Where it marks the border of Riverclan, and where most of our clanmates to come and hunt fishes during the spring. The stepping stones are only reachable in the Late Spring and Early Summer.

Ripplepup worked beside silverheart with determination, her tail flicked from side to side as she continued pushing at her stone, she grunted her musles aching with effort. a can bounced down and struck her head she gave a whine, the cans sharp edge had cut open her eyebrow, she ignored the blood beginning to run into her left eye and continued pushing, her muscles bulging under her white coat from the effort. the blood from the cut staining her white pelt red. blood drips to the earth and she slips on it, smacking her head hard on the ground. she groaned a dim ringing in her ears.

Turning to face the pup she didn't like seeing it work to hard. "Take it easy we don't need any pups getting all beat up!" She said licking the cut before sliding her stone further. Making the pile budge each time it was soon to be out of the range of the river.

While the others pushed the stone into place, Magmafeather tried to find the source of the rancid liquid. But it seemed to be coming from no source at all. Had the twolegs intentionally poisoned the river? He was scared at the very thought of it.

Ripplepup shrugged then sat down her blue eyes narrowed, she scented the air then scouted around for a bit, her ears perked and she pointted with a paw at a drain over at the side of the house that the liquid was comming from "over there Magmafeather!" she leapt over to it and frowned, she said quietly "do you think that the twolegs know about this?" she tilted her head looking over at silverheart and magmafeather.

Slipping a glance at the liquid streaming from the twoleg den. Growling softly she stalked over to it and sniffed it slowly. "They are so untidy and careless!" She yelped as the stench burned her nostrils. Frowning and hoping they could find a way to stop it fast.

Ripplepup frowned, her bright blue eyes blinking she glanced over at graystar and sighed she lowered her head "i cant think of anything to help apart from getting the two legs attention because maybe they dont know about it" she flicked her tail and lay down resting her head on her paws. black nose damp with dew from the grass. she murmured
"The river reflects our clan
it has moods
it has life
the river is the life of the clan"
she paused then stood up her eyes burning "we must save the river or our clan will crumple" her eyes glittered

Graystar had helped Silverheart and Ripplepup push against the stones, stopping when Ripplepup was injured. The RiverClan leader glanced at the Twolegnest as Ripplepup had mentioned it. "We could try covering up where that's coming from... but then there'd be the possibility of the liquid being able to come out from somewhere else. If we did that we'd need to go right up next to that Twolegnest, also... and that's really dangerous." Graystar sighed; another option was to alert the Twolegs of the posioned river. "If we howled, a Twoleg probably would come out to see what was happening. Yet that would mean being nearby a Twoleg.... Perhaps if we all hid somewhere and howled, the Twolegs could come over and see what's happened to the river water."

She dipped her head and whispered "But what if they are meaning to do this?" She blinked and shook her head bravely piping up. "I volunteer to make this known!" She said before taking a couple steps closer to the river bank. Sighing she flicked her tail nervoulsy biting her lip softly trying to make up her mind.

Fangpup arrived at the destination, and looked around. At first he didn't see anyone but the rushing water and the marshlands, and that was all he could take in before he heard voices. His head snapping over to where it came from, there were many warriors and Ripplepup. Narrowing his eyes, the pup slunk back into the shadows, or at least until he heard and saw Stoatpup. The pup himself didn't want to seem like he escaped his post and left his friend there, so he waited. And while he did, the pup watched the river rapids with extreme curiosity, as he had never seen anything like that in his life. But of course, Fangpup was only a pup. It was even stated in his name.

"Stoatpup where are youuuu." He whispered to himself. The anticipation of helping the clan was killing him internally, so he turned his whole body around to where he came from, waiting for Stoatpup to emerge any minute.

Stoatpup ran towards the river as fast as he could; he was better at strength than running so he didn't run at a very fast speed, and he slowed down his pace as he noticed the river. That's not normal... it looks so strange. He thought as he continued forward. The wind blew past him, and the pup caught scent of Fangpup. Stoatpup trotted over to his friend, stopping and making sure he wasn't able to be seen by the other warriors. "I saw the river, it looks different than the first time I saw it when I went to the Gathering." He whispered, and looked over at Graystar, the other warriors, and Ripplepup. Stoatpup glanced at Fangpup as if telling the other pup to go over to the patrol, and sprinted out from his hiding place. "Graystar! Graystar, we came to help you all!" Stoatpup barked happily as he ran over to the others.

The leader nodded to Silverheart; at least some others agreed with the plan to show the Twolegs of this. Graystar froze as she heard the bark of another pup, and glancing back downstream she saw Stoatpup sprinting towards the river. "You know you should have stayed at camp." The gray-furred wolf growled as Stoatpup had slowed to a stop, then added; "What do you mean 'we' came to help? Did another pup leave camp as well?" Graystar said, looking downstream. The leader let out another growl. "It's not safe for you to be out here... there are Twolegs nearby." The RiverClan wolf said, sighing; she knew most pups were curious and would want to know why the warriors of the Clan had been gone so long. Even she'd been an adventurous pup; yet it wasn't like she'd leave camp with no permission. "Does everyone agree we should try howling to get the Twolegs' attention? It may be dangerous with three pups, however." Graystar said, looking back at the other RiverClan wolves.

Ripplepup flicked her tail in a snort and said "they would be more likely to come out if they heard the sound of an 'injured' pup, i volunteer as i am already injured so they would want to help, two legs are stupid like that" she blinked her bright blue eyes, and glowered determindly up at graystar, she was going to help the clan weather her leader liked it or not.

