Nightowl said in his rumbling voice "it was at sunning rocks, these thunder like sounds cracked through the air, i saw some Two legs holding some sort of stick. then the next thing i knew i had a hole in my side" he glared at it uneasily and said "it hurts like being stung by a thousand bees" he sat down ignoring the slight squelching sound of his wound. he sent a hostile glare toward hawkpool and privatley thought that Falconwing would be a better deputy.

Shadowpaw finished her meal and moved her ears at the sound of Nightowl's voice saying how he got his wounds at Sunning rocks. She padded over to where they were talking, " so i think we should check Sunning rocks first since that is where Nightowl sustained his wound from," she said trying to come up with a plan. talking only to Nightowl " are you really okay?" she asked a little worried.

Emberpaw padded into camp, catching the tail end of Firestar's words. She slipped over to where Shadowpaw and Copperpaw were, her tail waving lazily. "Sure, sounds okay to me. I'll go ahead and scope it out." She turned, heading back out of camp.

Falconwing blinked his bright amber eyes open, and lied there in his nest. Laziness in his very marrow. A large yawn, exposing a bright pink tongue and shining white fangs echoed through the warriors den as he slowly coaxed himself to stand and stretch. First his back legs and then his front legs. Ending with a wag of tail as he stick his rump high in the air. Falcon's eyes gleamed as he padded out of the den, his senses and mind clear and ready. Earlier he had overreacted due to his never ending tiredness which had been conquered with a wink or two. Falconwing smiled and padded over to the rest, noticing the sudden shallowness of the fresh kill pile. "hmmm..."

Seeing Nightowl send a glare at her. She just blinked. Not flinching away from his gaze. She didn't want to challenge him. She just wanted to now straight things out. He temper usually got the best of her. Hawk sighed and shook her head. She flick,Ed her tail and watched the round. She pawed it curiously. Drawing slowly on the sand.

Moonpaw glanced at Nightowl,then at Emberpaw as she left. She sighed,then turned to Firestar. "Umm,Firestar,when do you think my warrior ceremony will be?" Moon flicked deer tail,ignoring the battle of glared between Nightowl and Hawkpool.

"Firestar when do we become apprentices?" STormpup wanted to become an apprentice. She looked up at her sister. She had excitment in her eyes.

Falconwing watched the pups, amused to say the least. Pups always wanted to be warriors, and warriors he was sure wished to be a mere pup again. No worries, no problems. Nothing but playing all day, with nothing to disturb them. Falconwing smiled and flicked his ears towards the exiting apprentices and his smile faded to a look of knowing and approval but no smile. He sighed and sat down, waiting.

Moonpaw turned to see a pup interrupt her. She snorted and laid down. He head on the ground,she watched the older wolves above. Se sighed. The sand and dust catching in her gray pelt.

Echopup stood by Stormpup and asked;
"Yes, when will our ceremony be? I want to be a warrior already!"
She grinned at the thought of hunting, fighting battles, and so much more. She couldn't wait to be an apprentice.

Nodding her thanks to Nightowl, Firestar's ears twitched at the news as she looked at Hawkpool. "Thunder-sticks. I hate them but I have a plan about that. I'll explain when the other apprentices get back." The firey wolf got to her feet and smiled at Moonpaw and the two pups. "I promise that you will get your ceremonies done when the other apprentices", she nodded at Copperpaw and Shadowpaw. The leader walked over to where Falconwing was sitting. "Falconwing, could you please look for Rainwhisper and Feathersoul and bring them back to camp. I haven't seen them in a while and with two-legs with thundersticks in the territory, it might not be safe at the moment." Firestar padded back to sit between Moonpaw and Stormpup. "Moonpaw, could you go out and do some hunting perhaps? The fresh-kill pile needs re-stocking, I think. But be careful, watch out for two-legs."

she didnt wait for Nightowl's reply. after a few moments Shadowpaw left for Sunning rocks. wondering what she would fine there. i really hope that the twolegs are gone, she thought as she made her way for the warm sunning rocks.

Sunning rocks

Moonpaw raise her head at the sound of hunting. She nodded at her leader. "Yes Firestar. But are you sure you want me to go alone." Moon flicked her tail. Not afraid,but just wanting company for hunting.

Hawkpool glanced at Firestar. "What kind of idea?" Hawk interrupted. But stopped when she heard Moonpaw talk. She shook her head and flicked her tail. She stood up shook hr pelt.

