Old RiverClan Camp

First topic message reminder :

A camp is a site where a Clan makes its permanent home. It is where the wolves sleep, meet, bring fresh-kill,get treated for injuries or illness, receive orders, and make reports to the Clan leader or deputy. Some wolves, such as queens, kits and elders stay in the camp, while the warriors, deputy and leader patrol the territory and hunt. Each Clan has one camp.

Despite the fact that RiverClan and ShadowClan had combined, both camps are still used frequently by each Clan.

Raven stalked in, disliking all the high water that surrounded the camp, her pelt already wet. "Ugh why did Riverclan love water so much, med and dark forests are better." She muttered under her breath. Her parents had been Shadowclan, so she was all Shadowclan and she preffered the marshes and mushy ground for expanses of water any day. She looked around the camp, it looked empty and sad. Without activity she guessed there couldn't be more. The dark brown fae walked up next to Cougarpup and glanced around. "Riverclan camp, I thought it'd be different. But then again, nothing is as it seems is it?"

The large pup shrugged "i had no idea what to expect, it seems lonley" she lashed her tail and stretched a little before glancing at the other pup "well this one sucks how about the shadowclan camp?" browny-gold eyes glittered with slight amusement. They had this gaze that was like she could see through the other pups facade of not caring.

Raven liked that idea way better. Shadows and trees, not water and fish smells. But she couldn;t leave this place without exploring first. Smirking slightly she shook her head, "Not yet, c'mon. WE can't just leave without exploring. She padded through the camp and poked her head into the old leader's den and wrinkled her nose, "Smells like fish... and sand." She climbed all the way in, and looked around in slight wonder. She didn;t like the idea of being leader, maybe it was her non caring attitude or the thought that she couldn't stand so many complaints and voices at once. She shivered at the thought, well she'd never be leader so what was she fretting about?

Cougar nodded and followed her she stood beside the smaller wolf shuddering "the only good thing about being leader is that you'd get a den all to yourself" She grinned her tail wagging a little. She sniffed the air and recoiled a little "what is it with riverclan and smelling like fish! ew" she made a face "who would want to eat fish gross" she stuck out her pink tongue a little amusedly.

"They say the same about frogs, but i don't see why. Frogs are delicious." She allowed a smirk to tug at the edges of her muzzle before fading, "Being leader sounds boring, you say yes and no, order others around, and never leave camp. If you ask me I bet the last time our leaders left camp was for a gathering and probably not even to that." She snorted slightly and looked around the den, "this seems lonelier than the whole camp combined, what if the leader has no mate?" She shook her head, what was she talking about? Mates? when did that come into question? The female shook her head and backed out.

Cougarpup shrugged and rolled her shoulders "i don't think that having a mate is for me" she raked her claws through the dirt "males seem to be obsessed with themselves, unless its creekfire having a thing for that thunderclan wolf who can't speak" she lashed her tail her eyes narrowed, creekfire was a traitor in her books. She shook her thick fur and backed out of the leaders den, she stared around the camp then made her way toward the medicine den, she stuck her head in and sneezed as some of the minty smelling herbs got sucked up her black nose. Her goldeny brown eyes glanced over at raven

Raven didn;t speak, she wasn;t sure about having a mate she was still too young but there was one thing she knew she admired Creekfire for standing up for Crystalheart. The pup rolled her head and shrugged, "I don't know, Creekfire is really nice when he does that and without him poor Crystalheart would be food for the buzzards by now." The pup scampered after Cogar and peered inside the medicine den taking in the scent with glee, "Oh herbs don;t they smell wonderful?" For a biut she dropped her serious act and let herself feel and show emotion.

Cougar shrugged and said "i suppose you're right about that Raven, not many stormclan wolves apart from Graystar would be like that to otherclanners" she sniffed the air and grinned she dove into the den and nosed through the herbs "im Cougarfang and im a medicine wolf! with my trusty apprentice Raven" she grinned at Raven she liked the quiet and controlled pup she let her tail wag a little.

