Windover Moor

Turning to Snowflower Heatherpaw thought for a brief moment. "Perhapse it would be wise to come back again later, but possibly with more wolves." Limping steadily over to the warrior she spoke again. "That way maybe we could go in search of a herd of Bison or something similar." Pausing with a twitch her tail she added simply, "We could not hunt one single handedly."

"True."she nodded. "Especially with you still being wounded. Not that you would be a burden."she corrected. "Well, should we head back now then?"she smiled at Heather kindly.

Heatherpaw nodded in agreement to the white warrior. "Yes, let's go." As the apprentice began to pad back to camp, she felt a pang of concern shake her. How will the Clan cope this leaf-bare? Slowing her pace to allow Snowflower to catch up, the brown and White female made her way to camp, wondering if her leader had yet returned from the gathering.

-WC camp-

"You don't have to slow down for me you know. I can keep pace just fine."she chuckled. Snowflower padded alongside Heather back to camp. She looked to Heather and wondered what she was thinking. "Oh well."she smiled. She padded off to the camp without another word.

(I'm sorry I haven't been on for so long.)

Nothing to do, Dawnpaw padded silently into Windover Moor. She lifted her head and sniffed the air. Rabbit, she thought instinctively as she scented the animal. Dawnpaw saw the animal behind a bush. She crouched down and beginned inching fowards toward the rabbit. Her hind paw accidently brushed against a rock and sent it rolling. The rabbit heard the sound and took off. Fox dung, Dawnpaw cursed and went back to camp.

-WC Camp-

Clover padded along through the grass that was taller than she was. she stared around with fasinated eyes as she watched the grass move. she loved exploring, it was so much fun! she turned and sniffed the air mmmm rabbit! the terrier thought. with her nose to the ground she began tracking a rabbit through the undergrowth till she came to its burrow. with a smirk on her face she leapt into the hole being s mall enough to fit and began barking and digging tryin to get to the rabbit within.

Luckyclover pads in slowly, sniffing the air for scents. Rabbit! She paused. Whats that scent? She sniffed the air again. Dog? She began looking around cautiously. She hears barking. "Who are you? Why are you in WindClan territory?" She smirked.

Clover backed out of the rabbit hole covered in dirt but with a tasty fat rabbit in her jaws. she stared up at the wolf without fear. she raised her lips a little showing her teeth, she wasnt about to give up her hard won kill!. however.... clover wasnt stupid. perhaps this pack of wolves could use a excellent rabbit hunter... she could fit into most rabbit holes and flush out the prey. she shrugged however. they wouldnt take her in she was a dog.

(Too lazy to switch)

Luckyclover smirked. "We don't enjoy dogs- or wolves- taking from our clan. But I wouldn't dare attack you, mutt. Because you are to small!" She flicked her ears. This female Gray Wolf would not let any trespassers- who are wolves- take prey from WindClan. "Hey mutt! This is a warning, if you come into this clan's territory again you will be attacked. The other clans however, especially SunClan, will let you take thier prey. So go to those misfits territory!"

Clover gave an insolent snort, her dark brown eyes glittering with hurt. she gave a snap and said "well if you had any real sence you would accept me for i can get into rabbit holes better than you could fartface!". Clover turned and leapt off over the moor, she rocketed into a rabbit hole and began eating it hungrily.

Hearing the commotion, she looked to the house dog. "I dare you to say that again."she smiled. "we wolves might not be able to go into rabbit holes, but we can just stick our paw in."she pointed out. "lucky, your at fault as well. clans are clans, no misfits."she said. "but seriously, I'm able to just pick you up and carry you back to camp. Even the pups are bigger than you are."she pointed that out as well to the dog.

Clover stuck out her head, her face was gaunt and thin, she bared her teeth and said "i dare you to try wolf, im not a house dog. im a street dog". her dark brown eyes fell on the other wolf "and im of better breeding than that other territorial creature". she stood up for herself stubbornly. she had no choice, it was in her nature. she had no friends no family, she had to take care of herself, though sometimes she did dream of starting her own pack she knew that not many would want to join. who would want to join a pack lead by a terrier? the dog backed further into the rabbit hole, they were gonna take her kill werent they?

