"The Dream"

It seemed like only moments, but it could have been hours since he had passed out. Waking up, Shadestar's head felt sore, perhaps where he hit it? He felt groggy as well. Wondering what even happened, he stood up shakily, putting one foot on the rock one by one and standing up. What met his eyes scared him to his core.

The wolves were all collapsed as if they were dead. Every single wolf. What could have even caused this? But that wasn't what alarmed him the most. All the trees, all the foliage, everything.... Was burnt to ash. Gone, like that. He couldn't have been out that long could he? Stepping down from the rock, he trotted to the edge of the clearing. Something didn't feel right here, as though it was a dream, though it felt real enough certainly. It was just something didn't fit right in his mind. Perhaps he was just attempting to cope with what happened. All of his home, everyones home, gone in the course of a second. What the heck was going on? Confused, he ran back to the rock and stood there, his golden gaze protectively watching the rest of the collapsed wolves, especially the ShadowClan ones. They would have to come together, whether they wanted to or not.

The female acknowledged the small pup following her. It would be a daunting task getting others to follow had they not heard her. Thin grew her patience - there was no time to waste.

Coathonor saw an oblivious apprentice from another group and her brow furrowed in annoyance.
"Friend, did you hear at all what I just suggested?" she called. She must have failed to reach that particular group.

Jaystreak sat down and curled her tail around her body. Her scarred eye looked at all of the clans. She hoped for one day, all clans may be one.

"Since you see so eager to help all the sudden," the female scoffed at the wolf from earlier, (JaySteak) "why don't you make yourself useful and start rounding up people? Start with the pups and such from the other groups. They are small and they are very easy to lose track of." A lash of her tail signified her urgency.

Apache simply gazed up at the Riverclan warrior, his mind still hazy from the shock and what ever had made him sleep. But he managed to get to his feet and stumble over to her, his sense of balance greatly impeded by the dizziness that stubbornly clung to his brain.

"Careful there, stranger," she called, noting his issue of balance. Did the others suffer alike symptoms? Only time and their awakening would tell, but she knew it was better to risk staying there and something else occur.

After just awakening, the leader looked around and the entire forest was gone. All was left was the small ashes that the figures have done to the forest. "What the..." She mumbled, trying to make sense of everything while she kept staring in horror. Now snapping back to her own senses, Lilystar trotted over to where everyone was crowded. "What happened here?!" She practically demanded everyone who dared to reply.

Silverpup walked over to the dizzy male. She asked him "Are you ok?" In a conserned soft voice. Silver stood by his side and supported some of his weight until he found his legs.

The wolf rose to answer the leader's call.
"A fire, apparently. All unharmed, though some hve suffered some side effects in terms of balance. I suggested earlier that we go to a place near water, for the fire should have not reached there or at least gotten close, as terrain near water isn't as dry as other places."

The leader overheard the simple response of Coathonor. So far, he was making a pretty good impression upon herself. "But many cannot swim." The leader reminded him. "And many are only as small as pups." Lilystar added as well, using her muzzle to point over to where Silverpup was.

She responded, miffed slightly at the leader's misunderstanding. "I never said we'd actually go in the water, did I?" A smile parted from her lips. "Near, my friend. But not actually in the water. The ground near the water will be wet, which then means the fire probably wouldn't have made its mark on terrain like that."

Apache gratefully leaned on the friendly Riverclan pup, looking up at the other who had been giving commands he said. "I'm okay, just, just a little dizzy." His ears flicked at the sound of Lilystar's voice, and a smile curled his lips. At least he knew she was okay, even though he did not know her he still did not want to see the other clan lose such a nice leader as her. If one could put up with his flirting and still smile and talk to him in a friendly manner, then they were one heck of a leader in his book.

He thanked Starclan for keeping his leader and mentor safe, and asked them to awaken the others. He did not ask them why they had let the forest burn down, he simply focused on the positiveness moments. He would need to find many by the time this was through.

Silverpup looked up at the wolf smelling his pelt that reeked with swamp and carcasses she just shook it of and slightly grinned. Her nose was dry and she needed water soon. All this heat was making her hot.

