Sly and Blue's training

Walking up to his apprentice,he looked at him slowly and carefully. [color=blue]["Now,where shall be begin?"/color] His smirked slowly crawled across his face. He flicked her tail.

(I'm a guy thank you very much) Slypaw watched as his mentor taunted him. "Fight!" he said with determination He stared at his mentor waiting for the next. All the while he was calculating any move he could make. Thinking about starting with his strengths and trying his weaknesses later on so he could work on them for a while.

He grinned. "Ok show me what you've got." He back away and crouched, really to defend himself,or jump out of the way in time. He flicked his tail and grinned.

Accepting the challenge Slypaw got into his position too. He knew that Bluestorm was waiting for him to charge so he can be easily be dodged. Thinking it through quickly and lunged at the bigger wolf's feet to make him move. Seeing this as a good first tactic before trying something else.

Noticing Slypaw make a small jump,he dashed sideways,then stopped. Dust flying in the air. Covering his blue pelt. He grinned. Then dashed at him.

Sly paw saw Bluestorm run at him. He turned sideways and tried to bite the big wolf so he would have to move away. This wasn't turning out how Slypaw thought because Bluestorm was tough. He would have to try more aggressive tacteves.

Seeing Slypaw take a chomp at him,he felt his scruff taken away. Back on the ground,he quickly stood up and grinned. "Nice job. Looks like you've got the makings of a good fighter." He then sat down and licked his neck. "Now lets start on some basic moves." He stood up. Walking to a log,he jumped onto it. "Ok,pretend that this is a wolf's back." He then sank his claws deep into the log. "Now he can't claw you to death. And you can still hurt him." He then hopped off. "But watch out of they try to squish you." He chuckled.

Slypaw chuckled at Bluestorms example but got the just of it. He nodded his head at Bluestorm
" okay what happens when he tries to squish me?" Slypaw asked. Slypaw moved over to where Bluestorm was. He wouldn't miss anything useful for fighting.

"Well jump off. I just thought it might have been earlier to point in your head." He then sat down. "Well,there is another move I'd like to show you. But it might kill. So NEVER use this. Unless your opponent is trying to kill you." He growled warningly. "Well,its simple. Just take a hard bite to the neck."

Slypaw nodded gravely knowing this is how many clan wolves died but also knowing that in the nearby future it will be useful. Thinking of something else Slypaw realized something. " Isnt that how you kill prey too?" a smirk twisted across his face. He was not one to gloat but that made him smile.

He nodded. "Yes,you can kill prey with this method." He swished her tail. Then glanced around. "Speaking of prey,want to practice hunting?"

"Yes please!" Slypaw nodded his head to learn the few of his favorite things he could first. He would love hunting. It was just another way to provide for his clan.

He grinned. Then sat down. "Ok,first scent the air. What can you smell?" he flicked his tail.

"stormclan." he said with a grin on his face. He smelled his own clan smell. " And something else." he said lifting his nose to the air. It smelt like the food in clan but also different.

He raised his eyebrows and then scented the air himself. He smelt something familiar. His eyes widen and his from his throat came a growl. He sank his long claws in the ground. He lowered his head and crouched. Flicking his tail low to the ground. "Slypaw,have you ever heard of a badger?" His red eyes were burning for opportunity.

"No." he stated but took up the same position as bluestorm sencing that somthing was wrong. "what is it?" he asked. Slypaw put his nose up agian woundering which direction the smell was coming from.

He growled and glanced around. He slowly stalked forward. He then saw a big blur flash at him. He then found himself on the ground. Pinned down by a badger. He growled and bit its muzzle. It shook him around. He realesed his grip and was fling across the clearing. He growled and stood up. "Slypaw,remember your training."

Slypaw saw the thing dart forward and attack Bluestorm. Thinking quickly Slawpaw attacked when Bluestorm was flung. Running fast Slypaw jumped on the badgers back and scrapped his claws across its back and quickly jumped off. Hearing that his mentor was okay Slypaw proceeded. Knowing he couldn't let the badger gain any ground to get to his mentor, Slypaw ran back at the badger. he slammed into its side hoping to make it lose its balance. Being succsessful Slypaw went directly for the throat killing the beast instantly.
Coming out from under the beast came Slypaw. He was mostly unharmed except for a few scratches on his shoulder. He was satisfied with his work and was glad he protected his clan from this badger. He didn't know why the beast had come to attack to full grown wolves. This was not in the nature of any badger he had heard of. " why did the badger attack?" Slypaw asked almost in a growl. he was worried why he hadn't smelled the badger before he attacked.

Greeting up slowly,he shook his head. Large drops od scarlet dropped onto the ground. He looked at the apprentice and swallowed. "There might be a sett somewhere. It was probably protecting its territory." He then slowly walked to the body. He quickly dug a hole. He set the cold lifeless body inside. He then buried it. He sighed and felt blood drip on his eyebrow. "You ok? But good job taking it down." He blinked as another drip trickled down.

Slypaw looked over his mentor with concern. "I'm fine! Barley even scratched." he said barely taking his eyes off his mentor." Are you ok?" Slypaw would be sore but had not taken any hit. He only had a few scratches on his shoulder when the badger tried to claw him away.

Shaking his head,he sighed. "I'll be fine." He then stood up straight. His pelt not looking as ruffled as before. "So back to training. What do you want to do now?" He stood over the apprentice. He was big when he was a pup. He now towered over even some senior warriors.

"I believe I was learning to hunt." Slypaw asked hoping he could do as well in hunting as he had in fighting. He looked back at Bluestorm. He hoped he could catch something to bring back and help his clan

He nodded. "Well then,lets go back to where we started." He glanced around. "Ok,scent the air. What do you smell? And don't tell me you smell snake." He chuckled and sighed.

Slypaw stuck his nose in the air and sniffed. "Nothing." he sighed disapointed. the only thing he smelled was the dead badger and a weird smell that was probably somthing dead. He looked back at his mentor but then tried agian. "Buck!" he said happily.

He grinned. "Nice job." He stepped up to Slypaw. "Right nows,our leader of a hunting patrol. So,show me the way." She flicked his tail and glanced around cautiously. Slowly narrowing his eyes.
