"Carnival"

This is a role-play event which occurs after the meeting in Fourtrees #2.

An abandoned carnival sits here, forlorn and with an unwavering silence that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand straight up on end. In the center of the carnival sits a tall pole- and, at the top, a flag- the flag which originally caught the attention of the wolves at the Gathering. Now that the meeting was over, Shadestar led a group to this place in order to investigate and hopefully put a stop to any Twoleg activity. However, it seems like there hasn't been any for an extended period of time. There's an old, run-down ferris wheel and a couple wooden rollercoaster, as well as a funhouse and some booths- one for selling tickets, many for receiving prizes, and many old food and beverage booths. There is a sign in front of the entrance- CAUTION, NO TRESPASSING- but of course the wolves cannot understand and enter anyway. As you walk in, it seems at the corner of your eye you see a light flicker. Turning, you only see the broken, shattered bulb of an old colored bulb that decorated the carnival itself. How curious... and also, how creepy. Something doesn't feel right- something must have happened here.

Russetstar raised his eyebrows. "Okay Shadestar," he replied, swishing his tail back and forth. "I'll have a chat with Tallpaw, when we get out of this place." He thought Shadestar was overreacting somewhat, but he kept his opinions to himself.

Still surly with anger, Tallpaw passed his mentor without acknowledging him or the words he'd heard him say. Tallpaw wasn't looking forward to any lecture or punishment that may come his way, both of which he was expecting, but at the moment he really didn't care. Tallpaw sulked to the back of the group and sat down, watching in disinterest as wolves from different clans contemplated the escape route they were building out of here.

Rainpup watched with interest watching an apprenice and other wolves stack some wooden crates. She stepped out of the shadows to watch even more closely.

"It seems like we have a complication." Shadestar said, glancing at Skypaw. "Her leg is injured so she cannot jump over the fence; she is too big to climb underneath it either." He was not sure what the next course of action should be for the stubborn wolf. "Apprentices and up can begin jumping over the fence. Once one Warrior is over, pups can begin crawling underneath. Let's make this quick." He said, glancing at the sky and noticing the sun rising and beginning its journey across the sky. He turned to look at the WindClan apprentice, sitting in the back of the group. "Tallpaw can go first." he said coldly.

Lightningpaw saw Shadestar preparing to have the apprentices and warriors jump the fence. She barked and dashed to them. "I think i have an idea that might take away the risk of some of us getting injured when we make the jump." She said, standing right in ront of Shadestar, a daring move considering the leader was already a little tense from seeing Sky and Tall so close together and not where they were suppose to be. Her head was lower than his and her eyes sent no challange. She simply wanted to prove she had ideas fit for a warrior. Er, uh, I mean, wanted to make sure o the safety of her clan. /Yeah, that's right.../ She waited, hoping Shade would not flick his tail and push her words aside.

Tallpaw ignored Lightningflash as she darted forward to speak to Shadestar and shouldered past them both, eyes still glimmering with defiance. "My pleasure" He said loudly, and hopped up onto the series of crates that lead to the top of the fence. He felt a bit queasy at the top, looking down at the ground so far away, but Tallpaw certainly wasn't going to back down now, especially not with Shadestar below him. Bunching his legs beneath him, he sprung over the top of the fence and landed on the ground; his legs staggered as they took all his wake and he nearly tumbled over, but managed to stay upright and turned around, waiting for everyone else.

Lightningpaw glanced back as Tallpaw made the jump. owever, after noting he was fine, she turned back to Shadestar. "Well one apprentice made it. If you have any doubts as to whether it's truly safe, I still have an idea." he said then padded back to the plank she had seen earlier. She jumped on the crate and sat there, watching everyone and keeping an eye out for stragelers or other pups who would decide to sneak off. /If some pup decides to try and sneak off again I'll makesure to bring them back./ she thought to herself, her uniquely blue eyes scanning the area.

Rainpup stood up and waited for her turn. She wagged her tail happy to get out of this place.

Shadestar watched the apprentice leap off of the crate and onto the other side. At least now they're on opposite sides- like they always will be. he thought to himself, removing his glare from the apprentice and moving it onto the other ShadowClan apprentice before him. He realized that she was not the one whom he was angry at, and dropped the expression from his face. "Well then what is your idea? I don't have all day." he snapped, his tail swishing back and forth. His gaze softened further. "Sorry." he muttered.

Lightningpaw caught hisapology and replied swiftly after he said sorry. "There's some strange flat tree thing over there." She said, indicating with her muzzle to where the board was lying against another crate. "It's not too heavy. If we can get it up onto these crates, we can slide it down the other side and make it like ahill or something. So that we don't have to jump, we can walk down. It's wide enough for an adult olf and stands me even jumping on it." She said quicky and knowingly. She nudged him slightly and darted to where the board lay, one side touching ground and the other against the crate. She stopped by it. "Maybe three or four of us could carry it and ten slide it up over the other side." She added, hoping her idea was a good one.

Rainpup ignored everyone else she just wanted to get out. She wagged her tail happily and waited.

Lightningpaw noticed the cautious look in Grayhearts eyes. She nearly rolled her eyes but stopped herself. "Or instead of carrying it we could..." She faded her voice and then set to work. She picked up the one end of the plank and pushed it slightly, making it lay flat on the crate. he then pushed on the crate so that it moved like the others had. She looked at them. "Instead of carrying it we could just push it and this crate over to the fence then get it to slide the other side." She said, liking that Grayheart at least seemed to like the idea.

"Yes, I have to agree. Definitely not a tree Moonpup." Said Shadepup.

(Meh, I think im just going to wait untill this is over and just rp in Windclan territory, if thats OK)
"I wonder what it is then..." She sat down at the botton of the pole and sighed.

Heatherpup watched as the wolves did what they needed to do and found her tail beggining to swish happily at the prospect of getting out of this place.

Shadestar nodded his head and followed her, pushing the board up. Joined by other wolves, they managed to slide it down the other side, as if a ramp. "Okay. Pups go underneath the fence. Apprentices and up over it." Shadestar went behind Skypaw and lightly pushed her with his nose, signifying that he wished to go over. "Everyone meet back at the Fourtrees." he said.

(I'll just stick with Russetpup until we're out of the Carnival, ignore the other posts.)

Russetpup nodded to Shadestar, already going through the hole. "Come on guys," he called over his shoulder to the other WindClan members before he emerged the other side.

(Off to Fourtrees).

Shadepup was confused so much that he just went back to fourtrees.

Heatherpup wriggled through the hole after Russetpup and gave a little sigh of relief to get out of the eerie place.

Lightningpaw smile, glad her dea was a good one and seemed to go well. She hung back for a moment, looking around for any stragelers. Finally, seeing that Heatherpup, Shadepup, Russetpup, and Tallpaw were already on the other side, she padded forward and climbed the crates, taking her turn. She got down the other side with agile ease and padded away from the ramp, closer to Tallpaw and the others. She glanced around slightly. /I'm the only Shadowclan wolf on this side./ she thought.

Rainpup looked for an open spot and quickly wriggled under the fence too. She bounced happily to be out of the dreaddful place. She sat down and waited for everyone else.
