Sunningrocks

Blackhawk had become better and faster with his twisted leg. He made sure to keep Phoenixfire's scent coming towards himself, he smiled. When he was within range, he hopped on his back leg and hopped forwad landing squarely on Phoenixfires' shoulders making him crumple. He jumped off landing on all three.

Phoenixfire crumpled to the ground with a cough then pushed himself up shaking out his pelt "nice attack blackhawk!" he grinned then leapt at his friend using his superiour weight to pin him down he bared his white fangs in a grin.

Blachakw laughed, "I've been working on it." His rigkt back leg had gotten stronger in the absence of his left leg. Pushing up with all his might he managed to throw Phoenixfire off. He chuckled and sat down.

Phoenixfire soared through the air and landed a little unsteadily he laughed softly then stretched saying "wel would you like to help me hunt? the fresh kill pile has been looking a little low"

Blackhawk nodded, "Of course!" He looked around for any sign of prey.

Phoenixfire closed his eyes and began to relax, soon the sounds of his breathing drifted away and he could hear without a problem, he could hear blackhawk shifting his paws around a little then moved his ears a little more, there! he heard a rodent of some sort snuffling through the leaflitter, inhaling through his nose he identified the animal as a otter. his eyes snapped open, what was an otter doing this far away from the river? never mind he shifted his weight around and pounced sinking his teeth into the creatures scruff. he shook his head ferouciously until he broke the otters neck and walked back to where he had buried the water vole. he dug up the water vole and placed the otter with it

Blackhawk looked around, his keen eyesight picking up every detail. He saw something rather big and brown. He stalked towards it, to see a mouse. He sniffed the air, something was wrong. Believing it came from elsewhere he stalked quietly towards it. He smiled he was so close now, and it was too busy to notice. With lighting speed his trapped the animal in between his paws. He smiled and stuck in his muzzle to grab it. The small animal put up afight throwing itself everywhere, he grabbed it but it was in such a frenzy, he couldn't hold it still. He lost his grip and the mouse gave him a bite on the nose, "Ow!" He chased after angrily and lost it in the undergrowth. He growled.

phoenixfire glanced up and tilted his head, he walkd over and sniffed his friends nose "your nose is bleeding" he frowned looking at his friend he sat down.

Blackhawk growled at himself, "Ugh I've always been clumsy." He began licking his nose.

Phoenixfire nodded and said "well you will get better with time anyway" he turned and returned to his hunting ritual, his ears locating prey then his nose telling him what prey it was, crouching down he leapt at the bushes and pinned down a stray cat. he backed up a little and watched it race off tilting his head he snorted "my nose is whacked up it thought that the cat was a mouse" he looked down at the place where he had pinned the cat and saw that there was mouse blood all over the place and a dead mouse. he snorted then walked back towards blackhawk.

Blackhawk chuckled and continued licking his nose, which was beggining to tingle. He smiled and continued looking for prey.

Phoenixfire padded over to sunning rocks and thrust his paw in a crack throwing up a Rather fat mouse, with a killing bite to its neck he threw it on the pile of kill that he was rapidly obtaining, he yawned and rested on the warm rocks for a bit smirking a little at the wolves on the other side of the river.

With a burst os sudden speed Blackhawk chased a rabbit. It was all so sudden he barely had time to process it. all he knew is that something in the corner of his eye flashed and he was after it, he chased it around and through bushes. Thorns tugging at his pelt he grabbed the flailing rabbit in his jaws. He smiled at his large vicctory and padded back. He dropped it and panted.

Phoenixfire grinned "thats awesome! welldone black hawk should we go back and stock up the fresh kill pile then?" he leapt down from sunning rocks and picked up the otter in his mouth and held the water vole under his chin, he shoved the mouse over to blackhawk to carry.

Blackhawk pretend to frown, "Fine." He grabbed his rabbit and Phoenix's mouse and walked back to camp, a strange feeling beggining to set in his nose.

-TC camp-

-TC CAMP--

*Scratch enters warily, padding in the shallow water to mask his scent. He hesitates, rolls on the ground to further conceal his scent, then presses on to the Great Sycamore.*

Rainstar ran forward and laughed triumphantly. She smiled and said nothing as she immediatley set to work. Her ears were perked and her nose quivered. A confused look came over the females face. She sniffed around, yet not a fresh trail of prey was found. Rainstar perked her ears yet the only sound was of the river rushing by. She sat down confused, Where is the prey?

Phoenixfire bounded up after rainstar laughing also, he stopped as rainstar listened around, he also listened and frowned. where was the prey... normally there were hundreds of prey sounds now there was barely any. his ears flattened as his tail began to flick. something had been taking thunderclan prey...

Rainstar turned and looked as Phoenifire ran in. "It's not just me right? You notice it too?" The female wa utterly confused and it showed in her body language as she paced the rocks. What can be happening and what is taking our prey exactly when we need it?

Phoenixfire nodded and padded closer to her, he licked her cheek to encourage her then lifted his head to scent the slightly chilled leaf-fall wind. the wind ruffled his fur and tugged on his ears. after a few moments he flicked his ears back and glanced at her "nothing at all..." he gritted his teeth and said "we should scout around for whatever is cleaning up the prey that we desperatly need" he suggested. Orangy Yellow eyes keen and sharp, a glint hidden in his eyes that showed that he would tear anything to shreds that would dare threaten thunderclan. his tail touched the ground lightly before he raised it up behind him and gave a low challenging growl. he padded off nose to the ground sniffing around for any sign of what could be taking the clans precious prey.

Rainstar made a small whining sound. She set to work, having one of the bst noses in the clan. Truth be told all of her senses were very strong, didin't matter what the weather. Her ears pinned to her head she sniffed around and found a trail, a weak trail of something. She frowned trying to remember what it was.

Running into the clearing,she stopped at the sight of rain and phoenix. She then groaned and steped out into the open and said "i thought you two lovebirds were in camp,also i smelled a loner on our territory before while we were at the sycamore,but now i lost him,and now." She paused to let it sink in. She whispered it slowly dogs.... She always hated it when those stupid twolegged playthings. Dogs,they are so mich stupid then they wolves. Although they were still strong,they could still be a nuisance.

(Ugh hawkpool again,i cant seem to get this)

Brightpup ran on after Hawkpool and only stopped when she bumped into the she-wolf. She stood and shook her ruffled fur then padded around from behind Hawkpool to stand next to her. She spotted Phoenixfire and Rainstar then looked up as Hawkpool spoke of a loner and the dogs. She shivered a bit and tok one small step closer to Hawkpool, knowing hat if those dogs managed to follow them here, that Hawkpool would do her best to protect her and Eviepup. Speaking of which, Brightpup turned to look behind her, hoping Swiftpaw and Eviepup would be right there behind her.

Rainstar looked up, her ear flicked an acknowledgement that she had heard. She put her nose to te ground and nodded. "So thats it." She whispered uietly. "Well, " She was basically looking at her whole clan. "To make everything worse, the dogs are taking our prey." The leader sat down, "Let us go back to camp and decide how to take action." The leader stood, she wa oddly quiet and her voice was cold when she spoke. Her eyes had lost the fun light in them, replaced by a distant memory.
