Crystal Cave Ideas: Coupons!

Alright, we all know that sometimes we get annoyed at some of the higher prices in the Crystal Cave, especially when its something we want. So I've formed an idea; Coupons! (No idea if I spelt that right)
Coupons can be earned in different ways; some suggestions would be winning contest, making a certain amount of posts, etc. They could be earned from OOC (Winning a contest or coming with an idea?) and, In charcter aswell (Getting promoted [Without rank promo]).
They would be something like, 5 crystals off any charcter addition, etc. There would be a little thing for coupons like the loyalty and stats.
Overall it is a convient idea that needs consideration. Feel free to post what you think!

It went something like this:
Leaders got a 75% off coupon to start out with.
Deputies got a 50% off coupon.
And regular members got a 25% off coupon.
You could earn any one of those coupons by being active and participating. I think your idea of giving a certain coupon when you advance a rank. This might work.
Pup to apprentice: 25% off coupon
Apprentice to young warrior: 25% off coupon
Warrior to senior warrior: 50% off coupon
Senior warrior to Elder: 50% off coupon

But its a really good idea. But how would you keep track of all the coupons?

Um, write it down? Memorize what you have? Put it in your signature!?! Or, if we're able, we could have another point system...

It would be listed in a bar type of form, like loyalty. Or there would be a log each member obtained to keep track of their coupons. There also could be a limit as to how many you can obtain in a month, and a deadline for use.

I think there was a similar idea like what Hawk said; though the coupons would be a good idea when it came to contests or posting a lot. A log could work; and I think that perhaps having a limit on how many you could use per purchase or as Echo said how many you could have per month could be a good idea. If someone had several of the 75% off coupons, and a coupon which had an amount of crystals off, they might be able (though it would be hard) to make it to where they earned crystals back instead of paying for anything.

Promotional coupons may work as well, when one becomes a young warrior, warrior, and such. There might be a way to be able to make a bar similar to the loyalty bar, though I'm not sure that would work if the coupons were in percentage rather than crystals off something on the cave.

Or you could only have certain amounts of the same for example; 2 25% off, 1 50% off, etc. And if they had experation dates, like I said above, you snooze you lose if you don't have enough crystals by time the coupon expires. This would prevent them from being "overly used."
Also if you get a warning you can get some taken away from you.

When we had our raffle we used a voucher system and people had a certain crystal voucher that was added to their account basically, so it was subtracted at purchase for whatever you wanted.

It might be hard to have a full-blown one if it was for just when people were active (because its hard to keep track of everyone) but maybe for contests and things

Yeah that's true. But you could always just give them more crystals for the contests...

Well we can keep track of people who are on everyday; which is the majority of the site. And we could get volunteers to help keep track.
