Featherpaw & hawkpool YAY!!!!

This is training and well just go with it




Pading into the clearing she waited for featherpaw and said "alright so what should we start on first fighting or hunting?" She then sat down and waited for her answer

Featherpaw emerged into the clearing, her fluffy tail wagging madly behind her. "It doesn't matter, really," she replied, sitting down infront of her mentor.

Noding her head back she said "well then lets start on fighting first cause it seems most importanat and hunting is of natural instinct" she then went over to her apprentice then continued "we will first learn the lighting strike" she then said "pretend im a invader of territory try to pretend im kinda like prey and stalk me" she then stood waiting for featherpup to hit her

Obeying Hawkpool, Featherpaw crouched down, her eyes blazing with determination. She swiftly moved across the ground stealthly, even though she could feel Hawkpool's gaze burning her pelt. She stopped crawling when she was about three fox-lengths away. She then darted forward, her front paw lashing against the side of her mentor's face. She stood back, but didn't see Hawkpool even flinch. "Dang," she said, disapointment posioning her words.

Feeling a rush of air from featherpaw she said "not many apprentices get it right the first time what you do is jump into some brmbles out of sight and stay down wind then when some one gives you the signal you pounce on the and either claw they or just pin them down" she then sat down again and said "try again"

"Ok," Featherpaw said, trying to sound cheerful again. She dived into a near-by hawthorn bush, lying in wait to confuse her mentor when she might attack. Suddenly, she dashed out of the bush, soaring over to where Hawkpool was. She crashed into Hawkpool's side, trying to barrel her over. But instead, Featherpaw tumbled to the ground, her attempt failing. Featherpaw's side connected with the ground, knocking the breath from her. She lept up to her paws and stared up at Hawkpool. Featherpaw expected to see her mentor lying on the ground, gasping for air, but instead she saw that her mentor hadn't moved a mouse-length. "Mouse dung!" she spat, kicking a small pebble with her fore-paw and sending it flying out of the hollow.

Noticing she fell down hawkpool went over to comfort her and said "it might be easier to get to know the basics" she then stepped back and said "try to knock me down" alert for movement she waited for featherpups attack

Featherpaw grunted, her black eyes steaming pools of determination. She back up a few paces, waited for a few moments, then dashed off. Her out-streached forepaws slammed into the side of her mentors face, using her claws to draw a tiny bit of blood, and sprang off. "I did it! I did it!" she yipped happly. But as she turned around, she saw that Hawkpool hadn't moved at all, staring at her with a tiny strip of her fur stained scarlet. "No!" Featherpaw wailed. Her third attempt hadn't done anything still.

Noticing featherpups shoulder bleeding she went over and said "well try to keep your eyes open here no blood is going to be shed only in battles so youll be able to see without blood getting in your eyes

Featherpaw bent over and licked her bleeding shoulder, the stench of blood filling her nose. "Can we try something else?" she asked, rasping her tounge over the small wound.

Nodding her head she said "alright lets try hunting" she then asked "what should you do when you encounter a rabbit,will it hear you first or feel you first"

Featherpaw sat down, her eyes glazed in thought. "Well, a rabbit had some pretty big ears, so i would say it hears you first," she said, lifting her hind leg to scratch an itch behind her ear.

"Correct how about a mouse,will it hear you first or feel you first"

Featherpaw let her leg drop. "Hmmmm...." she began. "Well, they're really small and stuff, so i doubt their ears would be big. And they're really close to the ground, so i would say feel,"

"Correct again,so what would you do if you saw a mouse" she then paused

"I would have to step lightly, but also quickly so it wouldn't sense me," she said, kneeding her paws into the ground.

"Correct again" she then noticed a fat mouse scurring about then nodded towards it to tell featherpup to try and catch it


Post. At snake rocks

Featherpaw nodded, slipping away into a near-by hawthorn bush. She slinked around in the under growth, her past knowlage of running experiences washing over her mind; her instincts taking over. She slithered past sticks and leaves, knowing they would give away her precence. She pounced on a tree root, sinking her claws in it to take most of the noise out of her landing, Prowling from root to root, she stealthly made her way across the border of the hollow until she was facing the back-side of the mouse, who was to busy nibbling on a nut to notice her presence. Determined to show that just because she wasn't great at fighting dosn't mean she wans't an excelent hunter, Featherpaw focused all her energy into this. The mouse was about three fox lengths away, but she didn't care. She leaped across the clearing, her well-built mussels propelling her over to the mouse. She landing just shy of the mouse, who attempted to dash away. Furious at failing, Featherpaw lashed out, the force of her anger sending the mouse flying into a tree. Stunned, it layed there for a few seconds, but Featherpaw was already across the clearing, her claws stained scarlet as her prey lied motionless, a stream of crimson flowing from a gash in its neck. "I can't believe i missed!" she spat angrily at herself, as she picked up the mouse in her jaws and trotted back over to Hawkpool.

"Well it takes more then one try......why dont you try again

Featherpaw dropped the mouse at Hawkpool's paws, her shoulders drooping. "Yes Hawkpool..." she sighed, heading back into the under-growth to search for some more prey. She paused and lifted her muzzel into the air, sniffing for any traces of prey. She whipped her head around and spotted a small red-squirrel, to busy nibbling on a nut to notice it's attacker. Featherpaw crouched down, ears and tails low, as she scooted towred her prey. When it was about two tail-lengths away from her, she rose to her paws and dashed across the clearing. The squirrel was fast. It dodged the trunks of the trees as it raced through the undergrowth. As it started scooting up an elderly ash, Featherpaw leaped up, three of her paws grasping the bark, and her right forepaw free. She pushed off with her hind legs and swatted her prey with her free paw, knocking it from its near santuary of peace and sending it tumbling to the ground. It sat there, stunned for a moment on what had happened. But that was all the time Featherpaw needed. She sprang from the sturdy tree, teeth bared in a snarl, as she landed squarely on her prey. There was a loud but short squeal of shock, cut off as she felt blood oozing in between her claws and a grin of satisfaction spreading across her face.

Smiling she said "nice job featherpup, now lets just set this prey aside we will bring it back to camp later,now do you feel confident you can try fighting

Featherpaw quickly bent down, grasping her prey, and dashing over to Hawkpool, not wanting to keep her mentor waiting. She dropped the squirrel over by the mouse, sitting down infront of Hawkpool. "I think i'm ready,"

Nodding her head she said "alright so lets try that first move again,i will show you fisrt" she then quickley jumped into the bushes noiselessly then began to stalk featherpaw as if she were prey keeping her belly as close to the ground as possibel
She then pounced on her careful to keep her claws sheathed
And knocked her down then said "sorry that was a bit hard wasn't it" she then helped featherpaw up

Featherpaw got up, her black fur dusty with grime. "Not really," she said, aware if that were an an enemy warrior she would have been crushed.

She then said "well then now you try" she then stood up and made her fur brissle and curled her lip in a snarl to pretend she was an intruder on the territory
