Sunningrocks

He ran a tongue over her ear then sighed "i can't help it Rainwhisper, it stings to see him perform the same mistakes that i made" his golden eyes watched his mate saying "at least i came to my sences..." he looked in the direction of camp where he had last seen copper "at least he is making Shadowlight happy" he shook his head and lightly shoved rainwhisper back.

Licking his chops, Adderpaw scraped a shallow hole in the earth, dropping the jay's remains in the dip before covering it. The young black male padded over to where his mother and father were, talking about wolves he had never heard of. "Copper, who's that? And who's Shadowlight?" he asked, head cocked to the right with an ear folded over.

Rainwhisper sighed and shrugged, turning to Adderpaw, "Hey kiddoo. Don't worry about it." She pushed the apprentice over playfully and smiled grandly. Her dark ebony colored tail wagged as she turned to the river. The dark females ears perked up and she narrowed her eyes, slowly she looekd back at Night and whispered, "I'll be back later." She walked confused, to the snake rocks.

Adderpaw watched his mother go. He turned his head to the sky, his crystaline blue eyes watching the faint outline of the moon appear. The black male had heard speakings of a Gathering from his elders, and he thought tonight was one of them. "Allright! Gathering!" he barked enthusiastically, his tail wagging as he dashed off towards Four Trees.

Nightowl shook his head affectionatly as he watched his son scamper off, he looked toward where rainwhisper had gone and paused. Biting his lip he had decided that he had waited for long enough. He began taking casual measured steps toward snakerocks. His golden eyes glittering with worry

Nightowl returned to the warm rocks and sat down, Rainwhispers fading scent was all around him and he felt his heart clench painfully. he shook his head and looked at the river ready to reveal to his daughter a secret that must be known.

Leafpaw arrived at the rocks first. How she was here first she did not know and she did not care. Quietly she sat down by a blooming bush and pushed her nose gently into it. It smelled sweet and of the earth. Her burning eyes became like tranquil waters as she simply melted into the green surroundings.

[color=#2554c7]Feathersoul reluctantly padded forward towards the rocks. She could still smell a faint scent of Rainwhisper, which made her feel worse. The small black fae came into sight of Leafpaw, so she climbed up a low-sitting rock. StarClan help me...

The black male glanced up as the other two faes appeared, he sat down and let out a loud sigh. He looked up and he murmured in leafpaws ear "rainwhisper was not your mother, nor Graywinds mother" his golden eyes were serious and quiet. He flicked his ears over at Feathersoul waiting for her to say something. His heart thudding, his fur ruffled along his spine.

Cry's head broke the surface of the water, her thick coat dragging her down. She let out a desperate bark for help. The flooded river sweeping the normally able swimmer dog into the thick current. She vanished under the water again, she had been travelling when she had fallen into the deep cold water.

Nightowl frowned hearing desperate panting, his fur stood on end as he saw a red dog be played with by the waters swift current. He shot a look at the two medicine wolves "someone go back to camp and warn them" he dove into the water landing with a loud splash, his fur quickly becomming wet and clinging to his form. He struggled through the water, all wolves could swim somewhat. He was bigger and stronger than the dog and used this to his advantage, he grabbed the flailing dog by the scruff. Finding a collar in his teeth as well he let out a short growl before pulling the dog to the shore and dropping her on one of the warm rocks to help warm her up. She was barely allowed to gain her breath before he barked aggressively "What! just what in the name of Starclan are you doing here housepet!" his words were cold and annoyed. He shook himself out hating the stench of his fur when it was wet. He sat down golden eyes narrowed at this red fae.

Cry yelped as sharp teeth dug into her scruff and collar dragging her and dumping her on sun bleached rocks. She coughed and coughed, feeling water splosh around in her lungs. Eventually she managed to expel most of the water and lay there gasping. Her red fur looking coppery as it was wet still. She lifted brown eyes and whispered hoarsely "My HouseFolk are dead I'm all alone..." her eyes closed for a few moments and they opened again. They started realizing the black dog in front of her was a wolf. Determined not to look weak she pushed herself up, still shaking from her near death experience and said in a stronger voice "I want to Join your pack!"

Nightowl growled "we don't take in housepets" He knew that Rockybolt and Stick were in the clan but they were strays not pampered pathetic house mutts. His black fur already beginning to dry under the greenleaf sun fluffed out. He glanced over at Feathersoul, a silent deign for help. Should they take this dog to Firestar or not. Nightowl Privately was against it, the clan didn't need another hungry mouth to feed. But if they chased her away she might strengthen another clan. Although he doubted that Stormclan would take in a dog.