Raven raised her eye arches and shook her head. "Apprentice? You would make me an apprentice?" She shook her head once more, the bored look returning to her as she shrugged, "Fine." The pup walked over to the herb storage and fumbled through a few berries, dark ones, blue ones, red ones. She prodded the red ones and sniffed them carefully. "Hmm"

Cougar grinned at raven and said "oh come on, you can be the medicine wolf if you want but i get to be a warrior then!" she bounced up and down before calming down quite abruptly. She shook out her fur and said calmly "what do you want to talk about Raven?" she tilted her head to the side watching the pup with interested eyes

Raven shook her head, she looked annoyed but she was smiling on the inside. The pup chuckled softly and looked up as Cougar stopped and asked her what to talk about. Her, raven out of all wolves! The pup perked her ears, "I umm... I don't know. I usually don't get asked that...

The pup looked shocked "Well you have someone asking now!" she grinned happily, wether raven liked it or not they were friends now and Cougar didn't let her friends get left out wether they liked it or not. in rainy days or sunny days. Cougar grinned saying "everyone has something to say"

Raven smirked slightly, Cougar was her friend now and she understood that very well. The feeling was unusual, the feeling of a friend. She didn;t have her mother and her father was out of the question so this new feeling of friendship though strange was welcome. The pup scampered out of the medicine den and nodded, "I guess I do and it is: Riverclan is so boring!" She chuckled slightly before stopping and resuming her "serious" facade.

She followed her and nearly fell over her feet laughing "thats true! Shadowclan for ever you river clan pup!" she grinned at Raven being a proper pup again. This was fun her entire puphood she'd never had a friend. Heck she'd even been around when Dracopaw was a pup, but now she didn't care she had Raven now

Opal opened her eyes with silent annoyance, oh great more wolves to annoy her, the bejewled wolf stood and shook out long cloud like fur and turned heel. Her brilliant amber eyes staring out with annoyance as she walked away leaving pawprints behind her. She headed for the old shadowclan camp, even though she disliked shadowclan land hopefully the old camp would be a better place for her to relax by herself.

Raven chuckled softly, "I am no Riverclan pup! Both of my parents were from Shadowclan, both were proud Shadowclan wolves." She stopped there, Raven hated her story. She hated her family, she hated everything that had to do with the sense. Maybe she wasn't so into the idea of a mate either fter all. The young femme shrugged and looked at Cougar, "Well since we're out here, lets go to the Shadowclan camp. I like that waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better." She remained quite passive and calm as she hopped out.

Cougar grinned and wagged her tail a little "okay!" she danced off after her new best friend her golden amber eyes shining with brightness. She wondered where all of that stuff about having a mate had come from. She didn't want to have a mate she just wanted to be the best warrior ever

Ravenclaw muttered curses every time he brushed up against something cold and wet. Which was often. Raven finally noticed the entrance. He stood in front of it and stared at it, remembering the shells he sometimes found in the river. He bent down and sniffed at the base. He moved away a bit of brush. The entrance some how had stood after the flood with everything that was attached to it tightly. There it was. The 4 small broken piece of shells. Which all his old siblings once found in one big shell. They broke it,and gave each other one of them. They all committed to put it in the entrance. So they'd be together forever. He remembered his younger sister's voice. "If we do this,we'll be together forever right?" He missed all of them,but her especially. She was the runt,and he was the big brother she always stuck to. He always took care of her.
Raven sniffled,that's why he was annoyed so much by faes now-a-days. He didn't really want that pain again. He sniffled and pushed the moss back over the strung together shells. He then glanced at the entrance again. He took a deep breath and entered the camp. He stood in the middle. Imagining the sunny day before the flood. The medicine wolf had showed them the den that day. He entered the den and sniffed around. The bitter scent of herbs. He glanced down at the bottom. His oldest brother had eaten some poppy seeds. He faintly smelled the stale little seeds. His brother was out till the day after. The day of the flood. His face had broke into a smile,but it quickly disappeared again. Ravenclaw glanced around once again and left the den. He stared at the elder's den. They heard some good stories there. The second oldest brother had been a bit of a scardey cat,but he always loved stories. He faintly remembered the stories that they'd all know and then jump up and act them out sometimes. Some of the elder's found it annoying,but he knew it entertained their uneventful lives.
Ravenclaw sighed and glanced at the nursery. It seemed uninviting. It looked torn up,since it was left to rot away. He peered inside. The warm sun shining in. The day again. They're mom suggested they get out and play in the river. They all agreed,but his little sister was hesitant. He promised they'd be fine,but they weren't. Ravenclaw grimaced. He sat back down in the clearing. Pears stung in his eyes,but he forced them back. ...Nothing's going to change from crying. He blinked and glanced up. The river wasn't far away. The torrential splashing sounded in his ears.
