Fourtrees #6

Fourtrees is a group of four tall oak trees that the Clan wolves have held their Gatherings at since the early days of the Clans. Fourtrees is described as neutral territory, and is often used when wolves from different Clans want to meet outside a Gathering. There is a large rock in the middle of Fourtrees called the Great Rock.The Clan leaders use it to look down on the Clans and share their news during Gatherings. Also, there is a small opening in the rock with a space big enough for many small pups to fit into.

Spottedpup just shrugged at Fangclaw's question. "I wanted to meet some other wolves." She said. Spottedpup glanced at the rock, where the other pups were. "And I'm almost 6 moons old, and it's kinda hard to get into the rock." She admitted, sheepishly.

Wind smiled back at Firespell and flicked an ammused ear at Hawkpool. "I wasn't mad, I was just saying the truth." he cocked his head at his old friend, "But tell me, do you think I look like a mutt to you." he asked winking a bit. Wind saw the leaders leap on to the rock and waited, there were still two leaders not here yet, the thunderclan leader for one. He couldn't help wondering how this gathering would turn out.

Snowflower overheard them. "No wolf looks like a ragged mutt."she said. "That's just Silent when he gets angry or feels challenged."she said. Turning away, she padded to a farther area. It was far enough to enjoy quiet but near enough to listen to the leaders.

Wind smiled at Snowflower. Then he asked to no wolf in particular, "Anyone knows where the other leaders are?" seeing that Firespell was still slightly anry, he nudged her, "Hey, let it go. Clan rivalries are normal."

It was true what Spottedpup had said. She was larger than the others that were playing around. "Well I bet you'll be named as an apprentice soon." Fangclaw mentioned with a nod. Looking around, his friend still hadn't showed up. 'Where are they?' He thought to himself with a flick of his tail. "Tallfeather, you still haven't answered me." With a lopsided grin, the warrior still hadn't forgotten their conversation before Spottedpup had joined them.

Tallfeather hadn't really been paying attention to Spottedpup and Fangclaw's conversation, instea letting his thoughts wander, so he looked at Fangclaw blankly when he realized he'd been addressed. For a moment he sat there with that dumbfounded look on his face, trying to rogue out what the warrior was talking about, until he finally realized that Fangclaw was referring back to the question he'd asked him before Spottedpup appeared. Fox-dung. He figured he'd wriggled out of answering. "Just a friend." He said nonchalantly, voice totally casual.

Spottedpup brightened at the thought of being an apprentice. She looked at all the wolves around the clearing. "The gathering will probably start soon." She thought. She looked around the place and realized that she hadn't met a Sunclan wolf yet. "Are any Sunclan wolves here yet?" She asked suddenly, halfly also to change the subject for Tallfeather too, since he looked a little distressed.

"Yea!" Emberpup scrambled up beside Sparrowpup, sinking her claws deep into the roots. She glanced around, surprised at how they had never discovered this before. "So what should we announce, oh great Sparrowstar?" the russet pup said, dipping her head down in mock respect.

Fangclaw narrowed his eyes into slits until his head snapped back to the pup that he was previously talking to. "Not that I know of, no. I'm waiting for a few friends." Its been an entire moon since he had last seen Ripplestone and Stoatblaze, so of course he would be anxious. Tallfeather seemed to be avoiding the question, and so the warrior didn't exactly press on the subject any longer.

Spottedpup nodded. "I hope I get to meet a Sunclan wolf. She replied. "So what's it like in Stormclan?" Spottedpup asked. "Is everyone good swimmers, there?"

Fangclaw had to admit. He liked the spunk that this pup had. "Sunclan is just a mixture of all the clans. RiverClan, ShadowClan, ThunderClan and even Windclan." It was like he was an elder at the moment, but no. He was a warrior who lived to see the four original clans. "And Stormclan is basically consisted of Shadowclan and Riverclan. So whoever was born and raised when Riverclan was around, we're excellent swimmers. But I don't see the wrong on teaching some of the others." When and if Fangclaw receives an apprentice, he would teach them how to swim. It was his goal from today on.

Wind smiled at the pups an headed towards the one that was from thunderclan. "Hey there Amberpup." he said in a gentle tone. He hadn't wanted to make the pup afraid. He looked around and sighed, there were lots of wolves for him to came to meet and learn their names. Wind sighed inwardly, socializing was not one of his strong point.

Firespell smiled again at Emberpup. "Hello there, you're Emberpup, aren't you?" She cocked her ears towards where Fangclaw and a pup were talking about StormClan and SunClan. The firey wolf's amber eyes gleamed. "Where are the other Leaders?" she muttered.

Wind glanced over at Firespell, "does this happen often?" he asked gesturing with his head at the two empty places where the leaders were not there still. "So, are you deputy for long?" Wind thought he would start talking to Firespell. sehe's friendly enough he thought.

Firespell shook her head. "Certainly not at the last gathering." She thought a little while over Wind's second question. "Yes, ever since Phoenixstar and I and Featherpaw came back from Highstones." She liked Wind.

Sparoowpup grinned at Emberstar. "I think we should announce about new pups oh great Emberstar!" She said with a mock of respect. "One of StormClan's warriors delivered four healthy pups!"

Wolfpup padded into the gathering space and noticed pup voices coming from the rock. So he went over and examined the rock itself, finding the crack. He too saw a dim light on the other side. He wiggled his way though the crack and slid into the room. "Hi, I'm Wolfpup!" He said happily.

Lionpup padded into the clearing, a slightly down-hearted glint entering his eyes as he noticed the lack of pups around. Where are they all? Pausing on the outskirts of the clearing the large pup sat down near a bush, gazing around. Maybe more would come soon... He thought hopefully.

[EDIT]~ Spotting Wolfpup enter the gathering place and head towards GreatRock, he watched curiously as he began to squeeze between one of the gaps and dissapear inside. Bounding after him with an astonished expresion on his face, the pup wriggled through the gap after his Clanmate, unaware of what he was about to discover inside. Gazing around the moss-covered space filled with the chatter of other pups his mouth fell open in awe. "Wow!"

Streakpaw follows over to Firespell. "Hello, Firespell." She looked at her white, fluffy paws. Her ears flatten. "After the gathering, I am going." Her ears flick.

Wolfpup grinned, it was so cool. "It's really cool Lionpup! Sparrowpup suggested that we meet here for pup gatherings!" Wolfpup informed her friend. Together, they were the only WindClan wolves here.

Lionpup grinned back at his friend. "Too right, it's awesome!" With his tail thrashing excitedly back and forth he listened intently as Wolfpup informed him about Sparrowpup's gathering idea. "That sounds great too!" Turning to no one inparticular he quiried, "When would the gatherings be?"

Firespell looked at Streakpaw. "I know and I will miss you", she said, sniffing slightly. Then the firey wolf gazed around, puzzled. "Where have all the pups disappeared too?" she said.

"I have no idea." She looks around. "Maybe I should meet some SunClan wolves. But, I still want to talk to you. But I don't know what to talk about." Her fluffy white paws almost glow in the dim light.

Wolfpup grinned and thought about it. "We can sneak out when the medicine wolves do maybe? When they visit moonstone every half moon." He announced, proud to have thought up that time. He went sliding again.
