| Thunder slowly padded towards where Shadestar had told they'd be training.Did I make a mistake? He isn't here... did I go the wrong way?Walking through the bushes he frantically looked for his mentor. | |

| Shadestar emerged from the brush, making his way towards his new apprentice. This one would surely be his last, now that his body was begin to tire itself out. He did not look forward to becoming an elder, he liked taking care of himself thank you very much. Nevertheless he would have to make this one count. "It's important not to get lost, particularly when you're on your way to your first training session," he said to the smaller wolf, a gruffness in your voice. "Nonetheless, we should get started. What do you wish to work on first?" | |

| Thunderpaw jumped a bit when Shadestar had arrived. Shadestar asked him what he would like to do first."F-fighting?" he stammered slightly bunching his muscles I case his mentor attacked. His past made him trust no-one; well, no-one if you didn't count Silkpaw, that is. | |

| The large male nodded, walking further away from his apprentice and lowering himself to a defensive position. Watching the smaller wolf with golden eyes, his tail flicked back and forth and a light breeze ruffled his fur. Thunderpaw appeared slightly nervous about everything, so this next order might not really help things. "Show me what you've got, then." | |

| Forcing the whimper he felt coming down his throat he leaped at the side of Shadestar, attempting to softly rake his claws down his mentor's side. As he landed he tumbled and hit the ground with an oof. Standing and shaking off the dirt on his pelt he smiled, wondering what Shadestar would do. | |

| The apprentice came at him directly from the front before leaping at his side. Shadestar avoided the attack, stepping to the side. "A fair first attack," the leader said, looking at his apprentice. "But your eyes showed where you were aiming. Try to hide your intentions." Pausing for a moment, Shadestar adjusted himself yet again. "Try again." | |

| [Wow, shadestar seems a little bit less grumpy when training eh?]
Nodding at Shadestar Thunderpaw looked at the same side that he jumped at before he leaped onto the other side of his mentor. That time he raked up less dust than before and he didn't land with an oof."Better?" he asked his mentor, suddenly feeling a burst of confidence rise underneath him. Even if the clan never accepted him he had a feeling a few of them would.

| (Haha he's got his eyes getting his apprentice trained & getting the job done. Unless you want him to be grumpy?)
Shadestar crouched lower as he saw Thunderpaw preparing himself. He watched the younger wolf's eyes, and they were planted on his side. Adjusting himself to defend from an attack, biting back annoyed remarks due to the fact that his apprentice did not listen, he was taken aback slightly when his apprentice moved to his other side, pushing against him and causing the StormClan leader to stumble slightly. Shadestar nodded in approval as he regained his own balance. "Surprising your enemies is one of the most important skills to learn," the male commented. "The other are the actual moves you should know. I'll show you one if you run at me." He smirked, wondering if the apprentice would take his challenge.

| [If you made him be grumpy i wonder what would happen xD]
Half nodding to himself Thunderpaw shook out his pelt and padded 6 tail-lengths away from Shadestar. He would try ramming into his mentor's side or if he couldn't do that he would try going towards his chest, if that even sounded right. Starting at a mere trot and then he started running at his mentor. Smiling.

| Shadestar crouched, watching his apprentice intently as he began walking towards him, following the order he had been given. Right before Thunderpaw would have reached him, Shadestar turned around and put all of his weight on his front paws, allowing his pack to shoot outward towards his "attacker" lightly. It was a surprise move, sure. Every wolf needed to learn how to deal with unexpected maneuvers or even general attacks. | |

| Thunderpaw was surprised my his mentors move. Shaking out his fluffy ginger fur he arched his back, ready for an attack. He wanted Shadestar to go first; he knew if Shade attacked he might be able to defend himself depending on the attack. Flicking his tail back and forth in a sign of amusement he waited. | |

| The leader turned back around and saw that Thunderpaw had not been close enough to experience the full strength of his maneuver. He crouched now, lower than before, and this time crawling forwards instead of staying in place. This fight would be gentle, sure, but it would teach much more than words. The male was slightly annoyed at the apprentice's carefree expression when this was important, this work would prove whether or not Thunderpaw could be a full warrior of StormClan and manage it. Sending a paw shooting forwards towards his apprentice's head, Shadestar began his attack. | |
