Fangpaw training with Silverheart<3

Hunting Large Animals : 14 for hit, 8 for miss (14/60)

Hunting Medium-Sized Animals : 9 for hit, 5 for miss (9/60)

Fishing : 4 for hit, 2 for miss (10/40)

Finding Prey : 4 for large, 8 for medium, 4 for small, 6 for fish (20/60)

Finding Herbs : 5 per successful find (0/60)

Scouting for Predators : 8 for successful scouting w/out injury, 5 for successful w/ minor injury, 2 for successful w/ major injury (16/60)

Offensive Fighting : 5 for Successful hit, 2 for unsuccessful hit. (15/60)

Defensive Fighting : 7 for Successful block, 3 for unsuccessful block. (28/60)

The wind billowed sending a chill down her spine as she waited for Fangpaw. Willows creaked and grass swayed she kneaded her paws against the earth. Her nostril filled with the scent of nearby prey. Muscles relaxed and ready to see how the first day of training was going to go. Lifting her muzzle into the air she smiled at the thought of actually being a mentor. But she wasn't to go head over heals and rush this whole thing at once. She will learn along side Fangpaw and pass on what Magmafeather had taught her. The rustle of prey hid in the underbrush in the skirts of the forest. Light poured onto her silvery gray and white making the warmth pour into her body. Grooming her pelt one last time before she would begin the training.

As the wind was knocked from her she grunted. Toppling over and squirming upwards as grits of dusts flung into her blue brown eyes. Snorting as dust confused and left her baffled dumbstruck sitting on the ground. Twisting her neck she could barely spot her apprentice, but she was alert. All was quiet not even a bird dare chirped in the midst of this awkward silence.

Fangpaw smirked as his mentor was now sitting down, he charged once again, and this time, he had her in a 'death' grip, and had her underneath his weight. Biting down on her scruff to indicate the neck, the apprentice smiled in triumph. "Boom. You're dead." He mused happily before jumping off of Silverheart and waiting for her response.

Squinting her eyes she was surprised at his strength. Grunting as he hopped off swallowing the lump in her throat. Shaping her had she moved quicker than light swinging around him batting ears and scooping him up with a frail paw. Sending only a few inches into the air then reared ready to catch him if he wasn't able to catch himself. He had learned more than she had expected.

The apprentice yelped as she batted his ears and sent them flying into the air. "What theee..." He mumbled as he soon landed awkwardly on all fours. "Pshh, dead wolves can't fight." Fangpaw referred to earlier as he said something about Silverheart being dead. Walking over to his mentor, the apprentice didn't really realize that he had sprained his paw. But oh well. He'll get over it seeing as it was a minor sprain.

Chuckling she swiped her tongue over her muzzle swiftly. Staring slightly watching as he walked with a bit of an uneven step. Sitting down she sighed heavily and glances at the frigid river, that soon might be even froze over. Cringing she swallowed the lump in her throat, swinging her head around. "I think that was enough fighting for today" she barked flatly. "How about we scout for predators now?" She said gesturing towards the snow filled forest that was sure to hold some surprises.

The apprentice nodded, thinking that would be a good idea. "Lead the way." He suggested with a slight limp in order to be beside Silverheart. Sure, he would fall behind, but might as well start with being beside his mentor.

Nodding she pressed herself lightly against him. "Are you okay, Fangpaw?" She said still taking brisk steps forward. Scenting many wonderful smells age was slightly tempted to run off and hunt. Glancing down at her apprentice she gave him warm affectionate smile.

Fangpaw glanced his way at Silverheart and nodded. "Yeah, I'll just have to walk it off." Placing pressure against his sprained paw, it hurt; though not that much. "So where are we going?" He inquired, changing the subject from his paw to the whole reason of why they were there.

"Oh okay, good!" She barked softly glancing forward. "Just to a shadowed gully where most predators lurk for prey to snatch up." Pacing ahead a few steps only catching a stale trace of dog, but something hit her. It smelled like coyote, and they were horrible annoying pests. Growling under her breath she whipped around and gestured towards the small valley. Staring into the swishing bushes as she thought of Fangpaw being injured any further.

The apprentice nodded as she talked, but he scented an animal that wasn't a wolf or dog, but it was similar. He had never encountered this scent before, so following with a limp, Fangpaw caught up with Silverheart and looked at her face which was filled with concern. "What scent is that?" He asked in a whisper. It wasn't everyday when you get to fight during training sessions.

Lowering her head slightly she whispered with a slight smirk. "Coyote" she stated bluntly wrinkling her nose at the scent of the scavenger. Backing away she allowed him to the path the scent trailed off on. "Do the Honor's!" She barked jokingly shaking her head in laughter.

The apprentice have heard of those a while back when he was a pup. They were like wolves but smaller. Seeing as Silverheart stepped back, Fangpaw smiled at her and limped his way forward, scenting the way ahead of them every now and then until he stopped short. A few feet away, there stood the coyote. He didn't know what to do, so he faced his mentor and looked at her with an expression that said 'now what'.

