"The Dream"

It seemed like only moments, but it could have been hours since he had passed out. Waking up, Shadestar's head felt sore, perhaps where he hit it? He felt groggy as well. Wondering what even happened, he stood up shakily, putting one foot on the rock one by one and standing up. What met his eyes scared him to his core.

The wolves were all collapsed as if they were dead. Every single wolf. What could have even caused this? But that wasn't what alarmed him the most. All the trees, all the foliage, everything.... Was burnt to ash. Gone, like that. He couldn't have been out that long could he? Stepping down from the rock, he trotted to the edge of the clearing. Something didn't feel right here, as though it was a dream, though it felt real enough certainly. It was just something didn't fit right in his mind. Perhaps he was just attempting to cope with what happened. All of his home, everyones home, gone in the course of a second. What the heck was going on? Confused, he ran back to the rock and stood there, his golden gaze protectively watching the rest of the collapsed wolves, especially the ShadowClan ones. They would have to come together, whether they wanted to or not.

Magmapup reached the far shore and began to look for Lilystar. Surely she wasn't dead?!?

There was no way. Not a chance that Lilystar wasn't dead. Right?

Silktuft thought that as she raced down to where the alpha had headed. The sight wasn't bearable to Silky. The tears that she was holding back from earlier wasn't going to for long. The fem couldn't believe it. She didn't even get to say hello and introduse herself to the alphaess! Unlike most of the others. A couple tears came down her cheek as she could hear the river with her very sentieve ears.

Another wolf had went down before her and was looking for Lilystar. She propelled her legs forward and stepped on many sharp little rocks that was in the dirt. She had also gotten some on her sides when she had stumbled. Her paws and on the side of herself was bleeding a bit. Sliktuft went over to one of the pups from her pack (Magmapup) and looked him with her blue and brown eyes. "W-Where is she? Wh-What happened? It was...a blur to me." She tried to hide her tears that was going to come out by holding it back.

Silktuft looked at the rushing and rapid currents crash on the shoreline. She looked back upon the clift to see a wolf walking down, which she was from the ShadowClan. Mostly, Sliky didn't trust others from other clans. Her two eyes closed and opened and the ShadowClan member was asking what had happened. She growled to herself and sqiunted her eyes. The fem looked at the pup and spoke in the calmest and not sadistic voice she could, which was good, and said,"Lilystar has fallen."

The sand below her was red where her paws was and a little on the sides. She looked out into the ocean. Another RiverClan member quickly came, but Silk's cold, hard stare was out into the violent currents and waves.

Silktuft listened to the black pup talk about what had happened. She sighed and looked out at the waves still. Her ears listened carefully when they was layed back and heard the fem(Sliverpup) walking to search. She looked back, her white color in her eyes now a slight pink, she walked over to her.
'Could I help look...please?" Her tail swayed slowly and her fur ruffled in the slight breeze.

"Well, although Lilystar has fallen, that does not press the idea that she may be dead." Blackpup spoke out, lashing her tail. Blackpup was standing stabley, her eyes narrow with concern and irritation. Is the cause of the dreadful event not obvious enough for these wolfs? The pup thought.

Seeing the bobbing head of Lilystar, Magmapup called out to her to swim to shore and prayed to Starclan that she hadn't lost a life. He then stared at Shadestar, who was staring off into space for no apparent reason.

Jaystreak watched the leader as she floated in the water. She was very confused and just sat in silence.

Lightningpaw had decided to stay away from the ledge for a while. Soon she had caught another leader's voice, Lilystar, calling to Shadestar again. Lightningpaw glanced over at the Riverclan leader and caught a glimpse of the rock cracking. Instinct overcame her and she raced over to the leader, but it was too late. By the time she had gotten to where Lilystar was, the leader wolf was already tumbling down into the gorge. Lightningpaw took one daring step closer to peek over the edge and see the leader before leaping away and over to Apachepaw. "First Shadestar lept, now Lilystar falls?" She said, shaking her head. "There has to be something wrong going on here." She added, a dark gleam in her eye. She honestly didn't care about Lilystar but the thought of first her leader leaping into the gorge followed by lilystar falling in, it was too much. She poked Apachepaw with her muzzle. "We have to find out what's going on. I don't think it was just a coincidence that Lilystar just fell like that, I really don't." She said, staring over to where the gorge was, her eyes scanning the area.

Silverpup was trembling hoping Lilystar had survived through her tumble and dive into the gurgling water. But no her leader's body was cold wet and limp. She called name weakly her eyes once again blurred with tears. If only the gathering had went as planned looking down at her paws in sorrow. She wouldn't be able to bare saying good bye to her leader. Sure she barely knew her but it was as if she was her mother. Sitting staring at Lilystar Bob in the dangerous currents there was nothing she could do.

Hoping that Lilystar could swim out, Magmapup walked over to Shadestar and calmly told him that his clan needed him and that he should go back straightaway.

Squirrelpup winced. A second ago, there was one body in the currents. Now there was two. And all they had in common was that they were both leaders.

"What if..." He couldn't think of it. All the leaders drowning. Squirrelpup looked at the black pelt and sleek white fur."Black and white..." "Shadow and River..." He muttered.

Skydust watched in horror as two leaders hurled themselves to their dooms. What were they doing? What reason did they have for it, surly the wolves here could work through anything together, why had they just thrust themselves from there?

These questions swirled in his head, the biggest one being why had he not spoken earlier about his dream? Why had he thought he would talk to the other medicine wolves before speaking to the other wolves? He was beating himself up about this, yet still the horror made him paralyzed.

Shadestar shook his head towards the RiverClan leader and even smiled, gesturing to the canyon with his head. "Go back to the Clans." he mouthed

"You should go back now" said Magmapup to Shadestar "Even though it is your choice as to whether you do go back, your clan needs you and is waiting for you. Lilystar should be fine, at least, I hope she'll be."
