Owl Tree

she chuckled at him. she smiled and joined in his howl, wanting the whole world to know that she was now a warrior and had the person she loved. Shadowlight was as happy as can be. But there was something that was bothering her, " Copperstream are you sure that you want to be with me?" Shadowlight was a bit insecure, she didnt really understand how a handsome and kind male wolf like him would want to be with her. " because you know you dont have to be with me because you heard what i said earlier, its fine if you want to be with Emberfeather, i would understand." as she said that her face was turned away from Copperstream, she didnt want him to see the tears that were starting to pool up in her yellow eyes.

He shoved his nose under her chin and said "of course i want to be with you", he pushed his fur into her fur as he whispered "you are the only wolf i want to be with, EMberfeather was just teasing you, she loved runningpaw". he flicked his ears and sadi "sorry Runningwind". he licked her check a couple of times.

Shadowlight leaned into him and licked his nose in return. " well then come on lover boy, lets hunt." Copperstream helped her gain back her confidence knowing that he was hers and she was his. " do you want to hunt here or do you have somewhere else in mind?" she asked with a grin on her face.

Copperstream blinked his coppery eyes then leapt up into the trees, his copper pelt blending in well with the bark of the tree. he paused then winked "here will do" he watched a squirrell leap across the branches and waited for teh perfect moment. readying his back legs he shoved off the branch and soared through the air. his jaws snapping desicivly around the squirrels middle. he landed neatly and chuckled.

" show off," she joked as he landed with the squirrel. she sat and listened, she hear the fluttering of bird feathers. she sniffed in that direction and smelled a Mockingbird. she crawled into a bush that was diagonal to it and then waited a moment before she darted out and caught the bird in her jaws. but the bird wasnt dead yet so she squeezed her jaws harder and the bird's body went limp in her jaws.

He grinned and scented the air, the rich warm smell of deer wafted up his nostrils. he snorted and angled his ears toward the direction of the deer. he wondered wheteher shadow would like to hunt it with him. his copper eyes shone.

Shadowlight set the Mocking bird down. she saw that Copperstream was sniffing at the air again. she raised her nose and she smelled deer, we should hunt that it would feed the clan for days, she thought to herself and she wondered if he was thinking the same thing. " hey Copper do you want to hunt that deer together?"

Emberfeather approached the Owl Tree. She peered around, searching for any sign of Shadowlight and Copperstream. She sighed, not being able to find them any where. She reared up on her hind legs, sinking her front claws into a sturdy Oak. Pushing off the ground, she hauled herself up the tree, resting on a branch with her russet fur blending in to the splotched bark.

He nodded "yeah, lets hunt it together" His copper eyes glittered at SHadowlight and he slunk into the bushes. his copper fur blending in well with the forest floor. he soon seemed to vanish as he stalked the doe and her fawn. his eyes glittered lightly.

Hearing faint rustling, Emberfeather narrowed her eyes, spotting Copperstream and Shadowlight at last. She was about to hop down when she noticed that they were hunting. [i]I'll guess I'll have to wait for them to make the kill," she thought, preparing herself for the wait. She sighed. It saddened her to see them together, so happy when she was alone. Looking back in her memories, she realized that she did develop some feelings for Copperstream, but she had been so focussed on Runningwind, and now he was...gone. Refusing to think about it any longer, she foussed on the doe and fawn, searching for any sign of Two-legs.

Shadowlight followed Copperstream into the bush silently and got on the side of him. " hey Copperstream how about you take lead and ill follow." he was stronger and bigger than her, so he could go first and she was a medium size but she was fast and would be ready to go right after him. " After you go, I'll go after you but on the other side that way the deer is focused on you and hopefully i can catch it by surprise."

Copperstream nodded and went first, flicking his tail he waited for Shadowlight to duck around the side and get infront of the deer before he leapt. his copper eyes glittered as he waited patiently. his coppery tail swishing little.

Shadowlight ran around the other side of the deer. She got in front of it and lunged for the neck. she got a hold of it but the deer kept shaking its head and she fell of. Shadowlight gave it a few swipes then went for the neck again. This time she held on better. she hoped Copperstream would make his move soon.

Copperstream burst from the undergrowth just as the deer was about to leap over his bush. his teeth connected together in its throat and as it leapt awayit tore open its own throat. it stood there gasping for air as the copper wolf growled at it "come on hoof brain! i can take you on anytime!"

Shadowlight was shook from the deer when Copperstream made his move. she laugh as he taunted the deer. she went for the hamstring so that it couldnt run. The deer buckled and tried to get back up but it couldnt really walk. she bit down harder and heard a crack, and let go. she smiled at Copperstream, " go ahead and finish it so that we can bring it back to camp and sit vigil."

Emberfeather's eyes flashed as the two wolves hunted happily together. Why would she need to warn them now? They would die happily together. Standing, the young warrior padded back to camp, not being able to control the tears that welled in her eyes.

~TC Camp~

Copperstream killed the deer with dignity and dragged it onto his back, he grinned at Shadowlight with affection. he wagged his coppery tail fondly and he said "we are thebest young warriors ever Shadowlight". he began hauling the deer back to camp.
-camp

She watched as he killed the deer with grace. she licked his muzzle before he trotted with the deer back to camp. "yeah i guess we are," she said laughing. She followed Copperstream back to camp.

-camp

Hawkpool slowed to a trot at the sight of the large tree. She blinked,and flicked her tail. She then leapt up into it. Hawk then sat up on the tree. She smiled.

Falconwing ran up and skidded to a halt before tripping lsightly. The large male laughed at himself before looking up at Hawkpool, "Well, my fair lady we are here to hunt no?" He stuck his tongue out playfully and sat down. His ears twitched with the sound of prey.

Hawkpool smiled,then glanced back at Otterpaw. "Hey,want to learn how to hunt?" She flicked her tail and smiled. She sat down and gazed down at the pup.

otterpaw returned and narrowehis eyes a little untrustingly of hawkpool, he felt uneasy and pressed his fur into falconwings pelt. he said "falconwing is teaching me later" his voice was soft and uneasy. he licked his nose

Hawkpool nodded. Knowing he was a little scared. She then turned and stood up. She took a deep breathe she twitched her ears at the sounds of birds. She then lowered her head. She scented a squirrel,so she shot out. Keeping her eyes closed. Hawk shotout and bit the rodent's neck. She tasted the metallic taste of blood. She stoped and then brought it back. She blinked and set it down.

Falconwing smiled, "C'mon pal, just scent around... and when you got the scent you just..." Falconwing smelt the sweet scent of his favorite prey, rabbit. Falconwing paused and prodded Otterpaw, and pointed to the right. About ten feet away a rabbit sat, eating to his hearts content. "Let's get him..."

Hawk watched as the two hunted. She sat down and watched them carefully. She blinked. In excitment,Hawk twitched her tail.