Raising an eyebrow watching intently her fur bristling. "Just give it a nice scare then chase it to the border" she whispered to her apprentice. Glancing at the coyote she growled softly and gave it a cold death glare. Leaving the job to apprentice she was ready to see how he did with this coyote.

Nodding intently and keeping his aquamarine gaze locked onto the coyote, Fangpaw let out a deep bark escape his throat and thus his chase began. He was taller and bigger than the animal, so within seconds they were running to a border. Which border you may ask? The border between ThunderClan and Riverclan.

"The nearest border" she barked drinking in the air. Turning in a circle she picked up the scent of stale Badger and shook her head in disgust. Watching as the small coyote scampered she smiled darkly and nodded approvingly. "Go ahead and make sure it learned its lesson!" She barked as she began tracing back into the forest. Something seemed quite strange today, but she couldn't make it out.

Fangpaw listened and snarled at the coyote, who was still scampering away at an amazing speed. But luckily he was about the same speed as well, so he pounced, and landed onto the fox, and growled deeply at it. Then swiping its face and jumping off its back, he watched it run off and out of the territory. "There."

Turning her attention to her apprentice she nodded approvingly. "Great job!" She barked making it echo through the spanse of trees. Then she elegantly padded towards the dead creature and snarled in disgust at the horrible fumes. It was surely dead and her apprentice was nearly trained to the maximum. Looking up at the sky it was now a dusty gray with specks of deep blue.

Fangpaw nodded in happiness as he looked at the sky as well. "So, what's next?" He inquired, his excitement clearly bounding off the walls seeing as his confidence had boosted after that little chase. His ankle was all fine now, seeing as all he needed to do was just walk it off.

"Would you like to attempt hunting again?" She gesturing towards a herd of elk in the distance. Raising an eyebrow she began to slip into the underbrush where she would watch. This was one of his last tasks and he would be done. Hopefully all goes well and he does fine as a warrior.

His turquoise eyes narrowing at the herd, the male nodded. "Sure." He replied simply, before watching Silverheart dive into a bush where she would watch. The last time he did this ended up as a complete failure, so he might as well try again. Breaking off from a walk to a jog then a sprint as he neared, the apprentice kept his gaze locked at the smallest and weakest one of the herd that had lagged to the back of the herd.

Once he approached, the herd broke off into a sprint as well, leaving him chasing the small baby elk. With one grand leap, the apprentice knocked the elk off of its feet with the rest of the herd running away. As the elk thrashed, so did Fangpaw. After minutes of fighting the baby elk, the apprentice locked his jaw on the throat of the animal, and with a large and powerful bite, the elk's windpipe crushed underneath him and left the animal dead.

Licking his lips from the elk blood, he smiled in triumph and sat there proudly at his kill. All's well that ends well.

Smiling she pulled herself from underneath the bush shaking the loose pieces of leaves from her silver pelt. The smell of elk blood tempted her, but she kept a steady pace towards the fresh killed baby elk. Dipping her head to Fangpaw "That was an amazing take down!" She barked sweetly and clamped her jaw on its neck. It was dead, no pulse whatsoever and the glazed eyes sered blank withbtge stained look of pure terror. "I say you try catching a small fawn or something while I review your training and take this back to camp" she said beginning to pad away. "He careful out there!" She howled over her shoulder as she began picking up the pace. White claws churning up the frosted ground as she pounded towards camp. Finally setting it down she took a deep breath and gulped down the blood that trickled down her throat. Speeding off back to where she had left Fangpaw.

When Silverheart left with his kill, the apprentice sighed and licked his lips before trotting off and looking for something small to hunt while she did so. Raising his muzzle into the air and sniffing around, he had caught scent of a small mouse. It may not compare to his elk, but you know, it'll do for the pups. Dropping low to a crouch, he stalked to where the scent was strong, and caught sight of the mouse's tail twitch. Once he got close enough, the apprentice leaped and landed, but the mouse had scampered away while he was in the air. Huffing, Fangpaw sat there afterwards.

Skidding to a halt she churned her paws in the slippery snow. Wafting in the aroma of a bedded beaver just near the river. Making her way towards the bank she scoffed realizing it was too far in. Spinning around she slid back into the underbrush and took a deep breath. Small clouds of mist escaping her nose as she breathed the cold winter air. Just then a mouse scampered to a nearby bush and hid in a crevice in a boulder. Making her blue-brown eyes to slits she darted forward her gaze locked with its glossy black beady eyes. Snapping her jaws on its warm scruff finishing it off quickly. Now it was back off to see how Fangpaw did.

Hearing shuffling, the apprentice's head snapped over to realize it was Silverheart, along with the exact same mouse that had scampered away. "Oh." Was all that he said, before standing up and shaking his pelt from the leaves that had blew onto his pelt. "So what are we doing now?" he asked, seeing as he was completely oblivious to what his mentor had in stock for him.

Smiling she set down the mouse and nudged it towards him. "You deserve it" she murmured. Looking up she grinned and glanced towards the river. "Would you like to try your luck with the fish again?" She said her tail swishing behind her. This was his last task and he would be done with training. A flash back of all the memories of training hit her. Smiling she shook her head and looked at her apprentice
