Highstones/Mothermouth

The place where you're closest to StarClan. A huge, underground cavern with a large crystal, the Moonstone, in the middle. When the moon is right, the crystal lights and sparkles. When arriving, you must walk down the large, cramped underground pathway with barely any light. Then when you get there, you must wait. When the crystal begins to sparkle, you lay down and put your nose to the crystal and close your eyes. There you receive dreams from StarClan. When travelling to the Moonstone you cannot eat anything- even travelling herbs.

New leaders go here, as well apprentices for one trip and Medicine Wolves go here every half moon. Once you end the dream, you do not tell anyone what you saw. Leaders come here to receive their nine lives and for guidance.

Skydust thought about StoneStars words for a moment. He knew they were true, Skydust would not have traded his clan for the world. "I know that, and i would never give up the life i live." He smile and preceded Stonestar into the cave, his mouth now closing.

It always filled him with awe to come here, he had only been here two or three times before, but each time was an inspiring night. He moved to where there would be room for the both of them, of course there was plenty of room, but it never hurt to move to the side. He wondered when the stone would shine, it was a fact that Windclan was the closest to Starclan, of course they didn't tell that to the other clans, it tended to make them upset, but at least the Windclan knew it.

Skydust stood in the cave that held the moonstone, and waited, and waited. It seemed forever. He shifted his on his feet, used to standing for long periods, he was able to shift weight to prolong the amount of time he stood.

Skydust wanted to sigh, to move around but the feelings created here prevented him from doing anything but shuffling his feet. When it seemed the two wolves had wait most of the night away, light began to flirt to his eyes. It took him a moment to realize that the light was not from the sun but the stone. He blinked and let his eyes adjust as the light got brighter. Nodding his head to Stonestar, the smaller male went to lie down.

Stonestar

"Welcome Stonewhisper." The WindClan member hears voices all around him. Peering about through some kind of haze, he sees he is in a kind of clearing surrounded by trees. Pairs of eyes watch him closely as he is stood there, sparkling in the sunlight. A wolf in particular jumps down from a walk and approaches. She is dark cream with light green eyes and is very recognizable. Spottedstar, the previous leader of WindClan. Sadness filled Stonewhisper as he saw her, but he noticed she appeared to be healthy, happy, and in the prime of her youth. Gracefully, all of the wolves seem to back off except 9 of them, whom form a circle around the new WindClan Leader. "Hello Stonewhisper." Spottedstar says, smiling. "I think you know why you are here. WindClan needs a new leader, and you have been chosen. We will now grant you the nine lives you will need in order to perform the duties of your Clan. After you lose your ninth life, you will be joining us in StarClan. Once you receive these, you must immediately go back to your Clan because they will need you." Her eyes darken. "Dark times are approaching, Stonewhisper." Without saying any more, she approaches and touches the top of Stonewhisper's head with her nose. A delightful feeling fills the male wolf for a moment, before she steps away. "I give you the virtue of kindness and compassion in order to do what is right." She says quietly, before stepping back. A new wolf steps forward. He is darkly furred, calm, and proud with sparkling golden eyes. Excited, Stonewhisper leans forward slightly, wanting to know what next feeling will occur. However, once the male wolf touches the wolf's head with his nose, agony fills the new leader. The howling, moaning, whining, and death cries of other wolves fills his body. Stonewhisper writhes back and forth on the ground. After a moment, the wolf steps back. "I give you the virtue of protection, in which you must understand in order to do what is right and aid your Clan during its darkest hours." The wolf steps back, and another one comes forward. This time, a female. She touches her nose to Stonewhisper's head. The feeling of being free fills him, of flying with the birds and even reaching the stars. She steps back and says softly "I give you energy, you will need it in the time to come." Another female wolf steps forward, with light-green eyes. Once she touches her nose to Stonewhisper's head, a feeling of longing and happiness fills him. She steps back. "I give you the virtue of love." she says simply, before stepping back. Another wolf, male this time, breaks off from the group. He is large, cream wolf and a glitter of amusement seems to sparkle in his eyes. He touches Stonewhisper's head with his nose. A large, booming voice fills his mind. "I give you the virtue of courage in order to do what is right and achieve greatness." A smaller wolf comes forward, one who doesn't appear to be an adult- rather, some kind of adolescent wolf. He presses his nose to Stonewhisper's head. All the things he has learned so far rushes through his brain, and then even more. A different kind of longing fills him- one of knowledge. The young wolf steps back. "I give you the virtue of knowledge and wisdom. Use it wisely." A red-furred wolf steps forward. Once his nose touches the leader's head, he steps back after only a moment. "I give you the virtue of justice. Use it in order to discover what is true." By now, the leader is exhausted. He had been counting in his head from the beginning, and now he was on life number 7. Only two more remained. Another female wolf comes forward. Her pelt is a mixture of browns, creams, and reds. She touches her grey nose to the leader's head. "I give you the virtue of righteousness. Use it in order to fairly give punishments and orders as well as to judge others wisely." Finally, there was one wolf left. A large, jet black wolf approaches with golden eyes. He touches his nose to the leader's head. "I give you loyalty to your Clan as well as the Warrior Code in order to do what is right." He steps back, and now all nine do as well. They don't speak. A little off to the right, he notices a faint outline, as if a wolf was there but... not totally. After a few moments, he realizes it is himself. Spottedstar notices his glance. "As I said... After your nine lives have been used, you will come to join us. Congratulations, Stonestar."


