"The Dream"

It seemed like only moments, but it could have been hours since he had passed out. Waking up, Shadestar's head felt sore, perhaps where he hit it? He felt groggy as well. Wondering what even happened, he stood up shakily, putting one foot on the rock one by one and standing up. What met his eyes scared him to his core.

The wolves were all collapsed as if they were dead. Every single wolf. What could have even caused this? But that wasn't what alarmed him the most. All the trees, all the foliage, everything.... Was burnt to ash. Gone, like that. He couldn't have been out that long could he? Stepping down from the rock, he trotted to the edge of the clearing. Something didn't feel right here, as though it was a dream, though it felt real enough certainly. It was just something didn't fit right in his mind. Perhaps he was just attempting to cope with what happened. All of his home, everyones home, gone in the course of a second. What the heck was going on? Confused, he ran back to the rock and stood there, his golden gaze protectively watching the rest of the collapsed wolves, especially the ShadowClan ones. They would have to come together, whether they wanted to or not.

Squirrelpup woke in the fourtrees and sat in the Shadowclan corner beside all the pups. He saw lots of wolves from other clans, and his green eyes scanned the other pups, warriors, and apprentices. Someday I'll be fighting them, he thought.

The female leader awoke at the riverbank, and gave a subtle yawn. Glancing over from side to side, Lilystar realized that Shadestar had accompanied them. Getting up on all fours, the leader of Riverclan stretched once and padded over to Shadestar. "What do you mean by don't fit?" She inquired, her voice still a tad groggy from the nap she had took.

Jaystreak struggled to find her deputy. Suddenly her pelt standed out. Soon, she padded toward CherryBlossom. "What shall we do?"

Jetpup had resorted to cowering behind the large rock when he first woke up, not knowing what happened or how. Neither did he know what to do, so he stayed behind the rock and hopefully out of view, though he still listened intently to the discussions going on around him. Then, when the new ThunderClan deputy awoke and JayStreak went over to her, Jetpup reared around the rock and sprinted towards them both. Ears pinned to his skull, he sat down awkwardly next to Cherryblossom, directing his wide, fearful eyes up to her face in question.

She looked at Jaystreak "I think for now, we should just stick with this lot, whethr we like them or not, safety in numbers after all and theres only three of us..." she sighed, before looking at Jetpup. "I'll try to keep you both safe too." she said, still really confused as to what was going on.

Squirrelpup wandered around not noticing the absense of plants, as it was sometimes this way in Shadowclan. When he got to the fourtrees sopt, he yelled,"Who calls this Fourtrees? It's proper name should be fourstumps!"

Snakepup woke up groaning. "what happened?" then he noticed shadestar and most of the other wolves were gone. "sh-shadestar?" he called scared. he looked over seeing some other wolves waking up too.

(We are wolves and we are just at a river not riverclan camp but you can go if you like)

Nightfeather woke with a start, a result of the dreams that had both confused and terrified her. To make matters worse, the forest had changed. Gone were the leafy trees and green grass. The trees were scorched and black, and the grass was a burnt, dead-looking colour. She looked around and, having woken up a bit later than most, was surprised to see that many of the other wolves were already up and trying to determine what had happened, and what to do about it. Confused and scared, she decided to stick by the other ShadowClan members, figuring that staying by the ones she knew and (somewhat) trusted would be the best course of action. She knew that she wouldn't be of much use to the other wolves, who were trying to decide what to do. Keeping her mouth shut, she simply followed the others wolves to the river, still trying to stay near her Clan members.

Jaystreak nodded to her Deputy then dipped her head. She glanced around and said, "We should follow the clans to the river shoreline. We will be more protected there. Especially with pup around, we should not take any chances." Jaystreak hoped the Deputy knew what she was doing.

Stonestar did nothing, but watch as one by one the majority of the wolves that were previously here disappeared in search of some sort of water source. Even Shadestar, had decided to follow along the others, but it was clear he was not in the best of moods. At the moment clans were still mixed together, but Stonestar was certain everyone knew how quickly that could change. The simplest of things could set one against another, and cause bloodshed…none of them needed at the moment.

