Shadowstorm stood up, he was Direstar's former apprentice and he knew him well. "I will tell dire, I think he needs to know, I've known my former mentor a long time. I can tell him." He offered, his eyes full of compassion. I've had the one I love die before. I know how hard it will be on him. His eyes clouded with sorrows he tried to forget. "Isenfire." He whispered to himself. Unsure if others could hear him.

Hearing mumbling in the background,the fae twitched. She smelled something cold and dark.(Moonwhisper) She felt it was furry. She whimpered and fumbled away. She couldn't see. She tried to twitch her ears but they didn't do anything. She then smelled for something. Something milky and comforting. She smelled something warm. She made her way slowly to it. She bumped into it. (Ebonyfur's leg) She then wrapped around it trying to get warm.

PLEASE DONT RP THE PUPS UNTILL I HAVE RETURNED AND NAMED THEM

Streakfire pads back into camp. She walks to Oakthorn. "Hey! Umm, do you wanna go hunting?" She smiled.

Oakthorn licked streakfires cheek and said "i cant im sorry, moonwhisper gave birth to the pups and died in the process, could you perhaps nurse them? Ebonyfur says that you could probbaly give milk with the help of borage". he flicked his tail and twined it around streakfiress. his Yellow eyes affectionate.

"I guess I could..." She looked down. "Can I ask you something?" She looked up and smiled at him affectionately.

Oakthorn said "streakfire i have something i want to ask of you first, i want to know if you would like to be my mate.... He stared at streakfire with affection, his yellow eyes gentle and kind. his long tail wagged a little as he waited for her reply. the silver bangle on his left left leg jingled a little.

Direstar padded into camp and smiled at his clanmates. he tilted his head noticing a general tension in the air. he flicked his tail and looked around for nightfrost. he gave an impatient sigh noticing that she wasnt there. he walked over to where the others were outside the warriors den. he flicked his tail as it began to rain outside the cave. "whats going on?" he asked curiously.

Direstar as soon as he heard what Stoatblaze said his face completly changed, he began shaking a little and raced towards the nursery. he cried "moonwhisper!", he pushed his way into the nursery and stopped seeing the pups nursing at moonwhispers lifeless form. his tail tucked under him and tears began dripping from his eyes. he silently shook before he curled up around his pups. he saw himself reflected in all of them as well as moonwhisper. he gently licked their heads as he murmured "you will be pinepup" to the red pelted pup, his eyes began to dry a little, he glanced at the silver pup and smlied "thistlepup..", as he looked he saw a larger pup that was a brilliant yellow. "you my son will be sunpup". he smiled noticing a blackpup and said "fernpup and tinypup". a many coloured pup nipped at him and he smiled "cloverpup.." he looked at the last pup and murmured "Brackenpup". his eyes dulled and he stayed there staring at the litter of pups.

"What happened to Moonwhisper Direstar",I ask my leader. I then look and see a little black pup I say,"Wow they are amazing."I then start to back away seeing how upset Dire was.

The pup wriggled against the belly of his mother whos body had since gone cold. Thistlepup whined for milk and for warmth. It was horribly cold, despite being beside his brother and sisters. The small pup could feel a figure standing up above him, despite his eyes not being able to open as he had been so recently born. His mewls became louder as his gray body began to shiver.

Swiftpup looks at the little gray pup and nuzzles it I ask Direstar,"Do you want me to keep the pups warm for you?" I then look at the pups. I have grown attracted to the black pup.

Feeling a cold body. She scented milk. She whimpered,and fumbled away. She bumped into another figure. (Direstar)She yearned for warmth. She shivered,and pushed into its fur. She whimpered. She felt hungry. Her eyes were dark. And pawed at the top of her head. She felt pointy things. She then tried to move them. She then gave up on it,and tried to fall asleep. With her tiny belly growling.

Shadowstorm went and sat by Direstar, he knew what kind of pain the leader must be going through. "I'm sorry about Moonwhispeer. But I know how you feel. It was like what I felt with Isenfire, I'm here for you." He said, his eyes full of sorrows for the loss of his leader.

Brackenpup squirmed and made his way over to Direstar. He couldn't see and he went to the nearest warmth that he could find. He curled up by his father. He fell asleep and was thirsty. He tried to find his mother for milk, but as soon as he had found his father, he gave up and went to sleep.

Direstar was deaf to the words of swiftpup, he curled his body tighter around all of his pups.he said in a numbvoice "in the name of starclan as nightfrost has not been seen for a moon, i dub Shadowstorm deputy in her place". he then moved the pups around and buried his nose in them. racking sobs shaking his body. he was happy yet miserable, proud yet desolate. he should have been here to help ebonyfur it was all of his fault.

Sunpup squirmed and complained loudly for milk, he was hungry and this big warm fluffy thing didnt have any. he kicked at his brothers and sisters grumpily then stopped as he felt a nose against him. with a bat of his paw he shoved the nose away with a grunt.

Shadowstorm was shocked as he was named deputy. He could tell his leader needed time and space. He respectfully licked Direstar's shoulder and padded over to his brother, hs eyes wide open in shock. He gave a nod to his former apprentice.
