The River

Where it marks the border of Riverclan, and where most of our clanmates to come and hunt fishes during the spring. The stepping stones are only reachable in the Late Spring and Early Summer.

(I'm so sorry I took so long to reply, I got caught up in other things. Lets say he went along with the plan and hid and everything, ok?)

Snowpaw watched the twolegs clean out the river for a bit, then limped after the others.

To camp

Shadepaw was on his way to see Foxheart, the code did state they were around on another territory to talk to the medicine cats. Well he wanted to know if Foxheart had any tansy for them to borrow. He wanted it in store just in case something happened and a pup caught a cough or something, and he wasn't sure where on the territory tansy could be found if it could be found at all. He tripped on some roots near by and fell into the river. The bad thing was he couldn't swim so he gasped for air. It was harder to breathe.

Shadepaw tried to reach the surface, gasping for air at the attempts. Breathing in bits of water every time. The trip to visit a fellow medicine wolf went from good to bad instantly. He thought he was going to die from the water being breathed in.

The gurgle of the flowing water relaxed her and made thoughts drain and fade. But the same scent of Windclan and herbs streamed through her nostrils. Sighing she padded to water's edge and sat staring at her reflection. Something bobbed and thrashed in the water just a bit upstream and it seemed like a ball of fur. Scrambling over she leaped in not caring if it was a wolf from another clan. Grabbing it by the scruff its dark pelt drenched in the cool and irresistible water. Laying him down she stared at the shivering body before nudging it softly and backing away a few steps.

Shadepaw stuttered. Water coming out of his mouth as he coughed. He'd definitely need to see if Foxheart had those herbs now. He looked up, it was the Riverclan warrior he'd seen at the gathering. "T-t-thank you." He stuttered.

She dipped her head slowly and blinked as shenoticed herself staring. "No problem" she whispered softly before stepping closer slightly. "Do I need to get Foxheart?" She said looking at the ground her silver pelt glowing in the moon. Dawn light barely streaked the indigo and blue sky, and soon the sun would follow. She didn't want to get caught talking to a Windclan apprentice, and be punished for saving him.

"I-I actually had come here to see him, to see if he had tansy I could borrow, I can't seem to find any." He informed. His eyes staring off a bit to the territory, he saw some tansy there, unpicked, but to steel herbs, that was low. He looked around a bit more. His breathing was struggling.

"Oh so your a medicine wolf apprentice, correct?" She said glancing behind her noticing that he was probably looking at the patch of tansy. She didn't know much about plants or herbs but she knew a fair amount. Clearing her throat "You are free to take some I wont bite" she chuckled gesturing towards the tansy. Her tail slowly swinging back and forth hoping he would take the offer and be on his way. Taking a few steps back shooting another glance towards the borders.

Once Shadepaw was sure he'd hacked all the water from his lungs. He cold speak clearly. "Thanks, but it's not in the code. I cannot steal from another clan." He said, looking into her eyes. there it was, that strange feeling again. but what was it? He hadn't the slightest idea what it was or why it was happening.

Sighing mentally she lifted herself and nodded slowly. Flicking her tail and padding back towards camp. "Follow me" she barked before sprinting forward until the camp entrance came into sight. Skiddind to a stop she spun around and waited for the apprentice. Hopefully she could rest as soon as she made sure the clan knew what he was here for. Her paws ached from all the walking she did today without getting any sleep.

Shadepaw followed her, weakly. He had to walk as he'd used to much energy for running. He stopped a few times to catch his breathe. It was a wheeze, he knew it not to be good. With his ears a bit drooped at the thought of Skydust and Russetstar looking in a panic for him, there was no turning back now.

Nodding hoping she hadn't worked him up too much after his near drowning. She slipped quietly down the slope and through the last stretch of trees. Finally she stood at the entrance of camp taking a deep breath. Taking a glance over her shoulder before padding into camp.

Shadepaw followed her. He was nervous, even though he would technically be allowed. He continued hacking out his guts as he padded into the Riverclan Camp. He just needed some tansy from FoxHeart, then he could leave. At least he hoped they would let him leave.