She growled and froze in shock as the two pups emerged from the forest. Stoatpup and Fangpup the two pups that were put to work. She sighed and padded to Graystar's side quickly and gave a stern look at the pups. "What happens to protecting camp?" She said narrowing eyes as she shook her head. "You guys don't realize how dangerous this world is for all of us especially pups." She said sitting and licking her ruffled and slightly dirty silver pelt. Then tossing a glance to Ripplepup and barked "Well we don't know what there reaction will be" she trying to slip around the idea of putting a pup in danger.

Fangpup mentally cursed to himself as Stoatpup ran over and gave out his own hiding spot. Smart move. Rolling his eyes, the pup walked out of the darkness, to reveal himself beside Stoatpup. Might as well stand tall with his friend. The pup then listened to Graystar say something about a plan, and well, might as well agree and go along with it; since his idea generally was to help the clan out.

"Us pups are small enough to hide within bushes, so we can just hide. And if we're caught however, our teeth have grown sharp enough for us to attack." Fangpup suggested. It was true. He would do anything for the clan, and hiding was easy to do. It's not like they were going to get caught anyways, so might as well have a backup plan just in case the original plan doesn't work. His eyes then darted towards Silverheart, which made his ear flicker in annoyance. Sure, it was fun to keep guard of the entrance, though it was more exciting to be apart of this and help out. "We got bored." He replied back with a simple shrug. It was true.

Ripplepup said calmly "they would see me then i would run to the river and point at it then while they are staring at it i would hide in the bushes" she shrugged her bright blue eyes sparkling slightly if she could do this then perhaps graystar would see how brave she was.

She just laughed mentally as Fangpup spoke Try using that as an excuse during a serious ordeal she just rolled her eyes. Of course she knew they were growing restless but they didn't know how much of a risk this was. Then glancing at Graystar as Ripplepup spoke about a plan.

Ripplepup sat down and set her paws neatly infront of her, blue eyes staring at the two warriors. her tail curled around her side and rested over her black paws. she yawned showing sharp little white teeth. she shook herself and watched them carefully.

Silverheart felt her stomach growl and realized just how hungry she was. Licking her jaws she reaveled a long pink tongue and sharp pointed teeth. Snapping it shut she shook her head and stood before padding towards the forest slowly. Her senses sharp as she crouched and flattened her eats slightly wafting in the scent of prey. Mouse and a few squirrels were scented just along the roots of a large tree. Grinning as she spotted and plump grey squirrel nibbling on a nut. She slowly stalked forward her pelt ruffling as a breeze swept past her towards the squirrel. Flinching the squirrel threw its nut down and scrambled up the tree trunk. But before it was in the safety of the tree she leaped up pressing against the bark and snapping at the squirrel. Managing to grab it hind quarters and tear it from its grip. Landing on all four paws she clamped the squirrel until it stopped squirming for life.

Ripplepup watched with wide eyes, her ears twitchin as well as her tail, she gasped as she killed the squirrel "wooaah thats soo cool!" she grinned a little. her ears perked. (sorry lame i know)

Padding back to the bank she layed only a few paw lengths away. She took a gulp saving some before nudging towards the small pup. She groomed her pelt giving it a few licks before she glanced at the Twoleg den. "We need to get our plan figured out soon, before its too late.." she said nearly in a whisper. Then flicking her ears as flies played tag around her head.

Stoatpup frowned as Graystar had growled at him; the pup had thought it would be a good thing to help. He glanced at Ripplepup as she had said something about volunteering to alert the Twolegs of the river. "I'll help too! I'm not afraid of Twolegs." Stoatpup said, fluffing out his fur to look large and strong. He looked over at Silverheart as she had asked what had happened to guarding the camp. "There wasn't anything dangerous anyways. Sandpup's there, too." Waiting a few moments, the pup added; "Ripplepup's plan is nice, though two pups would capture more attention." He looked at Graystar and the other RiverClan warriors.

Graystar watched as Fangpup had walked over to the patrol of warriors, and frowned. "If you got bored guarding the camp now, what are you going to do if you become warriors? Just ignore guarding your own Clan? If there's a battle RiverClan will be in danger, or if there's a coyote, or anything." The leader glanced at Ripplepup as she had suggested going over to the Twolegs and catching their attention. Stoatpup had later on said he'd want to volunteer, as well. "That's dangerous. Most Twolegs don't seem to like wolves near their Twolegnests; plus, if there's a pup nearby, wouldn't they assume other wolves would be close as well?" Graystar said, twitching her ears. "Do you really think that plan would work, or would it only put you in harm?" The wolf looked at Ripplepup, wondering if she'd actually agree with her own idea.

She just cuffed her head and muzzle in her white paws. She blinked and shook her fur shaking of the annoyance of the pups. "I think Graystar has a point, they might think something is probably strange about a pup wandering about." She said and swished her tail on the sand softly. It was best for a swift and clever wolf to do the job this time.

The pup frowned as Graystar had almost snapped at him. Didn't she know by now that he would do anything to help?! His ear flickered in annoyance, though he refused to give up. In reality, yes, it was dangerous to make three pups do something involving those twolegs, though aren't they just wasting time? The sooner they finish with whatever plan the better. The river was a huge source of prey, and if they don't do anything soon, the fishes will just disappear immediately.

"You know, instead of telling us pups that its dangerous, maybe we should go along with the hiding plan, and we'll stop wasting time." Fangpup suggested. It was really useless to argue, as right now all he wants to do is help. When he's a warrior, he can guard the camp when ever, but now he isn't one. He's a pup. And pup's have short attention spans.

Ripplepup narrowed her eyes and said "yeah, but if i use my cute fluffy ness wouldnt they be more likley to want to see whats wrong?" she blinked earnestly she really wanted to help. a soft whine came out of her as she stared up at thetwo warriors "i really think that my plan could work"
