Old RiverClan Camp

First topic message reminder :

A camp is a site where a Clan makes its permanent home. It is where the wolves sleep, meet, bring fresh-kill,get treated for injuries or illness, receive orders, and make reports to the Clan leader or deputy. Some wolves, such as queens, kits and elders stay in the camp, while the warriors, deputy and leader patrol the territory and hunt. Each Clan has one camp.

Despite the fact that RiverClan and ShadowClan had combined, both camps are still used frequently by each Clan.

Stoatpup glanced at Sandpup as she had come over to the camp entrance. "Silverheart told Fangpup to guard the camp; and I decided to help. I won't let anything get past me into the camp!" The orange pup said proudly. "I'm allowed to be here; don't worry about that. You can help, if you want." Stoatpup added, looking back at RiverClan's territory to make sure everything was alright before he looked back at Sandpup.

"Wow sounds pretty fun!" She barked and smiled. Then her ears shot up as she heard him say she could help. "Really you don't think Silverheart would mind?" She said wagging her tail happily.

Stoatpup nodded as Sandpup had said it was fun to guard the camp. "Yes, it really is fun. I don't think Silverheart would mind; the more guarding the camp, the better!" He added, looking back at RiverClan's territory.

Fangpup had been guarding the camp, with his chest puffed out and his fur standing on end, as his partner in crime was talking to Sandpup. Though when he suggested for her to help, the pup flicked his ear, and said nothing as he continued to guard. 'Soon, I'll be the one out there, not guarding...' He thought.

"Ok if you say so!" She grinned while taking a spot just outside of the entrance. Holding her chin high and stiffening her legs. Watching the territory and sniffing for predators or anything different. Flicking her ears and the sound of birds fluttering in the treetops that glowed a deep golden green.

Stoatpup scented at the air, wondering if anything dangerous was nearby. Not scenting anything that would be harmful towards the Clan, he glanced at the other two pups. "I can't wait until I'm made an apprentice." The orange-furred pup said excitedly. "I wonder who my mentor will be; I don't mind who mentors me, as long as I get to become an apprentice!" The pup thought about being promoted in rank, forgetting to guard the camp for a moment.

Fangpup looked over at Stoatpup, who seemed to be dreaming about the life of an apprentice. To be honest, the pup himself was excited- though at the same time he wasn't. Maybe he didn't want to leave the life of a pup behind. Maybe Fangpup didn't want to become Fangpaw. Shoving those thoughts aside, Fangpup gave his friend a stare. "Keep it down- will ya?! You'll scare the prey within 50 meters away!"

Stoatpup glanced at the other pup. "We weren't looking for prey, though, you know." He replied, though scented at the air to see if he could catch the scent of any prey. "I think I scent some birds... not like we'd be able to catch those. They'd either currently be in a tree, or would fly up to one right after we went near them." Stoatpup sighed, and returned to guarding the camp; though still thought about how he'd be able to catch a bird once he became Stoatpaw.

Fangpup rolled his eyes. "But what if that patrol is hunting on their way back?" He asked back, with a flick of his ear in annoyance. Though as of right now, he could be hunting as no one was watching them. Lifting his muzzle into the air, the pup took a deep breath in, and released the air out through his mouth. He had caught scent of a mouse nearby, though he didn't know where. If only he had the skills of an apprentice...

Stoatpup shrugged, looking at Fangpup. "Well, if they're hunting... we'd scent them, right?" The pup glanced at the grassy ground; he could tell the wind was blowing towards the camp, so he would be downwind of the patrol, at least for the moment. "Okay, I'll be quiet." He said, watching as Fangpup seemed to be scenting the air for prey that would be near.

She sighed and stood stretching, she wandered quietly out of camp, she had heard other warriors talking about this place called sunningrocks while she was younger and she had wanted to explore. so she left camp and trotted towards the river following her nose.

Fangpup caught scent of a mouse, and sighed seeing as he couldn't go anywhere. "When do you think they'll be back?" He inquired his fellow guarding friend. It was getting boring just sitting there and watching, since there were probably no dangers around.

Stoatpup glanced at Ripplepup as she had left the camp, before looking back at Fangpup. "Sometime soon, I'd hope." The orange-furred pup said in reply. "I wish there was something to do... perhaps the Clan would like it if we hunted something?" Stoatpup didn't really know much on hunting; he'd tried practicing hunting with leaves before, even though the wind would usually blow them away before he'd catch one.

