile for feathersoul. he gently nosed at hre slightly incessantly. his heart thudding in hsi chest. he sighed and closed his eyes. "its ok im here"

Feathersoul pressed her mussel into Nightowl's shoulder fur. She breathed in deeply. "I'm okay as long as I'm with you," she whispered. It was so quiet it was like a soft breeze.

nightowl woke up with the morning sun burning onto his face. he grunted and shook out his fur, he stared beside him were feathersoul was. since it was to early in the morning to think he rested his chin on her ear and sighed contentedly. his brown eyes showing no comprehension of what happened the night before.

Feathersoul awoke, her eyes still half shut. She raised her head, finding her body intertwined with Nightowl's. She felt Nightowl's head rest on her ear. She could feel the guilt bubbling inside of her, and she couldn't take it any more. She untangled herself from the handsome male, staring down at her paws. "I'm sorry....I can't do this..."

He stared up at her sleepy eyed and confused "can't do what feather?" his rumbling voice thick with sleep.he stood and shook out his fur, his large body a little sore and with aches in his joints. he stretched joints popping and stared at her with now fiery golden eyes.

Feathersoul peered up at Night, her eyes pools of grief and sadness. "This. Us. I'm sorry.....but my Clanmates need me." She paused, her eyes still locked on the ground. "And Rain needs you..." She glanced up again, a terribly sad expression on her face. She reached her mussel up, brushing his ear. "I always loved you, but I have to stay loyal to my Clanmates, no matter the cost." She turned, not bearing to look at the male as she slowly padded off to camp. A single tear dropped from her eye, splashing onto the ground and sinking into the earth. "Good-bye, Nightowl."

Nightowl shuddered and trembled, his trust for Feathersoul changed and turned into a cancerous distrust and msilike of the female. he turned and began making his way toward the owl tree. his favourite im running away leave me alone site. he dragged one paw then another. his mind a seething mess of emotions who did he love who didnt he love. why was he born with emotion

Feathersoul crouched under the roots of the Great Sycamore. She had scraped a shallow cave in the dirt, the giant roots arching overhead as a roof. She lied her her head on her paws, closing her eyes. A shaft of moonlight cut through the roots, illuminating her fur like a spotlight. The fae welcomed the light as it shined on her, her black fur shimmering like thousands of tiny stars. She opened her eyes once more, although they were no longer eyes: they were stars. She stood, staring down at herself. She was made of stars as well. She walked, glancing around the dark space that enveloped her. There was nothing but darkness all around. Suddenly, three tiny twinkles appeared infront of her. She stared at them as they slowly approached her. They formed into a line, filing towards her one behind the other. They seperated once again when they were inched away from her face, forming a triangle. She was compelled to walk towards them. Closer...closer. Finally she stepped through it, and she fell. Down and down she fell, until she slammed into something with such force she felt no pain.
Her eyes flew open. Feathersoul's eyes darted all around her, her rapid heartbeat slowing as she found herself in the cave. She had been dreaming. She rested her head on her paws again, listening as raindrops began to splatter on the ground, creating a soothing, rythematic beat that calmed every nerve in her body. She was at peace, at long last, and she lied there, listening in happiness.

Trying hard to walk over to the sycamore,she noticed Feather in a cave. We blinked and crawled over. She nudged her. "Hey Feather,you ok? I saw you slam...." She noticed her raw side. She backed away from her.

Feathersoul nodded, all traces of anger gone. She stood, wincing at her raw and bloody side. "You should go back to camp. I need some time alone." She padded out into the soft rain. She headed for the border, needing to escape ThunderClan for a while.

Echopaw slowly woke up with sickening feeling.
"Storm? Is that you?" She asked slightly dazed.
Realizing her wounds no longer hurted as much, the she-wolf stumbled up. Echopaw leaned against Storm and shuddered; her face twisted with slight pain.

"It is me darling you fainted. I brought you away from the border. You are going to be alright." He nuzzled his head into her and closed his eyes.

Before she knew it Echopaw was putting together a makeshift den. She didn't want to go back to the busy and stressful camp; not just yet. Echopaw sighed as she stumbled into the den, breathing heavily.
