Greenleaf, prey is once more plentiful. The forests and Moors are filled with tasty nibbles of prey while the river is almost choked with fish. |

| Welcome Guest to Silktuft training Swiftpaw. Feel free to have your character walk in!-------Hunting Large Animals : 0/00/0(0/0)Hunting Medium-Sized Animals : 0/00/0(0/0)Hunting Small Animals : 0/00/0(0/0)Fishing : 0/00/0(0/0)Finding Prey : 0/00/0(0/0)Finding Herbs : 0/00/0(0/0)Scouting for Predators : 0/00/0(0/0)Offensive Fighting : 0/00/0(0/0)Defensive Fighting : 0/00/0(0/0)Problem Solving : 0/00/0(0/0)-------------------------------------- The frosty dame carefully looked from side to side as she sat on her haunches. Her new apprentice should be coming soon. Training Swiftpaw would be difficult, due to the fact that she was blind in both eyes. As she waited, she pondered on how she could explain simple things for an non-blind wolf. She did have a couple of ideas, for fishing, hunting small animals, and for fighting. But, it was an apprentices choice on what they wanted to learn, as they were becoming the new warriors. Softly, her gaze saddened when she remember her mentor. Her mentor had died the day before she was named a young warrior. It made her sad, but hopefully Silverstone was looking down on her from Starclan and would help her teach the things that she learned. Silktuft yawned, as listened for her apprentice to come. | |

| Swiftpaw came in the area, with her nose to the ground, tracing Silktuft's scent. She lifted her head as the scent got stronger. "Am I late?" She asked, approaching her mentor, careful not to trip on anything. "What are we going to do, Silktuft?" She asked, sitting down, her tail flicking with curiosity and hope. Swiftpaw was glad she was no longer training with her former mentor, Onefang, who greatly abused her. She spilled the news earlier, that Onefang had blinded her. Swiftpaw was glad she had Silktuft as a new mentor. She was looking forward to training, although Swiftpaw knew it would be harder to train, with the fact she was now blind. | |

| Silktuft listened to hear a ruffling in the area. Her head up in alert, she wanted to make sure it wasn't a badger or another predator. But she saw Swiftpaw emerge, which then she released her body from being tense. The female looked to her new apprentice to see her nose slightly wrinkled, with meant she was using her nose to scent where the warrior was located. What a clever apprentice, thought the white wolf as she looked into the pup's blind orbits. "No worries, Swiftpaw; you're not late." She paused momentarily to collect her thoughts, before speaking to the whelp. "What was you and Onefang working on last, if you remember? Maybe we can work from there, but otherwise, we'll work on your fighting skills." The female twitched her ear at a bird landing in a tree near by. She was glad that she was born into Riverclan. They were one of the largest clans in the whole forest, due to Riverclan and Shadowclan joining together. Plus, they had plenty of rich fish to eat on. Blinking her rich blue eyes, she curled her tail over her paws. | |

| "We were working on hunting small animals. He barely taught me anything about that, though." Swiftpaw answered. Although, on most occasions, she couldn't judge where the animal was, so she attacked too far to a side. But now that she relied on smelling, feeling, and hearing, she thought she may be slightly better... unless she trips, of course. | |

| Her mouth was slightly open as she nodded to herself as the youngster replied. "Small animals." She murmured silently to herself. "Since you have lost your eye sight, rely on your other senses. When you lose a sense, your others tend to be stronger. Don't try to focus on the fact that you have no sight, but have knowledge that you can easily hunt without seeing." Looking to a small tree, she saw a leaf fall; she guessed it wasn't grasped on there too good. Taking the leaf in her mouth, she dropped it on the ground. "Here is a practice. Use hearing and vibrations to hunt the leaf, which would be a mouse in this case. Remember to stay low." The female gently pushed the leaf across the ground, causing a slight sound to erupt. Softly, her gaze looked to Swiftpaw, to see if she was to fall or so that she can give feedback. Maybe this won't be as hard as I thought. Swiftpaw is smart, and will catch on fast. | |

| Swiftpaw nodded when her new mentor talked about relying on other senses. When she told Swiftpaw to practice on the leaf, Swiftpaw instantly crouched down, focusing her weight to her haunches, gathering it for the spring as her former mentor taught her. She tilted her ears, catching the soft sound. She followed the sound, until she knew she was close enough. Swiftpaw sprang, but landed not on, but right next to the leaf. "Mouse dung!" She woofed, not feeling the leaf under her paws. Eh, probably better than landing several mouse-lengths away. Swiftpaw told herself. | |

| Swiftpaw seemed to get the concept of using her other senses and stop worrying about her vision alone. As the graceful apprentice leap in the air, the crisp blue eyes of Silktuft watched as she landed right next to the leaf, almost having it grasped in her paws. "Nice try, Swiftpaw," she complemented, a smile creased her face. "I think you was only a tad bit early. Maybe if you feel the vibrations again, you can feel it when it gets in front of your paws. Want to try again or do you want to learn something else? You pick." This fox-like apprentice had faith in her, the frosty dame just knew it. She was strong and fast, she would make a wonderful warrior even without vision. Silktuft had faith and trust in her. Maybe hunting wasn't one of her strong points, but perhaps something else would fit her personality and behavior more soothingly. | |

| Swiftpaw stood back up with frustration. When her mentor asked her about something, the blind apprentice paused in wonder. "I don't go down that easily. I'll try again with the leaf." Although Swiftpaw was blinded, she still wouldn't quit that easily. She wanted to get this leaf thing! Swiftpaw wanted to prove that she wasn't worthless, like her former mentor always rubbed in her face. "You worthless scrap of fur! You'll never become a warrior!" Swiftpaw shivered, remembering the times she called her "Days in the Dark". But now, with Silktuft, Swiftpaw felt much more relaxed, yet, determined to prove herself.
