Sunningrocks

First topic message reminder :

Sunningrocks is a group of rocks the warriors use to bask in the sun. Sunningrocks is located at the very border between RiverClan and ThunderClan, next to the river. It is a large, flat rock formation in full view of the sun, getting very warm, therefore, it is a desirable location for warriors to take a break or elders to get out and stretch their legs. There are lots of prey animals nearby.

Echopaw was shaking. She was in total shock. Her heart pace was fast and her eyes wide with fear. She looked to Stormpaw, he had saved her life. Echostorm… the name was stuck in her head. Her warrior name would be Echostorm; after the wolf who saved her life.
"I'm... I'm... fine... thank you Stormpaw…" she gasped.
She then realized she had to train with Rainwhisper.
"I... have to go... Im sorry.." Echopaw stammered then sprinted off to camp to see if Rainwhisper was still there.

Rocky looked at Stormpaw as the apprentice told the other about Firestar; it seemed dogs had joined Clans before. He wondered if he should join this Clan as well. He nodded to Echopaw as she said they should go, padding over to her and also stopping when he noticed a bird. His tail wagged as he looked at the bird, but he saw Echopaw trying to hunt it so he stayed where he was. The dog's eyes grew wide as Echopaw nearly fell. Stormpaw had helped her, and Echopaw ran back to camp. "I'll go visit where your pack is if you don't mind; I think Echopaw told me to go there earlier." He said, and ran in the direction Echopaw had ran towards.

Hawkpool set Echopaw down. She then padded around. She spotted a mouse and read after it. She bit its neck and quickly killed it. She then raced back to Echo. She squeezed the blood from the mouse into her mouth. She then nudged the prey next to her.

Echo didn't move. She felt numb all over. Her heart pace was dangerously slow. She couldn't move nor could she taste the blood that was squeezed in her mouth.

Hawk pressed Echo's chest. Trying to pump air into her. And trying to relive her. "Come on Echo. Get up."

Echopaw couldn't move, everything, every bone felt broken. She slowly breathed air but could not wake up. She let out little wails as if she was having a nightmare.

Moonpaw raced after Hawk and Echo's scent. She skidded to a stop when she heard a wail. Moon flicked deer ears and stalked towards them. She saw Hawk on Echo. Echo seemed asleep. She growled.

Hawk turned to Moonpaw. She sighed. "Help me get her to camp." Hawk then took Echo by the scruff.

Echopaw whimpered in her sleep. The unconcious she-wolf was horribly bruised in the legs. She heard talking in the background but everything was a blur.

Moonpaw noded and took her by the scruff as well. She quickly scampered back to camp. Her tail erect. And panting through the fur.

Hawk pulled Echo with Moon. She flicked her tail and blinked. Her white legs steadily making her way to camp. Her tail flicking behind her.

"What the heck happened to her!" He saw that the love of his life was hurt. He saw Hawkpool bring her back to camp. Dang it I need to help her!

Echopaw was dragged along to camp. Her breathing was shallow; but she was alive. She started to gain conciousness as she realized she was being dragged.

Rainwhisper padded slowly to the rocks, waiting patiently for her friend. She sat doubts crossing her mind suddenly. Feather wasn't supposed to have pups... What if they got caught? I used to be the leader and now look at me... but my friend... she needs me now... Besides who wouldn't do this for their friend? I'm not doing anything wrong by helping her, who hasn't stumbled before? But wiatwho is the father? It could be Nightowl... no impossible. If he was, he obviously loved her more... and I was only the second option... No impossible, how dare I say that about him? Besides it doesn't matter who is the father anymore all that matters is that she'll be fine. The black and white female looked at the floor kneading the paws nervously.

Feathersoul approached Rainwhisper, her belly aching as she felt ripples going down them. She collapsed, panting heavily. She spat out the leaf wraps, pointing to the one that contained her herbs. "Follow my instructions," she rasped, wincing at each contraction.

Rainwhisper watched Feathersoul as she walked up, taking a standing position as she looked around alertly. Her eyes narrowed as she nodded and watched each contraction Feather went through. Rain's ears flattened she had never thought she would be doing this. Yet, she went over to Feather and smiled, "Tell me what to do."

Feathersoul inhaled deeply, trying to maintain her breathing. "Okay, here's what you need to do. First, find the leafwrap that smells strongly," She paused, wearily flicking her tail at the two of the leaves containing herbs. "and open it."

Rainwhisper nosed through the leaves carefully. She nodded and picked the strongest scented one and picked it up. Her ears shoved forward she waited for Feather to tell her what was next. She just hoped... she would do it right.

Feathersoul squeezed her eyes shut, groaning. "Okay...mmph,...grab the fern like plant with little white flowers on it, chervil, and bring it over here." She pasued, gulping in breaths. "Then the little yellow Dandelions and the round fuzzy Lamb's Ear."

Rainwhisper rushed to grab what she was told. She sniffed around nervously, the sounds Feather was making making her feel slightly rushed. she gathered them and turned to Feather, "Then?"

Feathersoul concentrated on breathing, in and out, slow and steady. "Okay, just give me the three herbs I named. Quickly." She sank her claws into the ground, fighting her labor to make sure Rainwhisper knew what to do first.

Rainwhisper nodded and grabbed the herbs, she placed them before the female and blinked. "Okay here they are, eat them up. Go now!" She felt rushed and nervous. How do medicine wolves do this?

Feathersoul scooped up some of the herbs, leaving the bit of parsley and comfrey. Swallowing them, she scooped up the comfrey in her mouth, washing them down with its juice before spitting out the herb itself. Grunting, she rolled over, letting her contractions begin to push out the pups. After a long struggle, her first pup popped out. "Nip open the sack and start licking its fur backwards," she rasped, beginning to push again.

Rainwhiper nodded and watched the first pup. Her eyes became alight with happinness for her friend, and all thought or doubt left her mind as she set to work on the pup. She smiled grandly nosed it carefully as she began to lick its fur backwards, she looked up at feathersoul as more contractions came. Rian hurried to finish with the small pup

Feathersoul grimanced in pain, pushing out her second pup. It was much larger than the first, and her womb hurt from the pressure. She gasped, inhaling quickly. Shutting her eyes, she pushed a final time, her third and final pup slipping out. She relaxed, rolling onto her side. It was finally over. Wearily, she bent over her last two pups, nipping open their sacks and licking their fur gently.