SnowFlower was there when he fell in, but before he could get to him, Silvergeart, the wolf from the gathering appeared. They talked a bit and left. Considering that she was supposed to follow him, she couldn't just leave him with the Riverclan wolves,so she had no choice but to follow them into riverclan camp,"I hope accompanying the a medicine wolf apprentice to another territory doesn't count as breaking the warrior code."she said nervously.

Fangpaw had arrived at the riverbank, and looked around. There was really no one there except himself and the rushing waters ahead. Maybe a swim would get his mind off things that didn't even exist in his mind. Once again looking, he again saw no one on both sides of the river thus now positioning himself over the river. Might as well go fishing.

Once a trout swam by, the apprentice swiped a paw into the flesh of the fish, before bringing it onto shore and stepping on its side. Using his canines, Fangpaw sunk his teeth right into the neck point, leaving it dead.

The apprentice had caught about 3 fishes, and he felt proud. During his little trip, Fangpaw knew why he was so upset. He didn't know if he was ever suited to be what he was today. A 'paw'. Though after spending some time away from all the chaotic noises from the camp. the apprentice made himself believe that he could someday be a warrior just like Snowstorm and make the clan proud. And with that thought set into his brain, the candid grabbed his prey in between his jaws and set out back towards the camp.

padding up to the river she looked around for fangpaw her eyes worried a little, flicking her tail she sat down and began grooming her ruffled pelt. thoughts danced through her brain about herbs and other ideas. swishing her thick tail over the earth she shivered a little, leaf bare was coming rapidly and she hoped that she had enough herbs to see stormclan through.

Fangpaw had a little bit of a detour, but all was fine when he saw Ravenpaw grooming herself at the side. "Well here it is. Not that interesting." A cold shiver ran up his spine as a cool breeze flew by. Leafbare was approaching. Nearing the edge, the apprentice looked into the water to see fewer fish than last time, but there was still some that he could catch. Positioning himself, Fangpaw waited and waited until a rather large one swam by, and with a swift swipe of his paw, the fish was now latched onto his claws. Scooping the prey up from the freezing river, the apprentice knocked it on the ground hard; so that it would be unconscious. "Food." He smiled proudly.

Ravenpaw watched him fish with an amazed look in her pretty midnight blue eyes "wow thats amazing!" awe was evident in her voice. she shuffled over to him and inspected the fish before glancing into the river wondering if she could try doing that. her midnight blue eyes glittered with the discovery and she narrowed her eyes as the flashes in the water. readying her paw like she had seen fangpaw do she swiped at the water and fell head first into the water. spluttering she spat out water and crawled onto the river bank shivering. her thick pelt plastered to her thin frame. "not fun" she said shaking.

The apprentice smiled at her, and was about to cover it with dirt for a while, until he saw Ravenpaw trying to fish, but ended up landing in the river. Laughing as she made her way up, Fangpaw walked over to Ravenpaw and sat down beside her. "Don't worry, that happened to me before." On Fangpaw's first try, it was a failure. "You wanna go back?" He inquired, before pressing his flank against her's to warm her up a bit.

Sneezing the apprentice turned her head and pressed her face into his fur shaking quietly. Her midnight blue eyes closed as she inhaled the now familiar scent of his fur. she shook out her fur a little before snuggling close to fangpaw.

Fangpaw didn't mind her pelt being wet, mostly cause he was raised in Riverclan. "Yeah, lets head back to camp." the apprentice didn't want Ravenpaw to catch a cold, so reluctantly getting up from where he was, the apprentice took his fish in his jaw and looked back to see if she was coming with him or not.

Silentpaw padded towards the river and yawned. He spotted Ravenpaw and Fangpaw. He then slowly went in the river and practised swimming. He wasn't swift or that good but he was okay. He ignored the fact that it was freezing and then scattered up the river bank and shook his fur, shivering.

Ravenpaw smiled friendly at silentpaw nad flicked him over the ear with her tail, she seemed more distant around most wolves. flicking her ears she padded after fangpaw, wondering when graystar would be back she also had to talk to shadestar. frowning a little she trotted up to fangpaw and said "come with me back to the old shadowclan camp i also have to talk to shadestar" curling her tail over her back she turned and galloped towards her old camp

Fangpaw didn't expect for her to go to the ShadowClan camp, but whatever. They were one clan now, so might as well familiarize himself with the two camps. Trotting after the apprentice, Fangpaw followed her to the ShadowClan camp.
