Silentwhisper yawned and entered the area where he would be training his first apprentice. He was excited deep down but he tried not to show it. Picking up the scent of a small mouse on the way, just to amuse himself he started to chase it and later kill it. Dropping it on the forest floor he sighed and waited once more.

Creekpaw followed Silentwhisper to the edge of the river. He glanced over at the slick, motionless fish lying on the bank. Excitement made him shiver. Crouching beside the bank, he watched the water with his amber eyes, waiting until he could see a flash of silver. Darting forward his jaws clamped around a small trout, his fangs sinking into its flesh. He lost his footing, slipping down into the calm brook with a yelp. Landing with a soft slap, his head poked above the water, flinging the fish on shore. He quickly lashed out with his paw, slashing open a gash in its gills, killing it instantly. He hauled himself out of the river, shaking his fur out.

Silentwhisper watched with amusement. "Great, thought you might want to work on your friend footing." He chuckled. "Try again and try not to fall over!" He dropped the fish that he caught next to Creekpaw's trout. He couldn't identify his as he was no Riverclan wolf but hey. It's a whole new woooorld.

Creekpaw snorted at Silentwhisper's comment. The large gray male shook out his thick leaf-bare pelt again, surely splattering his mentor with icy drops. "Maybe I will this time," he joked as he crouched down in front of the river again. His RiverClan instincts took over, immersing him like a wave. He crouched, motionless, his tail tip twitching anxiously as he waited for the flash of silver that would trigger him. There! His paw flashed out, his claws sinking into the flesh of a large trout. Flicking his paw, he sent it soaring into the air, flapping around wildly until he caught it in his jaws, his fangs snagging its gills and shredding them. He dropped the slightly bloodied body on the earth. The damp apprentice's tail wagged.

"That's great!" He exclaimed. He walked around for a bit. He then sat down a bit. "Do you wish to continue?" He looked at his apprentice with his purple eyes.

(I'm going to try a second person post :{D we've been practicing it at school and I want to see what it looks like)

You look up at Silentwhisper. You tense your muscles, your large body lunging forward. You feel your paws thudding against the earth as you rush forward to slip under your mentor's belly. Your back paw reaches out, and you feel yourself skidding to a stop before your muscles flex, propelling you forward to land neatly on all fours on the black wolf's back. As your paws reach out to grasp Silentwhisper's fur, you hear yourself bark teasingly, "Does that answer your question?"

Silentwhisper shook his apprentice off. "Offensive fighting it is then." He coughed. He looked at his apprentice thoughtfully. "Who taught you that move?" he asked, taking another step forward.

Creekpaw glanced down at his paws, embaressed by his mentor's praise. "Well, I just sort of thought it up. I didn't expect it to work, but..." He shuffled his paws. "I just, went along with it, you know? Just a spur-of-the-moment."