Wordlessly, Stonestar looked around and considered his options. “It appears; even the leaders of the other clans have left some of their clan behind.” He finally said, his words directed toward Owlfrost, but they could probably reach whoever else was nearby. Stonestar, decided that he would not leave any of his clanmate’s behind…nor would he leave behind anyone else still asleep. “We will wait,” Stonestar added on though this time his words were directed more toward the members of his own clan. The other clans had been split apart, but his would stay and remain intact.

Those who were not of his clan could either wait, or he would point them in the direction of their leaders and they could brave the strange darkness of this world by themselves. “When I went to get my nine lives from Starclan and officially be seen as the new leader of Windclan…I saw something. Like a vision of sorts, or maybe it was a warning? I’m not entirely sure, but whatever you want to call it….I thought it only pertained to Windclan.” He began, his eyes steadily holding Rosepup as she approached. “The image was horrible, blood stained the ground and the bodies of wolves were everywhere.” He continued, but his words died down in tone and he was no longer focused on Rosepup, but instead he looked toward Owlfrost. “Do, you think…” The Windclan leader paused, unable to finish his words.

Jaystreak heard the Wind Clan leader speak of a sign from Star Clan. The words went through her mind and thoughts of worriness had captivated her mind. She looked around silently making sure no clan thinks of attacking ThunderClan.

Jetpup stayed near Cherryblossom, considering that she was the highest rank of the ThunderClan around and because of how safe he felt with her. He was currently cowering almost behind the Deputy, ears pinned and back hunched as he sat. His tail was wrapped tightly around his legs and it took all of the strength he had in his little body not to shake.

Jaystreak perked her white ears to catch any sound or conversation that seemed out of placement. Her smallish body was in a lowered position as she tried to grasp the reality of what was going on. Only if she would know, then she would be much calmer. She ran those words said by the Wind Clan Leader through her mind. She mumbled, "The bodies everywhere had already happened. But what would cause the blood everywhere?"

Squirrelpup went along with his Clanmates. He followed aimlessly, wondering about what to do. Are the camps and territories dead, he wondered?

Owlfrost nodded at Stonestar's first comment, her gaze drifting around where a few wolves remained sleeping and some wandered off toward the traveling scents of those who had already left. Yes, some had indeed left their clanmates behind in setting out for the river. Not for the first time did Owlfrost feel grateful that Stonestar was her leader and she was a warrior of WindClan: he would not have ever left a Clanmate behind. When he stated that they would wait, she nodded her agreement, settling back onto her haunches and giving the approaching Rosepup an affectionate lick between the ears, the slightest smile tugging at her lips at the young females words.

Stonestar's words brought her back into focus though, ears swiveling and head turning to the male. Those same ears laced back against her head in concern as he shared the vision he had received. Blood stained ground? Bodies littering the land? That had not happened, terrifying and strange though the current events indeed were. Would it still in the future? Taking a deep breath, thinking though her words, the female replied quietly, seriously, "Those things have not come to pass, these events are so different." Her pale eyes swept the changed landscape. "Perhaps they're just a sign of would could happen, if we don't move forward on the right path from this?"

She didn't know really, though certainly she hoped that were the case. "After all, StarClan wouldn't send you a sign of something we had no control over. There'd be no point in warning against what can't change."

With a tiny twitch of his ear, the pup continued looking around nervously - the pup had tried staying near his clanmates, but it was rather hard to do with all the wolves around. All of the scents seemed to be mixed together.

Lightningpaw heard her name being called and turned to find where it had come from. She saw Moolightmelody looking around and Lightning knew that she had called her. After all, the older she-wolf was her mentor. She broke away from Apachepaw and the others and padded over to her mentor. "Yes?" She asked once she reached the warrior. Her tail twitched and her ears swiveled behind her. The sudden trees and plants being burned to a crisp had made her somewhat alert though not scared. In fact, she was itching to figure out what had happened and if there was something she could fight. Now that Moonlightmelody had called her over, she wondered if the warrior would train her now or just try and get to know her. Yet she voiced none of this and instead waited to see what the older wolf would say.
