Owl Tree

Otterpaw nodded and crouched down, his ears pointedup. he began stalking the rabbit with a clumsy uneasy grace. using grass as cover he suddenly leapt and began chasing after the rabbit. his paws slapping the ground as he dashed along. he leapt up thinking i can do this i can do this easy peasy. and slammedinto the rabbit the force killingit.

Hawkpool blinked as Otterpaw slammed into the ground. She flopped her ears to the side and frowned. That kid's got a lot to learn. She sighed and flicked her tail.

Falconwing watched, half impressed half already thinking about what to teach Otterpaw. He saw he killed the rabbit but probably not the easiest or nicest way he could have. Falon smiled, "Well you caught it, but we need to work on your stalking and quiet side." He winked still letting Otter know he had done a good job.

Otterpaw grinned, his heart thmping with pure excitement and adrenaline. he stretched out his brown body and bounced up and down. his tail wagged and he barked "youth is a falling star that never burns out!" his eyes sparkled and he crouched down practising his stalking technique even as he practised he began getting better.

(Ah sorry!)

Falconwing smiled with great joy and nodded, "That's right pal!" He looked around for more prey as Otterpaw practiced. The large male could smell the faint scent of... of what was it? Falconwing stood puzzled and looked at Hakwpool. "You smell that right? What is it?" It was a horrible odor, strong and pungent and yet it carried the faint scent of what they searched for... prey.

Otterpaw not noticing the odd smell continued practising, as he practised a pounce he came face to face with a huge badger. monstrusly grown out of proportion it was missing an eye. it lunged swinging for the young apprentice who whimpered and flailed out his front paws in terror. by complete accident his paws sliced open its nose. red rivers of blood danced down the badgers black nose. swiping out a furious paw he got slammed on his domed head, he yelped in terror as he collapsed, blood runnin from the wound in his head. white bone showed.

Hawkpool felt a familiar dead smell flash through her mind. She shot back to reality. Only to see Otterpaw white rping on the ground. She quickly crouched and bunched up her muscles. She then shot at the badger,letting her paw slah its cheek. It growled and shook his head. Splashing blood onto Hawkpool's face. It lunged and she dodged to the side. As the badger was of balence,she tackled it head in,and pinned it down. She heard a sharp snap,and her blood-shot eyes widened. She moaned,and stared at the badger.
Its maw was crunching her leg. She watched as blood surged around the badger's belly. With a growl,and its muzzle and gave it a crunch. She felt the metallic blood surge into her mouth. She tasted her own blood.

Falconwing growled and turned to where the scent was coming from, it had taken a while for him to identify and when he had Hawkpool and Otterpaw were already on the case. To make everything seem worse for the brute, he saw Otterpaw on the floor, blood prouring from him. Falcon's eyes widened in even more anger as he rushed forward pushing the animal off of Hawkpool and away from Otterpaw. He ducked away at a few hits the animal threw at him and decided to remain where the badger was blind. He smirked and rammed his head into its side, knocking it over.

Otterpaw awoke dizzily, noticing falconwing knock the badger over he stood trembly. the badger deciding that it had had enough of these wolves turned and fled loudly. otterpaw whispered "it hurts poppa it hurts" his eyes rolled up and he fell back down. white skull bone showin gfrom the heavily bleeding scratches.

Falconwing nodded, "I know, I know." He padded over to Otter and frowned the large gash upon the apprentices head deep and red. The warrior closed his eyes, and breathed slowly. "Just relax okay... relax." He smiled and nudged the brown apprentice with an infinite amount of care. "Don't worry you'll be fine." Falcon saw Otter like a son and though he still refused to admit it to himself and others, the brown bundle of fur was what kept him going.

Hawkpool jumped back as Falconwing tore the badger off of her. Her blind eye was shut in pain. She watched as Falcon padded back to Otterpaw. She felt her body grow hot. The blood roared in her ears. She watched as the badger came up again. This time,its eyes blood-shot. She growled and flashed out a paw,with claws unsheathed. She tore its ear,and quickly stepped back.

