Sunningrocks

Emberpaw flashed a sly grin. She leaned over, giving him a playful shove with her shoulder. The apprentice's tail unfurled itself, wagging like a flag on a windy day. She sat down, pretending to groom herself.

Pretending to be shocked Copperpaw fell onto his side with a dramatic expression. he pushed himself up and said in a gentelmanly way "i apoligise madam, however could you please return to your home in the two leg place for tonight is a special night of gathering and it would not be looked apon as swell for a lady such as yourself to be there without being accepted into a clan first". he dipped his head then said "hey emberpaw hows training going? shadowpaw and i killed a fox!"

Emberpaw tossed her head, her chin lifted like she was important. She gave a "pftt" like sound, with a disdainful look, pretending she wasn't impressed. "Well, just the other day, I helped kill a stag." She scoffed, barely able to contain her laughter.

"yeah helped" he said tauntingly "i could easily beat you!". he then swaggered down to the river and shoved his face in the water as he began to drink. he blew bubbles as he drank. a favourite habit of his. he was a bit of an oddball.

Emberpaw glanced over at Copperpaw. She stood, slowly creeping over to him. She stopped behind him, crouching down. She leaped forward, aiming to knock him over into the water.

He plunged in head first and ended up on his back. feet in the air head and body in the water. he struggled to right him self, the currents of the river around him. he held in his breath and continued rocking trying to get onto his four paws again. a fear settled into his chest.

Emberpaw sat down, chuckling loudly. She peered down into the water, her eyes laughing. "Come on, quit messing around." She waited. And waited. Her eyes widened slightly, standing up. "Come on. Really, stop joking around." A panicky feeling fluttered in her chest as she watched Copperpaw flounder in the water. Acting on impulse, she suddenly leapt into the icy water, waves closing in over her head. Her paws churned the water, propelling her upward. Her head broke the surface. "Copperpaw? Copperpaw! Where are you!?" She franticly scanned the water for any sign of the male.

As emberpaw plunged into the water he got further pushed out, one of his paws flew out of the water and paddled frantically trying to turn him around. his copper eyes screamed fear and chaos in his mind. he continued struggling.

Emberpaw took a large breath as the water sucked her down into the depths again. Her head emerged, and she gasped for breath as she paddled out to Copperpaw. "Hold on!" she spluttered, nearing the male. Her head snapped forward multiple times, hoping to grab hold of Copperpaw.

one of her churning paws placed its self on Copperpaws nose and pushed. flipping him around under the water he churned and took a grateful gasp of air. he turned and began heading back to the thunderclan side of the river. glancing over at the river clan side he shoved his head under the water grabbing a fish before he made it back to shore.

Emberpaw paddled after Copperpaw. The river water washed into her eyes, making her vision blurry. They neared the ThunderClan side of the bank, and she hauled herself onto the shore, her russet pelt dripping. She sat down, glancing at Copperpaw's catch. "Impressive, considering you needed saving," she joked, staring out across the water.

Shadowpaw arrived limping to Sunning rocks. When she got there she saw Emberfeather and Copperpaw climbing out of the river. she limp over to them. "what happen?" " our you guys alright?" she asked a little confused about what was going on.

He nodded breathlessly and fell to the ground gnawing on the food. he wasnt exactly being quiet whlie eating and was making several interesting noises. his tail flickered from side to side, as he chowed down. licking his lips he put his head down and yawned.

Shadowpaw stared at Copperpaw not really convinced that he was really okay. She watched with mild amusement while he ate what looked like a fish. ' your eating fish, well thats certainly interesting." She eyed Emberfeather, " hello Emberfeather."

Emberpaw turned her head as Shadowpaw appeared. She shook her head. "Nothing, really. We just fell in the River was all. Things turned a bit badly, so we managed to swim back to shore." She cast a glance over at Copperpaw. "You okay?" she said quietly. She hadn't intended to hurt him. She was only playing around. She turned her gaze back to Shadowpaw. "I'm Emberpaw. I'm not a Warrior yet."

Copperpaw spat out a spout of water and said "yeah im fine, just drank half the river is all". he stood and shook all of the water offhis fur. he blinked and smiled "hey three apprentices, anyone care for some exploration?" he grinned slightly devilishly.

Emberpaw's eyes twinkled. She was glad he wasn't seriously hurt. "I'm up for it. What about you?" She turned to Shadowpaw, smiling friendlily.

she shook her pelt because he had gotten water on her. " yea, where you thinking of going," she asked curiously. in her mind she was thinking why was Emberfeather and Copperpaw doing here alone. ahh, Shadow this is not the time to be jealous.

Copperpaw with the true spirit of an apprentice said "well since everybody else will be going to the gathering why dont WE go to the borders and do a bit of reconnaissance for if we ever battle other clans! im going for the old shadowclan and thunderclan border". he chuckled, his copper eyes alight with mischeif.

Emberpaw's tail wagged. She grinned slyly. "I love it!" She stood up, bouncing on her toes in excitement.

Shadowpaw got up and wagged her tail. "yea, this is going to be so much fun." " although we have to make it back before the gathering is over." "and then after that i want to eat."

He nodded and turned and lightly spun off. his paws slapped the ground as he ran along feeling the wind dry hsi pelt. he gave a happy bark and pushed himself even faster. his tongue flying out of his mouth as he did so

Shadowpaw ran after Copperpaw with a little limp. But not before she shot a glaring look at Emberfeather. the look of hes mine. she was not going to let her steal Copperpaw away from her. she followed him to the Thunderclan and shadowclan border.

Jasmine decided to follow them. She had no reason to do so. Yet, non reason to do it either. The dog ran after them.

Emberpaw watched as Shadowpaw and Copperpaw dashed off. Her neck bristled as Shadowpaw cast her a glare. Her frame became ridgid and she snorted. How dare she! Like I have any interest in him! An idea occurred to her, and a devious smile touched her maw. Perhaps I can have a bit of fun with this. With that, the russet apprentice trotted after them.
