Shadowlight finished her meal and walked over to Firestar and the pup. " hi Firestar, looking at the pup, and what is your name." she asked. " you must be one of Echo's pups. she looked between the pup and Firestar and thought that they look similar.

"I told you that she was!" He looked at Shadowlight."I am Brewingpup! Echo and storm's pup!" He looked at the large wolves.

Hearing the fiery pup's words, Firestar felt sad that the pups would never for some time, know their real mother. "But you'll have other wolves who love and like you here", she said softly. "Here, let me help." The young leader picked up the stick and put it with the other sticks. "One day, you all will be stronger."

Shadowlight smiled at Firepup and Brewingpup. "its nice to meet you too, my name is Shadowlight." she watched on as Firestar helped Firepup carry the stick over to the pups makeshift den. " Firestar, i think that it would be best to warn the other clans of the dogs, and what about the two legs with the thundersticks?" she asked politely.

Snowdapple sighed. She glanced at the dead queen's body from afar. Shaking her head deciding not to get involved, she padded up to Shadowlight.
"Hey! I think thats a pretty good idea." The white she-wolf said with a smile.
"But werent the Stormclanners doing that?" Snowdapple then asked her smile never fading.

Feathersoul watched the pup's attempt to build a den. She nodded a goodbye to Leafpup as she scampered. off Little trouble makers... the Medicine Wolf thought, tearing her gaze from her daughter and back to Echobreeze's body. She laid Rosemary over her pelt, intertwining it with her fur like little braids. Then, with great effort and care, she binded the Mallow Flowers together, making a small circlet and resting it upon the mother's head, like a crown. After the struggle of creating the circlet, she then began to take the Mint Leaves and Lavender, alternating them as she placed them down in a circle around the wolf. Finally, after her great effort, she sat down, smiling faintly at her work. She was very ceremonial about funerals and preparing the bodies. She rolled over on her back, staring at the clouds as they slowly drifted by.

Nightowl woke up with a grunt and walked over to the fresh kill pile. selecting a rabbit he looked over at feathersoul and felt a rush of guilt. he picked up a second rabbit and walked over to her, dropping one on her belly he said through his meal "im sorry, for everything"

Crystalpup began adding leaves to the structure of the fort, frowning as they fell off she began rubbing her white paws in a muddy patch making a sticky paste. smearing it over the back of the leaves she began carefully sticking them onto the fort. the muddy paste acted like glue to hold them on. rapidly drying it held the leaves to the sticks like concrete.

Feathersoul narrowed her eyes at Nightowl's approach, expecting bitterness and hate, but she was slightly taken aback at his tone. She flipped over, pursing her lips. "Don't be. It was worth it, seeing the little ones." She lowered her voice. "And besides, no one suspects anything. They always have and always will be Rainwhisper's pups." She sighed, glancing over at the pups, clumping together a group of twigs, sticks and branches for a little fort. Her eyes focussed on Leafpup, her only daughter. "And I think I've just found an apprentice."

He nodded saying "well at least something good came out of it" his voice was warm before he said softly "is there anything you can do about crystalpup? shes the smallest of the litter and cant speak. is it a punishment from starclan?" his voice trembled. he loved all of his pups both rains and feathers. his heart ached with worry for the pup it was a hard life for wolves who couldnt speak.

Feathersoul's ears perked. "That...no...she should be able too....You and Rainwhisper were both healthy..." She stood, shuffling over to where the pups were assembling their little fort. Her eyes focussed on Crystalpup, and she becconed her with her tail. "Crystalpup, can I talk to you please?"

hearing her name Crystalpup placed the last leaf on the fort before trotting over to Feathersoul. She tilted her head inquiringly her eyes already had lost the dark blue of puphood and were now a peircingly ice blue. she blinked her mysterious eyes and wagged her white tail. the last vergistes of snow around her looked dirty compared to her pure white coat.

Feathersoul sat down. "Okay, Crystalpup. Can you try and cough for me?" She flicked her tail in slight nervousness. What if she really is dumb? What will she do?

She blinked her eyes, they were bright with intelligence and curiosity like any other pups. she flicked her ears back and tried to cough. well she coughed but silently. her chest wheezing a little. she looked up tilting her head as if to ask how well she did.

Feathersoul grunted, but nodded anyways. "Okay..." She placed her paw on Crystalpup's throat. "Okay, now, try to growl at me."

Her ears pinned back and she looked pretty hostile as she growled, no sound came out but you could feel the air rushing up her throat. her ears came forward again as she blinked her eyes. she moved away from the paw on her throat as it hurt a little then sat down.

Feathersoul's ears perked slightly. "Air...." She paused, focussing. "Okay, now, let's try something. I want you to breathe out loudly, like a sigh. Can you do that?"

She breathed out loudly, you could hear her breath. but there was no sound behind it. it was just air. she tilted her head becomming bored with this. she looked back at firepup and trotted over to her she sat down and lightly pawed her shoulder.

Feathersoul nodded. "Okay. I can work with that...I guess..." She paused, wracking her brain for any sort of solution. "Streach out your lips, like this." She spread them out, shaping them like an open-mouthed smile. "Then, slowly bring them together until they form a small "O"." She made her lips round, just incase Crystalpup needed a demonstration. "Now, do that while sighing." Please let the air get deeper....please... she thought, sending a prayer to StarClan that she could at least to that.

The fiery wolf looked at Shadowlight and nodded. "The thundersticks have hopefully been dealt with, thanks to Rocky, Windstorm, myself and the rest of the Clan. About those awful dogs, would you like to run to the WindClan camp for me and warn them about it? SunClan's a bit upset with us at the moment and Whitestone would have probably told StormClan about it." Firestar heard Snowdapple. "Yes and we can tell WindClan too." She turned and looked at the pup den. "Well, well this is impressive." She surveyed the new den and then turned to look at the pups. "Well done for doing it," she said and smiled at Firepup. Firestar then looked at Feathersoul, a curious look on her face.

Brewingpup wanted to impress Firestar. He ran over to the den and jumped it and then sat down next to Firepup. He could jump really high. While with the dogs he had seen two-legs jump little hurtle things.

Feathersoul's lips were still pursed in an "O" as Firestar gave her a quizzical look. She chuckled. "Don't worry. I'm not that crazy." She gaze a light-hearted laugh. I must look like a crazy old elder.
