Abandoned Badger Sett

Some scraggly bushes around the badger sett hides it from plain sight, so non-WindClan wolves may not even know it is here.

Through the Badger Sett, you can access the tunnels, to in turn get to areas underground.

A badger once lived here, but it was killed by the ancient wolves who lived on the moor, and so this sett is abandoned. Some say they can still hear the badger's growls, but others say it's a tale to frighten pups.

he trotted up to the opening of the abanoned sett, and sniffed around. his keen nose picking up scents of prey, prey dung and other things. he looked around and smiled at moon pup "ready to explore?"

Moonpup had followed him carefully, thanking starclan that she was in Windclan and not Thunderclan or a place with lots of twigs on the ground. "Yeah, I'm ready."

"you can bite gently GENTLY onto my tail and i can lead you if you want" he said looking a little worried for the blind young fae.

"Alright. Try not to get lost." She bit gently down on his tail. "Ish dis wight enew?" She asked though a mouth full of hair.

He perked his ears not really hearing her and led the way down into the tunnels

"Hey, their going to the tunnels." she said to herself. "should i turn around and leave? but they might get hurt." she said in worry.

She tripped and slammed head first into the hole, she pulled herself out and sat down in one of the bushes. her paws trembling, she was on the brink of a mental collapse. she pinned back her ears and lifted her noble muzzle to the sky. howling

Raggedfur inhaled deeply, his nose flooding with the familiar scents of his clanmate. He'd tracked her from camp, unable to block the waves of dispiar and misery that leeched off her scent. None the less, Raggedfur had been more focused on following the scent of Barkstripe. Unfortunately for him, the young male hadn't followed Okamiamasterasu after all. Raggedfur groaned at the loss - he'd been really looking forward to knocking some sense into the violate warrior, but Barkstripe's scent had veered sharply away somewhere around Windover farm. Ah, well. Raggedfur was just turning to trail back to camp, hoping that Okamipaw hadn't noticed him, when he suddenly froze.

It took him a moment to realize that Okami was singing. Her voice was clear and melodious, despite the harsh, grating undertones of pain. Raggedfur didn't understand the language, but he found himself in a state of paralysis, the composure locking him in place. The song was beautiful and foreign, and Raggedfur cocked his head slightly, letting the words sink into his head. He wouldn't have expected something so tender and gentle from such a damaged wolf.

Okamipaw finished her song and lay down with her head on her paws, her black eyes closed and she allowed herself to rest. her ears flicked listening to the sounds of prey, when they suddenly stopped however she lifted her head adn stared around with her hollow black eyes that glittered with an undescribable pain. standing up she shook out her red and white pelt, pausing for a few moments she recognized the windclan scent and sat back down. she began busily cleaning the blood from her pelt. ignoring thebitter taste of the herbs. she was sick of medicine wolves. Shadewhisper had thought she was a bad omen from the moment of her birth.

Raggedfur snapped out of his reverie as quickly as it had come. With the loss of Okami's serene voice and docile lyrics, Raggedfur found his usual grumpiness come seeping back. He stood for a moment, wondering what in good lord's name he was doing just standing here, then decided to go back. Nothing else to do here.

She watched him leave from her sanctuary bush, she thought about a name for the bush and named it fred. she wondered why Raggedfur had come then shrugged. to her he was her second friend, amberpup and Raggedfur, what a lonely existance she had. but for now all she could do was lie there and watch him leave. her mouth opened and before she could stop it she said "Did you like the song"

Raggedfur startled in surprise when he realized Okami had noticed him. He hadn't counted on her actually being aware of her surroundings; Raggedfur had hoped she been so caught up in her singing that he'd be able to slip away unnoticed. As such was not the case, Raggedfur slowed to a halt and twisted his head over his shoulder. "No," He snapped reflexively. "I didn't. Now leave me be."

Her eyes darkened and she slipped her head back under fred the bush. that would teach her for opening up a little. while she hadnt been aware of her surroundings while she sang she had noticed him when she had finished. she curled up and resolved to stay under fred for a while. hopefully a badger would kill her. would serve her right too. the world wanted nothing more than to hurt her more and more untill she would shatter.

Raggedfur winced as he realized the capacity of his words. What was he doing, snapping so ferociously at a creature that was already so fragile? Sighing, Raggedfur backtracked a few pawsteps and cleared his throat akwardly, his eyes shifting anywhere but onto Okami. Good lord, could he ever get anything right? "Hey," He started, voice still gruff but softened slightly. "I lied. I did like the song. Now come outta that bush before you get yourself killed."

She flicked her ears and shoved her nose out of the bush sniffing for a few minutes before she stood and emerged from fred. pity he really was a nice bush, she patted fred down with her tail then looked at the other warrior. feeling herself tense alittle, she had never been good at socilizing. well, at least he didnt look at her with horror and shock when she was getting her warrior name. her heart throbbed thinking of Spottedheart. her heart felt like it was impaled with ice and fire. she stood a way away from him not trusting him completly for his earlier words. she watched him with her hollow black eyes that seemed to scream with ghosts of the past.

Raggedfur waited impatiently for Okami to detangle herself from the bush - what was she ven doing in a bush? - but immediately found himself wishing she was still strugglig with the brambles. Raggedfur had never been good with social interaction, especially not wih overemotional females that'd he'd just blatantly insulted. For Raggedfur, most social interactions were quick or bloody. In this case, he prefered the first. Raggedfur cast his eyes down onto his massive, pitch black paws. "You okay, then?"

"you don't have to talk if you do not wish it, i do not mind. Wolves do not like to be around me" her voice was hollow like an empty tree. her words though rang true, she watched him examine his black paws with her own eclipsed eyes. her red markings flashed on her pelt as she shifted her weight from one paw to the other. she could see how uneasy he was around her, and to her it was just another ice impalement in her heart.

Raggedfur snorted at her melodramatic words. He knew she was depressed and all, but did things really have to be this cinematic? Raggedfur supposed it was a Starclan-given trait exclusive to females. Not. "You didn't answer my question, woman." Raggedfur snipped, his temper slowly smoldering back up to its usual savage height.

Her black eyes glittered "no i am not fine" the hollowness ofher eyes starered at him with a almost spooky look. "if you had seen the way i act it would be obvious that i am not fine. I am cursed with a name that none can pronounce, i am cursed with the words of another language. I am cursed with the crimson markings apon my white hide" her lips rose a few centimeters "i will never be fine" she quipped tempted to dive back into fred.

Raggedfur sighed in exasperation at her cryptic words. As bad as he felt about snapping at her, Raggedfur was starting to get fed up with Okami and all her self-pitying. It wasn't like him to be as patient as he had been with Okami this far, and that small amout of patience was reaching its snapping point. Raggedfur just wanted to go home and find his brother. He was done dealing with snotty females. "When you're done stating the obvious, come back to camp." Raggedfur's words came out in a string of snappish growls before he turned on his heel and trotted back to camp. What an idiot.