Fangpup nodded at his idea. "We could tryy." He told his friend before standing up and stretched before going into a sloppy stalking position, and followed the scent of the mouse he had scented earlier. His turquoise eyes darting at a shuffle of leaves, he had spotted the mouse. Smirking along with his tail swishing evenly, the pup was about a tail-length away before pouncing sloppily and missing the mouse within a long shot. Of course, it had scurried away as well. "Darn it."

Stoatpup watched as the other pup had tried hunting; though ended up missing the mouse. "At least you tried." The pup said to Fangpup, letting out a yawn. A vole caught Stoatpup's attention, and he crouched down, slowly moving past the camp entrance towards it. Stoatpup got ready to leap, when he stepped on a branch; it ended up breaking and the vole bolted away. Stoatpup chased after it; he wasn't a very fast runner, however, and the vole soon was out of reach. Letting out a growl, Stoatpup trotted back to the camp entrance. "That didn't work, either." The orange pup sighed, sitting down, his dark blue eyes glancing back past the camp as he remembered he was supposed to be on guard for the Clan.

The male pup huffed and sat back at his post while he watched the other pup walk away, stalking another piece of prey. But of course, he Stoatpup had finished sloppily as well. It was just the inexperience. Once they become apprentices, he'll show them all on what he can do. Though that seemed to be a forever away. Fangpup yawned, still wondering what can take them so long. It's not like there was bunches of twolegged stuff clogging the river... Or is there? Looking over at his friend, the pup narrowed his eyes at him.

"Feeling like going on an adventure?." He asked with a smirk slowly forming on his lips. Most of the warriors were at the river, so no one can stop them from leaving camp. Plus, Ripplepup left to go there too, and she wasn't sent back. So they MUST need help over there; so why not go help?

Stoatpup looked out past the camp, glancing at Fangpup as the other pup had looked at him. "An adventure to where, exactly?" The orange pup asked, before he realized Fangpup must have meant somwehere away from the clearing. "Oh, sure; where should we go, to the river?" Stoatpup thought about where the river might be; he could still scent the other warriors, though, so they'd most likely be able to follow where they'd went.

The pup smiled as Stoatpup got his idea on going to the river as well. They seem to think alike. Fangpup stood up and fluffed his fur, before stretching and looking back at the entrance of the camp. The side that he was standing at was the opposide end of the river, so she pup pretended to walk up to his friend and tell him something, though instead Fangpup ran past his friend and towards the river. Hopefully Stoatpup had the brain to know that he needed to follow.

Stoatpup watched as Fangpup had walked over to him, than had ran away from the clearing. He blinked, wondering if he were supposed to follow after the other pup. Fangpup said we were going to explore, he wouldn't just run off for no reason at all. The orange pup thought. He ran after Fangpup, trying to sprint as fast as he was able to.

Sandpup stood there dumb founded and lost. "What about me?!" She whined bounding aftter them curiously. She could smell the scent of the warriors that had gone. Was it safe out there? she thought to herself. Before looking back up at the other pups as they headed towards the river.

Silverheart padded past Sandpup and nudged her flank softly. Then nodding she looked beck to see Ripplepup only a few fox-lengths behind her. She whipped around and made her way towards the fresh kill pile and took a small bird and layed in the evening light. She longed to curl up in the warriors den and sleep until dawn tomorrow. But she vowed to take midnight watch on camp and then go hunting at dawn. So as she finished her meal she began grooming herself while laying by the log. After her pelt was now back to its glossy steel silver she took a nap in the den.

Sneezing ripplepup miserably made her way into camp then sat down, she sighed glancing over at stoatpup, he was probbaly goin to be made an apprentice soon, all of the other pups probbaly and then she would be alone in the nursery. lowering her head she made her way into the nursery.

Graystar trotted into the camp, letting out a sigh of relief. The river probably would be fine, so now she could focus on other Clan-related things. For one, new apprentices needed to be named. "I'll wait until everyone is back at camp." The leader said to herself, laying down near her den.

Stoatpup padded back into the camp, sitting down. He glanced over at Ripplepup as he saw her look at him. "Hi Ripplepup!" The pup said, walking over to the nursery.

The pup had arrived back at camp a while back, and during that time he had been munching on a mouse he had picked from the freshkill pile. Hearing Graystar say something about waiting, Fangpup got his excitement get the best of him, and his imaginative brain working for some reason, thinking that there would be a ceremony, and he would be an apprentice. But in reality, it could be anyone.
