SunClan Camp

Weed sat in a tree a few yards away. Her tail twitched. Man,these packs are so boring. Always fight,fight,fight. She over turned the piece of straw in her mouth.

Aurorapaw ran up her eyes filled with tears, she felt so empty she tripped over and slammed into adderpaw, getting up she raced around him then headed into the medicine den. Throwing herself into her mossy nest she curled up her eyes glittering with tears.

Weed lifted her head,as her eyes twisted into worry. "Whats wrong with her?" Her ears twitched. I wonder if someone beat her up,like those two immature wolves.

Adderpaw collapsed on his side as Aurorapaw barreled him over. He wanted to yell What the heck man!, but then he heard the sobbing. The black male ignored all of Lavapaw's warnings and threats as he swiftly slipped back into the cave mouth, slipping down to the Medicine chamber. He sat at the entrance, watching as tears soaked into the mossy green nest of Aurorapaw as she cried. "You okay?" he asked softly, wondering whether to leave or to move closer to comfort her.

Fernshade dashed after her,she stopped at the sight of the Thunderclanner. "You've got to go home." She swallowed the lump in her throat. "Sunclan terms have nothing to do with you."

Gentleheart walked into the medicine and nodded to Fernshade. " she is right, it would be best for you to return home now, thank you for your concern." The ginger colored deputy said waiting for the thunderclan apprentice to leave. She walked out and made her way over to Lavapaw. " you okay," she said licking his ear.

Fernshade nodded to Gentleheart as she stepped away to Lavapaw. She sighed and sat down. Staring at her paws. "Umm,I know you might be worried and all,since you have some kind of crush on the girl." A small chuckle escaped her maw. "But for now,stick to you clan's terms." Her yellow eyes lost their color for a second. "But Windclan's got their own problems too...." She trailed off and bit her lip.

Lavapaw flicked his ears and smiled up at Gentleheart, his yellow eyes softened before he growled at adderpaw "yeah thug! get your tail outta our land" his voice was loud and brash. his yellow eyes glittering with indignation

(Wait,he's my apprentice? Huh,oh sorry hehe)

Fernshade turned and growled at Lavapaw. "Stand down Lavapaw. He's leaving." She snorted and flicked her tail. "We'll go hunting tomorrow morning,early in the morning." Her ears twitched. "So,get to bed."

Lavapaw nodded at his mentor then turned heading for the apprentice den, he peered in at bramblepaw before he trotted into his little nest curling up. he carefully rearranged the moss so that it partially covered his flaming pelt and rested his head on his paws. he waggled his tail a little.

Scarletsoul padded out of the medicine den and gave a sigh. "Adderpaw, it would be best if you left for your own territory now." She barked as she padded towards the cave mouth and motioned towards the entrance. Scarletsoul sat down just outside of the cave and looked out over the territory. Where was the rest of the clan and Ripplestar? Surely they should've been back by now?

Gentleheart shook her head and went to the warriors den and curled up in her nest. She sighed heavily, "I wish you were here Russetwind, I miss your warm." She muttered before she fell asleep. However her dreams were not peaceful, she dreamed of watching her mate die over and over again. She tossed in her sleep, unable to escape he nightmare.

Fernshade dipped her head at Adderpaw. "Tell Firestar,Sunclan says hi." She flicked her tail and made her way to the warrior's den. Fern crawled in,only to find Gentleheart tumbling all around. She sighed and laid down beside her. She licked her ear. "We all need sleep,deputy." Fernshade yawned as she curled up in her own nest. Her tail curled up warmly beside her.

Ripplestar returned to camp and sat down outside the cave, her eyes tired. Black ears flicked back the elegant white and black fae blinked bright blue eyes. she lashed her tail and stood before beginning to pace a little. thinking to herself.

Fernshade suddenly felt a rush of air. She sat up quickly and started panting. She felt like panicking. She shook her head to snap out of it. Seeing she was just getting warmer,she exited the warrior's den. The stars were in the sky,and the cold fresh air relieved her. She sighed and noticed Ripplestar's familiar pelt. She padded over,then sat down behind her. Watching her pace back and forth. "Whats on your mind?"

Ripplestar looked up and flicked her ears in greeting to the brown fae, she sat down and murmured "just worrying, I live in constant fear that one more of our wolves will die" her blue eyes glittered with emotion before she flicked her tail with a sigh and questioned Fernshade on her apprentice "how is Lavapaw doing?" she had been thinking about reassigning him to gentleheart, but had decided against it because Gentleheart seemed more of a mother figure to the lost apprentice.

Scarletsoul noticed Ripplestar pad towards the den and sit at the entrance to camp. She let out a sigh of relief to see their leader was okay but looked awkwardly down at her paws as something popped into her mind. What would Ripplestar think if she saw me and Ottersky at the gathering last night?... Pushing the thought away and shaking her head, Scarletsoul guessed she shouldn't interrupt the conversation and padded back into the den. Heading for the freshkill pile, Scarlet picked out a rather plump looking rabbit and carried it towards the warriors before flopping down onto the floor and eating.

Fenshade dipped her head at Stoatblaze as he passed her. Then grinned at her red brother. She turned to reply Ripplestar. "Yes,I suppose thats true,but they wouldn't want us to mope for the rest of our lives. Correct?" She flicked her ears. "And Lavapaw's doing well. He's an excellent apprentice." She turned to the night sky. "You should get some sleep. All your restlessness will get you sick or something." She shrugged and yawned. Starring at her leader.

Scarletsoul noticed Rainpaw, Pinedusk and Stoatblaze return to camp and she nodded to them in greeting as they walked past. Finishing off her meal, Scarlet rose to her paws and stretched her legs, at the same time stretching her jaws wide open in a yawn. Giving her rusty brown fur a good shake, the brown and black female looked around to see if she could spot anything to do. The gathering had been a little weird and had left Scarlet in a funny mood. She felt fidgety, like she needed to move constantly as if ants were crawling at her feet. To occupy herself, Scarletsoul wriggled into the warriors den and began to sort through the moss to find any thorns or old, dry moss that could be replaced. She knew this was an apprentices' task but she guessed she may as well have a go at it and give the apprentices one less job to do.

Ripplestar noted Scarletsouls Ants in pants movements and said "Scarletsoul why don't you take Lavapaw and Rainpaw out on a border patrol?" she named the two apprentices who first came to her mind. She looked about noting stoatblaze and walked over to him. She breathed in his familiar scent and buried her face in his flank. black tail tip twitching

Ebonyfur went into the medicine wolves den and saw her daughter, crying. Se lay down next to her as she gave her pup comforting licks. "No medicine wolf can save everybody they encounter as sick. Failures make success. Keep that in mind."she said to Aurorapaw. "One day, you will become one of the best medicine wolves in all the clans."she said.

Fernshade nodded as Ripplestar went to Stoatblaze in a warm embrace. She turned to the warrior's den. Her twitching disapeared. She curled up at her nest and yawned. Sleep slowly overcoming her.
