The Process for off-site joining is not quite clear.

Under "Joining" at "thefourclanswq.forumotion.com", it says:
PLEASE REMEMBER, from now on, unless the Clan is short on Warriors, you will be a pup in the Clan and work your way up.

In the Library, in the offsite members article, it says:
Because we love people from other websites, we're allowing you to begin anywhere you want: Pup, Apprentice, or Warrior! You'll be placed under that rank as well.

Which one is the true rule? I'd like a leader to answer this so there is not a question over the officialness of the answer.