Leafpaw turned away from her father, she did not want to hear this. Her attention was averted to a dog in the river, and her eyes widened in worry. She watched helplessly as the red canine was dragged out and rudely questioned. She looked the female up and down, "Are you okay? Do you need any help? Do you feel cold or weak?" Her job was to tend to the wounded and never ever discriminate. She gave a stern look to Nightowl before looking at the female who was way taller than herself. Leaf blinked in surprise before recalling what the female had said before. Her housefolk were dead. The apprentice had seen enough death already. Quietly she looked up at Cry, her eyes full of sympathy, "Is there no one else out there for you? Instead of joining a miserable clan..."

Cry looked up as another wolf made her way over, she looked down at her paws and said "i have noone left, i am utterly alone in this world" she shook herself a little, attempting to get rid of the coldness in her fur. Her brown almond shaped eyes glanced at the pretty wolf and she whispered "but apart from that physically i am fine thank you"

Nightowl sighed annoyedly, he flicked his black triangular ears back and muttered in Leafpaws ear "Feathersoul is your mother as i am your father" he then shot a cold annoyed glare at the dripping wet dog "come on then housepet" he trotted off heading for camp

The Dark red dogs folded ears moved back from their perked look. She sneezed a little and winced, it was hard for her to breathe. Her throat was sore from her coughing when she was getting the water out of her lungs. She shook herself out again, her dark green collar around her neck with the bone tag that read cry on it jingling a little. her pink nose came out and licked her black nose.

Leafpaw froze. She didn't want to hear that! She didn't want Feather to be her mother! A soft growl left the females throat as Nightowl just left. Her anger getting the better of her she snarled after her father, "No wonder Rainwhisper killed herself, someone must have finally told her she was second, and if anyone knew Rain she was second to no one ever. " He was gone but Leaf went on, "I don't need parents that lie..." The usually calm females fur spiked up as she stormed away. Fools, all of them.\

Feathersoul gulped as Nightowl told Leafpaw of Rainwhisper not being her true mother. Oh, dear StarClan... she thought as she had turned away from her father. The small black fae's attention turned to the red dog as she was hauled from the water, than rudely interrogated by Nightowl. The fae could only sit back and watch, helplessly, as Nightowl finally, and bluntly, confessed to her daughter. I don't need parents that lie. It was as if she could almost hear her heart shattering. Defeated and in sorrow, the small Medicine Wolf trudged back to camp, life drained from her eyes.

(Hey guys. I've kind of lost interest in role-playing. I think I'm going to quit. It's been fun.)

Toadpup was the first wolf to sunning rocks, he leapt up onto a sunbleached rock and grinned at the warmth of it. He watched in amazement as a bird fluttered up, he had never seen anything so graceful. he lay down on his belly with perked ears watching it with amazed orbs. He didn't make a move to chase it or anything, he was content with watching it.

Firestar padded slowly out of the undergrowth, her eyes gleaming. She saw Toadpup sitting on a rock and gave him a smile before sitting down under a tree. The fiery wolf yawned as she watched the scenery and sniffed at the prey scents all around her. Such a pretty place, I can remember playing here with my friends, all those moons ago.

Dolphinpup arrived at sunningrocks and went to go get a drink of water. The water was cool and refreshing on her tongue, she wanted to play in the water. So she lept up on a rock and jump into the cold water, she was swimming fine for awhile until a strong current came and pushed her under. She tried calling for help but couldn't so instead she just thrashed around in the water, trying to keep her head above the waters surface.

Firestar was just dirfting off when she heard the sound of something thrashing in the water. The fiery leader was on her feet in a flash, and padding quickly to where the little pup was. She grabbed Dolphinpup by the scruff gently and lifted her out of the water. The fiery wolf set her down on a rock and looked at her reasonably. "You have to watch out for the currents, some of them are quite strong." She lowered her head and drank too, only just realizing how thirsty she was.

Toadpup scowled as the bird flew away when everyone else appeared, he sat up with an annoyed huff and looked around for something else to do. His ears perked seeing some of last years dead leaves on the ground. He leapt down off the white rocks and landed slightly unsteadily, he walked over to them his tail in the air waving about slightly and nosed through them. He jumped about a foot back when a large green frog appeared leaping away. His ears perked and he ran after it till he could sniff it he asked it quietly "whats your name?"
