Windover Moor

Ivyfrost hurried into Windover Moor, instantly feeling more at home. She turned around, thinking that Tallpaw would follow her, but seeing no sign of pursuit, she relaxed, and got on with the hunt.

The female slowed, looking around for prey. The sparse moor was empty, or so it seemed.

There.

Just a few metres away from the young warrior, there was a small rabbit, nibbling on something. Ivyfrost turned her head so she could see it better as she stalked it, her pawsteps light on the barren ground. The dead grass cracked beneath her feet, and the rabbit bolted, haring across the plain. The female raced behind it, picking up speed.

It is not long for this world.

Ivyfrost kept going, panting like mad. She would make it! Her Clan would be fed -

Something to her blind side, her right, tripped her up. She stumbled, and fell. Ivyfrost looked behind her, expecting some wolf to be behind all of this.

It was a log.
A simple, little, log.
Well, not so little, admittedly.
The female recovered herself, seeing the rabbit run off to it's burrow. I'll get you next time, don't you worry.
She got up, and shook her fur. I suppose the Clan will go hungry tonight....
Forlorn and disappointed in herself, Ivypool made her way back to the Camp.

-WC Camp-

"Come on dawnpup." she said with the pup following behind her.

Dawnpup followed behind SnowFlower, talking with Sweetpup. Suddenly, they stopped. "Shh..."said SnowFlower. "What is it, SnowFlower?" whispered Dawnpup, peering from behind SnowFlower's haunches.

"I see a vole, want me to catch it?" she said queitly.

"Can you?" asked Dawnpup, her eyes wide.
(Sorry its so short. Ive got nothing better to say.)

"sure." she smiled, then in one quick pounce, SnowFlower caught the vole and placed it in front of dawn "here you go." she said.

"It's your catch, you eat first." said Dawnpup.

"Nah, I'm full besides, I can catch another one if we were hungry." she smiled.

Dawnpup argued no more and dug in. Soon, there was nothing left of the vole and Dawnpup was full. " Mmmmm..." said Dawnpup under her breath, stifling a burp. " Thanks SnowFlower!" she said.

"hehe, you pups are so funny." she smiled. "sometimes I wonder why my brother and sister left without me..." she stared at the sky, deep in thought.

Dawnpup nudged SnowFlower. " I think you're the best! They were most probably jealous....."
She trailed of as she realized that her words were NOT helping at all.

"I miss them so..." she sighed. "thanks for trying Dawn, its getting dark, shall we go to sleep?" she asked.

"Ok," said Dawnpup, opening her little jaws wide in a huge yawn, showing little pointy, carnivorous teeth. She scraped together a bed of soft moss for her and SnowFlower between two rocks, for it was well sheilded from the cold wind there. She lay her little head down and closed her beautiful honey amber eyes and begun to snore. "Zzz..." she snored.

Soon, SnowFlower fell asleep as well. But then she was awaken by a small noise, "Who's there?" she said. The wind blew, then the leaves on the tree's rustled, "oh, thats what I heard." she said feeling silly, "I can't go back to sleep."she sighed. "It's so boring...time for my favourite past time, Dawn is still asleep I will be back when its morning." she said. Then, she started walking to the border.

-TC,WC Border-

Dawnpup stirred and felt for the warm furry bundle that was supposed to be there. " Where....where am I?" She thought, a ball of fear rolling in her belly. Then she remembered where she was. "But where's SnowFlower?" she thought. then she saw a track of pawprints leading away from the bed of moss. " That must be SnowFlower's." Dawnpup thought. She followed them to the WindClan and ThunderClan border.

-TC, WC Border-

"here we are, this is windover moor." she smiled and started running around the open field.

Heatherpup shut her eyes and sighed in delight. She loved the feel of the wind in her fur and the sound of the breeze as it traveled across the land. Her eyes flew open as Snowflower ran off and a smile stretched across her muzzle as she took of after her, giggling with glee.

"heehee can't catch me." she laughed and saw dawnpup. "hey dawnpup, wanna join us in a game of chase?" she smiled.

"Ok," Dawnpup said. She inched towards SnowFlower. "But lets make it more intresting. How about.... shadow tag!" Dawnpup pounced onto SnowFlower's shadow. "Tag! Your it!" Dawnpup said playfully, and ran away across the moor.

Heatherpup squeaked with joy as Dawnpup came up and started to play too. She darted away from Snowflower as she was tagged and hid behind a heather bush, panting and peeping around the side of the bush with playful eyes.

He trotted out of the tunnel and stared around he grinned seeing heatherpup "hey heatherpup want to come to the borders with us!?" His blue eyes sparkled, already a couple of feet high hes the fastest growing pup.

Moonpup quietly slipped out of the tunnels behind Direpup, the darkness turning a shade lighter. She felt strange, and the tunnels were pulling at her feet. She slowly backed up until she was half way into the tunnel, and paused for a moment.

Direpup turned and looked at moonpup "whats wrong moonie?" he asked softly, having made up a nickname for her while they were down in the tunnels. he frowned watching her carefully. blue eyes slightly concerned.

"I...I dont know. I guess I feel safer in the tunnels. Maybe its cause I'm blind..." She took another step back, than turned to that her head was facing into the tunnel. Turning her head, she called back, "I'm just going to go now... Have fun at the borders..." She started padding away, into the tunnels.