Snowflower huffed. The femme stuck her paw into the hole and tossed the dog out. She picked the so called street dog by the scruff. "You guys stay here please."she said. Snowflower held the dog in her jaws, padding off back to camp.

-camp-

Duskfang stopped dead at the sight of the tiny terrier, a snarl already resuming its usual position and curling at his muzzle. Did this pathetic dog really think that it could resist a pack of wolves? Smirking slightly as Snowflower picked the bundle of fur up in her jaws and carried it back to camp, he wondered wether they should follow suit. The dog would be no trouble for the young female warrior, and surrounded by a camp full of warriors and apprentices, trying to escapee would almost impossible and foolish, however Spottedpaw still needed to collect her Goldenrod. Looking towards the SunClan warriors he voiced in his usual deep tone, feeling slightly awkward to be asking another Clan this question, "Would you prefer to stay here, on the moor? Or return to camp?"

Spottedpaw trotted across the open moor. The wind ruffled her fur as she searched for Goldenrod. She split off from Snowflower and the Sunclan warriors in pursuit of the herbs. She let out a satisfied grunt as she spotted a patch on tall yellow flowers. She quickly plucked a few pieces and headed back to where she saw Snowflower had gone.

Streakfire rolled in the grass. She looked at what she thought was a dog and Snowflower tking it to camp. She ignored it and continued. "I'm fine with staying here. The grass still seems to be growing even though it is leafbare."

"I'm back."said Snowflower. She smiled and looked to them. The femme looked to Streakfire, Stoatblaze, Duskfang and Spottedpaw. "What's up?"she smiled.

"Nothing really." She smiled. "Moonwhisper was about to have her pups before we left. I wonder how she is doing."

Duskfang gave Streakfire an odd glare as she began to roll around in the grass as if she was back in her own territory. He opened his mouth to speak however was distracted as Snowflower returned, this time without the dog. A very thin, unpracticed smile momentarily perched upon his muzzle before quickly disappearing again. He returned his attention to Streakfire as she spoke about Moonwhisper being about to give birth and cast his mind to SunClan territory for a moment. Had Direstar really just left his mate whilst she was having pups to visit another Clan? Although, however heartless he may seem, he could never wish illy on something like that. Nevertheless, his face portrayed no emotion as he continued to look at the SunClan female, wondering if she had anything else to add to the subject.

Streakfire nods. "Well, I think I'll go back to camp now. I will go see if Direstar is ready to go back." She pads towards WindClan camp.

Duskfang stared blankly after the SunClan wolves as they left, a slightly bemused expression flickering across his face. Everything had happened very hastily. Lowering himself to the ground he sat down in the snow, his usual grumpy expression beginning to form on his muzzle again. His pads were freezing against the frost-bitten ground and he had to rap his tail around them to keep what little warmth he had left in them inside. He hunched his broad shoulders so that it looked as if his head had almost sunken down into his body and let out a loud huff of cloudy breath.

"What's wrong Duskfang?"Snowflower gave a warm smile. She was always happy, unless a friend got hurt. She was thinking about Moonwhisper then cleared up her mind. "I wonder how they are."she thought to herself.

Duskfang glanced at Snowflower. "Nothing." He grumbled, hunching himself up further. "It's just cold." Shuffling his paws he stared at the ground, lost in his own thoughts. He did not want to go back to camp yet, however, he was sure that just sitting here would end up with some part of his body turning to ice. He let out another snort.

"Fluff up your fur then."she said. When the femme fluffed up her fur, she became a round ball of poof. "This is why I rarely fluff mine up."she flushed under her poofy fur. Flattening it down again, she looked to Duskfang a bit embarrassed, then giggled sweetly.

Duskfang looked towards Snowflower as she demonstrated, something new flashing across his gaze. Was it amusement? Pausing hesitantly the male began to fluff out his fur, feeling slightly more insulated and protected against the elements than before. He had no idea what he looked like, and frankly, he had not a care in the world. If it meant keeping warm, he would do it. "Thanks." He barked, still looking at Snowflower.