Otterpaw lay there limply. probbaly going to have to be carried back to camp. he looked small and clueless as he was collapsed on the hard earth. his breathing soft and shallow

Falconwing turned back to the badger, and looked at Hawkpool. With a soft growl he caught its attention and smirked. His tail lashed as he pushed the animal back with an angry snarl. He thought as he fought the animal dodging its attacks. Not my family, not my clan, not anyone... He refused to let anyone get hurt because of a stupoid badger. He brabbed its muzzle and pushed it back so it was unable to claw at him. Falconwing let go, slashing his claws across the badgers face. His eyes were full of hatred and anger as he slammed his paw against his head with such a force the animal fell, his paw twitching once in a while before stopping. The male growled and felt like attacking what was now a corpse but decided against it. "C'mon you two." His voice was hoarse, holding no trace of kindness. He was mad, mad that this had even happened. He nudged Hawkpool, "You can make it back on your own right, or do you need osme help." He rolled Otterpaw over and picked him up ever so gently by the scruff. "It''l be fine..."

Hawkpool watched as Falcinwing took the rest out. She growled and took hold of the bader's scruff. Its pbody starting to get cold. She cringed as she tried to stand in her foot. So she limped the rest of the way.

Falconwing watched Otterpaw run in the other direction and grumbled slightly. He should be getting his wounds tended to. With a rather annoyed huff the tired male ran to the four tree after Otter. Falcon looked at the sky and rolled his eyes, "Oi."

Fourtrees~

Hawkpool arrived first and warily glanced around. It was stating to get dark. She shrugged it off and yawned. She glanced up at the tree and tried to see the old owl,who supposedly lived there.

Stick gazed around the forest. Taking in each and every scent. Its definitely not the city,but It'll do. He rolled his shoulders and noticed as Hawk glanced up at the large tree in the clearing. He tipped his head to one side,curiosly.

Blackpaw padded into the scene her head held high as she sniffed around and looked up at the hole in the tree. she smirked, that owl better never try to even touch her, or she'd teach it a lesson alright. She allowed her ears to relax more than they already were, though she was alert the whole time. She picked up her right back leg and padded around the tree, sniffing for anything.

Hawkpool watched as Blackpaw crawled up the tree. She sighed and lowered her head. [i]How about suppose to train that thing?" She flicked her tail and laid down on her stomach.

Blackpaw sniffed a hole in the ground, it was small and rather warm. She had gone behind the tree and swiftly she dug, inhaling deeply as she did so. She stuck her nose in as well as her paw, her tail motionless behind her as she felt something squirm beneath her paw. She gave a smirk and pulled back revealing a well concealed rabbits nest. She stuck her paw inside and swiped it back, bringing back three of the kits inside. (Yes, baby rabbits are called kittens, kits.) She grabbed the small, helpless thing and bit its head quickly, soon with the prize of three easily caught bunnies.

(Hehe sorry of that was rude to her )

Hawk noticed the hole dug up by Blackpaw. She nodded to her. "Hmm,good job. Want to go on somewhere else?" She stood up and watched her apprentice carefully. Her fur flying the breeze. She didn't move a muscle.

Stick watched as the black one killed a small rabbit. "You should have just left it. If you did,it would grow and mean more prey in the forest." He watched Hawk as she observed her. His eye twitched and he snorted.

Blackpaw lookd at Stick, her prize in her mouth, she put it down carefully and looked up at him. She gave him a stern glare and walked behind the tree, and pushed something out, a half eaten rabbit carcass remained. "They weren't going to survive alone..." She flicked her ear in annoyance, had he not noticed the dead rabbit there? Obviously not. Her gaze turned then to Hawk and acknowledged her comment, she shrugged, "whichever." Her voice still bored.

Hawkpool nodded. "Alright lets continue." She then growled at both of them. "Without any arguing." She turned and trotted to their next destination.

Stick growled and stalked after Hawk. His tail pricked up in anger. He heard her last retort. I doubt thats impossible with that brat.

Blackpaw stayed behind slightly and smirked. Once they were out of ear shot she cursed loudly, "Fox dung! That stupid dog is nothing but a mouse brain." She smirked a bit more, "And I argue when, where, and whomever i wish to argue with." She flicked her tail and picked up the rabbits, following those she saw as brainless.

Crystalpaw appearerom the bushes her ice blue eyes filled with tears. She clawed her way up the trunk and got onto the branch near the owls hollow. She sobbed quietly to herself. Everyone would think that she was pathetic!

Blackpaw nosed around the tree, it was the first place she had come to so she searched here first. Her nose led her to the scent of Crystalpaw leading her up the tree. Black however, didn't even try to climb it. "Crystal?" Her voice was soft as she put her two front paws against the trunk. She didn't expect an answer, maybe a muffled airy whimper or the sound of her sister moving. The sadness in the air made her pelt stand on end as she continued to search the tree for the pelt.