Suddenly everything becomes dark and the sun disappears to be replaced by huge, menacing black clouds. The other StarClan wolves look up at the sky in surprise, and without a moments notice are gone. Spottedstar's words echo in his mind. "Go back to your Clan..." and then her voice disappears altogether. Rain begins pouring down. Wind buffets the leader left and right until he can no longer control himself. Stonestar runs away from the clearing, though does not know where he is going. He reaches a large cliff and overlooks a huge meadow. The bodies of wolves are everywhere, and a red liquid surrounds him, going in all directions. Turning around, his path where he came from his gone. Now Stonestar is left standing on a rock in the middle of a sea of blood. All of the sudden the earth starts shaking and a loud rumble is heard in the distance. The ground beneath his feet cracks and opens a huge hole beneath his paws. Now all he can do is fall helplessly before the impact. Then, blackness.

SkyDust

Skydust stands in the middle of a forest. In the distance he hears a familiar voice. Despite running as fast as he could towards the source, it only seems to be getting softer. Suddenly, he hears a large cracking noise behind him. Turning around with fear in his eyes, he sees the forest being lit on fire. Trees are falling and dust fills the air. Then dark clouds fill the sky and it begins raining, but the fire still is not put out. The male medicine wolf runs as fast as he can, but the smoke is thick and he can barely see. Seeing an opening out of the forest straight ahead, he races for it. Hearing a cracking behind him, he doesn't bother looking back. As he runs it seems the hole isn't getting any closer, just like with a voice. Spinning around, he sees a large oak falling on top of him and then blackness, but the smoke still fills his lungs.

Skydust woke startled, the feeling of fear and crushing weight fading into the darkness, as was the smell of smoke. it took his still shaking body a few moments to remember where he was, and what he was doing. The fear had frozen his body, and now he just lay there like a rabbit on a log.

It came back slowly as he remember Stonestars and his reason for being here. But this trip was supposed to be for the new leader, the medicine wolves had yet to meet, to come here for their time with Starclan, why had they sent him this dream then. Standing the male decided it was best to wake Stonestar and head back to camp. He would discuss what he had dreamt here with the other medicine wolves when they met. He only hoped it would not be too late.

he moved over to the still still frame of his new leader and lightly bumped his should to awaken him.

Skydust had to run to keep up with the Windclans newest leader but he didn't protest, he new something was wrong, between his dream and what ever Stonestar had seen it was bound to be bad. By the time they made it back to camp Skydust was nearly out of breath. He saw the new leader turn his head back to him and say that they were back, but he did not seem too thrilled by the idea.

Sky dust laid his tail on the lead and nodded his head in a form of encouragement, and waited for the male to enter before him.

Rainwhisper panted as she reached the entrance. She lyed down outside to wait for night to fall. Her stomach growled but she knew the rules. Although she also knew she needed a medicine wolf with her she needed to know. She waited and waited.

Rainwhisper stood up. "I came to the Moonstone, oh by the way I am Rainwhisper." She smiled politley to the older warrior. she was a bit nervous and she shuffle her paws because of it. She didn't know what to do so she asked the warrior something. "Why are you here?" Her voice was smooth and pleasing. She sat down and smiled.

Rainwhispers eyes widened, "Really? Leader of Riverclan? Well." She paused not knowing if she should tell, she gave in, she smiled ,"Well I too came to see if Starclan has chosen me for the leadeer of Thunderclan." She smiled and stood up seeing the begin to set. She sat and looked around.

Rainwhipser stood up and nodded, "Well I don't think Windclan is mouse-brained enough to not choose a leader. Besdies Starclan wouldn't leave them leaderless. If Starclan sent me dream, then they must have sent Windclan a dream too." The black female smiled, "Well if you are the next leader of Riverclan, I greet you." She bowed her head slightly and chuckled.

Russetstar made his way to the Highstones, and waited for Skydust to appear. He could see two other wolves next to Mothermouth, and guessed they too had received the summons.

"I seem to have arrived on cue," he said, nodding his head to the two wolves, who he presumed were also chosen by StarClan.

Rainwhisper looked up and bowed her head slightly in greeting, "It appears you have." She smiled and looked around, the sun begging to dip bellow the horizon.

Rainwhiper looked at the horizon and watched as the sun disappeared and left a pinkish glow in the sky. She smiled and sighed, it was almost time. She looked at the other two wolves and smiled, her tail wagging slightly.

Russetstar nodded. "And I presume this is the same for you."

Rainwhisper nodded slowly. She had begun to feel a bit dizzy with nerves ever since the light of the sun had been consumed by the horizon. She looked around anxiously.

A while later the fae's stomach growled, sighing she sat down and looked up at the sky. The moon was high above, "Should we go in now? It's almost time." She looked at the other two wolves, she stood up and prepared herself to go in even if they didn't.