Spitting otu the last of his thorns h"e stood and stretched saying in his deeper voice "ill go and scope out the border of the old river and thunder. sunning rocks is near there so its a good place to check for two legs". he turned and vanished out of thecamp entrance before anyone could stop him

She came into camp panting and went to the center of camp and placed the body down. she padded over to Firestar. " Firestar i found this apprentice at Snakerocks. i checked his pulse and there was none. he died by a snake bite and the snake was laying dead between the paws and a Mockingbird next to him," Shadowpaw informed her leader.

Copperpaw charged into camp and nearly barrled into firestar ignoring the pup and other apprentices he said "two leg scents all along the border, going onto stormclan land Emberpaw found by scenting on the stepping stones, paw prints of two legs also. i believe that stormclan is being pestered by these two legs also. it would explain for the lack of prey! Firestar i would advice a truce with Stormclan perhaps an alliance"

Emberpaw padded into camp, her eyes still laughing from her time with Copperpaw at the border. Excited about her discovery, she dashed into camp. "Firestar! Firestar...." She stopped, slowing down at the body in the center of camp. At the sight of the whitish-brown fur, she felt a spike of fear slice into her. "Runningpaw?" she whispered as she approached the body, stopping. "No no no no no..." she breathed, burying her mussel in his fur. "No...no....no...." She felt her heart twist with grief, her eyes flooded with tears. She withdrew her mussel, her eyes blazing with raw fury. "Who...did this..." She was dangerously quiet, and, seeing the dried blood on her love's chest, peeled back his fur to reveal bite marks. Adder, she realized, sniffing his fur. She whipper her head around, spotting a strange figure in the bushes. Nearing it, she realized that it was a dead snake, and it had a gash in its throat. She felt pleased that it was dead, and, sniffing it, realized that it was the one that killed Runningpaw. Rage pulsing under her fur, she planted her paw on its body, grasping one fang and yanking it out of the snake's mouth, and then the other one. She bent her head down, grasping them in her paws and stabbing them both through her right ear. She hardly felt the numbing sensation that stung her ear as they pierced the skin, but she stood up again, her eyes wet and the fangs stuck in her ears. For you.....

Nightowl watched the others then said calmly to firestar "ill find Rainwhisper and Feathersoul" he turned and ambled out of camp. his black tail swishing from side to side. his black paws splayed naturally as he walked along. his golden eyes glittering with watchfullness for two legs.

Shadowpaw's heart broke for Emberpaw as she ran to the body of the apprentice. she heard Emberpaw shout the name Runningpaw. she must have loved him she thought but was a little surprised as Emberpaw ripped the fangs out of the dead snake and stuck them in her ears. she said loud enough for Emberpaw to hear: "i found prey next to him, he died feeding his clan, Starclan will honor him."

Emberpaw nodded at Shadowpaw's words. She sniffled a bit, her ear starting to bleed. "Yea, that sounds like Runningpaw. Always helping till the end." Her voice cracked, burrying her face in his fur once again.

Hawkpool turned to see Shadowpaw bring a dead body to camp. She muttered curses to Starclan under her breath. She saw Emberpaw bury her muzzle on her fur. She sighed and turned away from the body. She didn't look. She just stared lifeless.u at the ground.

Moonpaw jumped when she smelt blood. She saw Shadowpaw bring a body in camp. She pinned the ears to her head. "Who is he. And why is he dead?"

Falconwing watched Nightowl go instead and walked over to Firestar before looking back at everyone. He sighed softly and smiled, before he paused and looked at yet another body in the middle of camp. He cringed and winced, as if he had been hit extremely hard. The memory of Icefrost was too fresh in his mind. the male flattened his ears and sat down in the shade.

Hawkpool winced and lashed her tail. She sank her claws deep into the moist soil. A tear shimmered,then dropped to the ground. "Darn Starclan." She snorted. "I'll never trust you again." Hawkpool lashed her tail.

"Not Runningpaw! Sissy keep me safe don't let me die like Runningpaw did!" He started to cry. Runningpaw had been his friend.

Hawkpool didn't turn to Falconwing. Her claws sank deeper into the ground. She growled."Yet,Starclan knows it will happen." Hawk lashed her tail and stalked away. Her tail trailing behind her.

Moonpaw turned to Falconwing. She blinked her blue eye sadly. "Who was he Falcon? And what happened?"
