Gorge

Ripplestone walked up and sat down, feeling the wind tug at her thick white pelt. she stared down at her black paws and allowed herself a sigh. staring up at the bright blue sky she lay dwn and rolled onto her back with her paws up in the air.

She walked into a cave. She had always loved one song. She called it her song. She was going to sing it one last time.

I dreamed a dream in times gone by When hope was high And life worth living I dreamed that love would never die

After singing her song she got out of the cave and ran back to camp

She walked up and took the rarely trodden path down into the gorge, immediatly she felt the intense heat beneath her paws and she gave a growl. the gorge was only included in their territory for it was between camp and the stunted forest. she knew that cougars often prowled down here.

Thunderpaw followed and stopped before going down the path. It was rarely used, so he looked at it carefully before going down, taking careful steps. He slipped a few times, his ears flattening nervously. Yet he said nothing to the slightly odd female as he followed.

The more than slightly odd, i would use the Term deranged but this is a third person view so let me get to the description part!
The Grizzly bear wolf flicked her tail as she walked along, she was lucky that she had not been named Bearpup however she kenw that direstar was thinking of changing her name to Bearclaw. She had no objections to this idea and continued along. scenting around for cougars.

Thunderpaw would pause every few steps and rest, sitting down only slightly before getting up seconds later and continuing to follow. His tough paws, had begun to ache but he wasn't one to complain, ever. His occasionally floppy ears were perked high, the strange quite as they walked eerie and slightly creepy. His nose twitched with a strange scent.

She stopped and growled her ears pinned back and her spiky fur became even more spiky. her growl sounded like a grizzly bear growl as she slowly stalked forward. out of a crack in the gorges side a large male cougar leapt out and at the wolf. she yelped as it smacked her int he side of her face with its claws unsheathed. she fell heavily to the ground and as it went for her throat she shoved her back legs into its own throat pushing it back a little

Thunderpaw looked up as a loud growl rang in his ears. He blinked in surprise finding it had been Keaflight who had muttered such a growl. From the undergrowth errupted a large cat-like figure, something he could only think of as a cougar jump upon his mentor. Thunderpaw stood shocked still, as he watched it attack Keaflight. The young wolf, shook his head and in his head, something clicked. Kae's form took another, a lighter softer look, with shining eyes. Fear made them shine as he truly imagined Kea as tigerpaw. The apprentices eyes narrowed, looking at the cougar. His hard training had built him up some and three legs added even more. He was a big wolf. He made not a sound as he charged at the cougar, pushing it off Keaflight. He landed on three legs as both of them rolled away from the female. He growled.

Keaflight leapt up and turned, she watched her apprentice battle the cougar. she leapt around lightly and growled like a bear in its ear. she then promptly sunk her teeth into one of its ears and began wrenching around. a determined look in her eyes. blood spurted from where her white teeth were implanted deep in the cougars ear. the mountain lion yowled in pain finding itsself being attacked on two sides.

Thunderpaw watched Keaflight, his mind whirring rapidly as she attacked the lion again. His deep growl mixed with the cougars sudden shriek made for a scary combination as he leapt at it again, slipping beneath the beast and scraping his claws against its tough underside. He slipped out behind and grabbed onto its tail pulling it to it down.

She moved and sunk her fangs into the cougars throat, its life blood pulsated out over her face. she clenched her eyes shut so the blood could not permeate into her eyes. she ignored the cougars buffeting blows at her shoulders. she clenched her jaws tighter feeling rage well up in her.

Thunderpaw backed up a bit watching Keaflight bite the cougars throat. Now he became confused, he wasn't a malicious attacker, but he knew he couldn't have his mentor too hurt in this attack. His sides heaving, the male took one step back, and leapt onto the cougars back, digging his claws into its sides. Now the creature had to deal with him biting down onto the back of its neck as well as the female biting below.

Direstar walked up death in his eyes, he watched Keaflight and Thunderpaw fight the cougar. he ran leaping toward the other side heading for the stunted forest. his head crunched into the other side of the cliff and he plummeted down. he crunched into the earth and with a pained howl was caled to starclan. the first leader of sunclan... was dead

She ran to the gorge. SHe waited for Ripple to get there. She hid behind a rock. She was going to watch and she what happened.

Trotting up the scent of blood hit her nostrils and she stumbled, she looked around and called "Direstar?" her blue eyesglittered with worry for her leader. her head popped over the edge and she let out a sorrowful bark. "DIRESTAR". she sliddown the narrow path to the bottom of the gorge andnosed his crumbled body sorrowfully.

Mossey saw what had happened. "No THIS IS ALL MY FAULT! I SHOULD OF JUST DIED!" SHe cried to the heavens. SHe was so angry!"Why why did you let me live!"

Ripplestone gently grasped Direstars scruff between her jaws and swung her head so he flew onto her back. feelin the heat depart from his once noble body she let outa sorrowfilled howl that filled the gorge. she began walking up the narrow path. she would have to let the clan know, know of his untimley death. Ripplestone resovlved that she would not let Sunclan be drawn into any more battles.

She sang a little song and ran back to camp. That song was her life

Keaflight had just sunk her teeth into the cougars neck and ripped out its life force when she heard a terrifying crack and a howl of despar. as the cougar collapsd onto her she shoved it off her and looked around. just in time to see the red pelted leader be dragged away by the enw deputy. the brown furred wolf felt something lurch in her heart and she shot a look at thunderpaw "come on thunder... im worried for Direstar"

Everything happened to fast. First the lion, Direstar and everything. Thunder just barely heard Kea's words before everyone rushed away. Thunder swiped his large paw over the dry earth, confusion angering him. Slowly he ran after them

-Camp

Tigerfern was the first to appear and sat down staring at her paws. her yellow eyes looked to the spot where she seemed to instinctivley know where her father had died. she shudered and walked down the gorge sitting down near the spot. she closed her eyes and sighed.

Thunderstrike padded into the gorge, his paws shuffling in the loose earth. His rounded ears twitched to and fro as he listened. The large male stood tall, his pelt moving like the grasses upon the plains. He turned his head waiting for Scarletpaw a sudden unease taking him over. We should not have come here...

Scarletpaw padded into the area and flattened her ears warily. She could sense the uneasiness of the others and recalled that this was the place that Dire had died. All the crevices in the rock made her feel some-what creeped. It was as though something was watching them... Scarlet didn't like it. Shaking her fur, she tried to focus on something positive instead of the dark, deathly gorge.

The three legged warrior looked around, unease prickling at his paws like ants. His gaze scarred the land swiftly in an effort to locate anything that may be slightly odd. Too much was odd, and he didn't like it. "Maybe... we shouldn't be here..." Rocks seemed to move and stop as they turned their gaze upon them and large shadows seemed to laugh. Thunderfang's eyes narrowed and a soft growl came from the male as he hurried through.

(I am sorry, but I'm going to kill him off so if you want throw in a bear or cougar or whatever)

She flicked her ears and said "it dosent seemright here, it-" she was cut off as the bear that had claimed three of direstars lives reappeared. it was big black and angry, instinctivley throwing herself betweenthe bear and scarletpaw she got a tremendous whack to her head. sending her flying she hit the side of the gorge and slid down with a whimper.