The leader's smile parted when Coathonor had proved her wrong. "Very well." She said at last, admitting that she had made a mistake. "Where is the closest water supply?" She had asked to no one in particular.

Skypup looked around to see the other wolves slowly, one-by-one, woke up. Her nose stung, her eyes were watery, and there was a ranging in her ears. The feeling wasn't the best in the world and make her nauseous but at least she wasn't dead. With great effort, Sky rose to her paws, stumbling slightly, and made her way over to where the woken wolves were gathering. She spotted Apachepaw and a RiverClan wolf leaning on each other. At least I know Im not the only one affected by this she thought as she steered her walking over to her friend. One her way over, Skypup began swaying to the left, but she eventually made it to the older wolves and next to Apache. She slightly leaned on him. "What's going on?" she whispered, her voice slightly hoarse.

"If we follow the stream that surrounds fourtrees we'll hit the River." Apache said, answering Lilystar's question. His head still remained hazy, his balance none existant as he continued to try and walk. The pup's kind gesture helped the male to reach Coathonor. When Skypup reached him Apache nearly fell over as she leaned on him, he was not sure whether the pup could take so much weight and so he tried to keep as much of it off of her as his weakened state could allow. "I don't know." Apache said when Skypup spoke," Something destroyed the forest, the adlts are saying fire, but I do not believe it."

"Are we not apart of this thing called 'RiverClan'?" the female inquired, shuffling slightly in amusement. "There should certainly be water by us, correct? I don't know the territory very well yet, but it would make sense."

Apachepaw answered the leader's question then more in-depth and she gratefully dipped her head.

Hearing the same voice from earlier, Lilystar knew it was Apachepaw. "Then let's go before we get eaten by the fire!" She shouted, trying to take initiative for everyone else. Leading the way, the Riverclan leader began to follow the stream downhill as she tried to avoid any on going fires.

Skypup nodded but quickly regretted it, it only made everything spin and go out of focus. She stumbled away from Apachepaw before her legs gave out and she collapsed one more to the ground, only this time she remained awake. Sky closed her eyes tightly trying to make the nauseating feeling go away. But it felt as though it were chocking her still.

Silver nodded and watched as his steps began to regain balance. She watched as another Shadow clan wolf wobbled towards them. She looked at the wolf (coathonor) and decided to go stand next to her. Silver was ready to feel the damp shore of the river on her paws. But then the other shadoeclan wolf collapsed so she trotted to her side and lightly nudged her. I attempted to haul her up but I was to small.

We're actually getting somewhere. the wolf thought, entertained at the thought of action rather than inaction. It may just all fall apart in the end, though. She frowned as she came to this silent realization, but nevertheless her fair figure took to the parade of wolves. The wolf acknowledged a pup next to her and threw a warm smile, making sure she would not fall behind.

Looking back behind her, the leader noticed a pup from Shadowclan lagging behind. Rolling her eyes, Lilystar quickly ran up towards the pup (Skypup) And carried her by the scruff. Now running again downstream, the leader herself wished that everyone who had not woken up yet would just follow their scents to safety.

Sky glanced over at the RiverClan pup as she nudged her. She didn't say anything or move her head, she didn't want that horrible feeling to come back again. Sky could feel it lingering just above her, waiting to drop down again. She then felt her scruff being pulled as she was picked up but someone. That someone smelt of fish....a slightly familiar scent. Lilystar she thought, the wolf she had met before the Gathering had started. Sky didn't protest or make a sound as the Clan leader carried her to wherever they were going.

All Apachepaw could do was follow the others, his dizziness still had not left him, but he fought and struggled to remain on his feet. he stumbled several times but got right back up, and surprisingly managed to stay with the group.

Silverpup quickly ran next to the female (coathonor) and grinned. She padded alongside the larger wolf in the lead. Her short legs were small but she was swift and they were getting longer. But she kept up the pace of the female.

"Might you need assistance?" the wolf offered, noticing yet again the younger animal's imbalance and struggle to stay afoot. She knew she must watch over the pup, too, so she didn't want to divide too much of her attention to too many beings.
