ThunderClan Camp

Subject: ThunderClan Camp Sat Nov 03, 2012 7:43 pm

First topic message reminder :

The camp entrance is well hidden by brambles, which protect the camp from predators, but doesn't stop sunshine from coming in. A ravine leads through it. This ravine was once a river, but it is now dried up. The way into the camp is through the gorse tunnel. The nursery has thick bramble walls and is the most guarded part of the camp. Behind a tree stump, there is a clump of ferns where the apprentices sleep. Warriors sleep under a bush in another tunnel. Inside the camp, there is a fallen tree where the elders sleep, and the senior warriors sleep in the center of the camp. Across the clearing, a smooth tall rock resides. This is called the Highrock, and the leader stands there to make important speeches.The leader's den is in a cave in the rock which was carved out by an ancient stream. Lichen covers the entrance.The last notable feature in the camp is a fern tunnel that leads to a crack in a rock. This is the medicine wolf's den.

Eviepaw had allowed a small huff to escape her. She seemed lost, like her mind was else where. Rising to her paws she had glanced to everyone else running about amuck. /Perhaps I should just stay to my self?/ She had thought out loud somewhat. Bounding for the apprentice den she had sauntered. Her head was low and her ears were pressed towards her cranial. When was she suppose to be made a warrior? Was she even capable of being one? Questions flowed through her mind as her lids slowly closed shut. Her tail curling about her snout.

Echosong shifted on her paws. "Alright. I will go meet him there." She was slightly annoyed that he never told her he was leaving, but shrugged it off. Leaving the traveling herbs in the medicine den, she nodded to Streak. "I'm sorry, nice talking to you." Brushing past the camp entance, she bounded away.

A slight stir had awaken Eviepaw from her slumber, something had set back in her mind and she wanted to relax a bit. Rising slowly to her paws she had scurried towards the exit of the camp. She cared not whom had seen her she wanted to be alone. Exiting she dashed towards the SC/TC border.

Padding into camp Phoenixstar sighed a little staring at the highrock. he wanted rainstar to be up there not him. gathering himself he leapt up and sat down his orange eyes glittering.
"all wolves who are old enough to catch their own prey gather under the highrock for a clan meeting" he announced.

Firepaw ran into the camp, amber eyes aglitter, and slowed to a walk. She looked around for Phoenixstar and saw him on top of the Highrock making an announcement. The firey apprentice padded up to him. "I'm here, Phoenixstar", she said.

Featherpaw emerged from the gorse tunnel that guarded the camp, her black pelt sleek from the washing she gave it. Hearing the familier call from the Highrock, she looked up, expecting to see the gleaming black pelt of Rainstar, but remembered that Phoenixstar would be preforming all leader duties now. Her heart ached for the new leader. Rainstar was his mate, so he must be feeling the pain more than she did, considering the fae had grown up with the leader as a pup. Sighing, the small medicine apprentice padded out into the center of camp, sitting directly in front of the Highrock.

Perking his ears Phoenixstar said "I, Phoenixstar, leader of Thunderclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him/her to you as a warrior in his/her turn.Firepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?" his orange eyes watched the apprentice with a deep intencity*

Firepaw's eyes burned with the same intensity as she looked back at the leader. "Yes, I do", she said. The firey apprentice was excited. This is it! I'm going to be a warrior!

Feather: Featherpaw's eyes gleamed. "It's good to have more warriors in ThunderClan now," she mummered to herself. She watched Firepaw, grinning. She has no idea what's coming next, she thought, winking at Phoenixstar.

StarClan honors your courage and Loyalty, and we welcome you as a full member of Thunderclan" he paused then said calmly "the time for a new deputy to be chosen. in the name of starclan and all of the previous deputies of Thunderclan i name Firespell as my new Deputy. may she serve us well"

Firespell looked up at Phoenixstar with surprise, wonder, atonishment and finally a hint of pride. The new deputy of ThunderClan smiled at her leader. "Thank you". She turned her head and glanced at the other wolves in the camp.

Echosong arrived just in time for Firepaw, no Firespell, to be given rank of deputy. "Congrats," she barked quietly, before listening to the rest of the ceremony. She glanced around for Streakpup and Bramblepup. Sitting down, she gazed up at Phoenixstar with a mixture of pride and sadness.

"Firespell! Firespell!" Featherpaw chanted the new warrior's-no, deputy's-name, before settling back down again. She pricked her ears, eager to listed to the naming of Streakpup and Bramblepup. Spotting Echosong out of the corner of her eye, Featherpaw stood up, shuffling quietly over to where her mentor sat. She settled down beside her, nodding a quick greeting, before turning her attention back to Phoenixstar.

Featherpaw pricked her ears, a sobbing sound alerting her. She turned her head around, seeing Mosseypaw drag herself into the apprentice's den, weeping. I'll check on her later, the young Medicine wolf thought. She turned back around, gazing up at Phoenixstar, waiting for him to finish the ceremony.

Firespell nodded to both medicine wolves' words. She turned partly around as the voice of her sister chimed in. Firespell wondered why her sister was crying then she knew. I'll talk to Mossey after Phoenixstar.

Approaching camp, Eviepaw knew she would get in trouble. She had slowed down to a small feather like tred. Her head was held low towards the terra, she had slipped in next to Featherpaw. Sitting upon her bottom, she glanced up to the one whom is called father in her heart.

"Y..Yes, Dadd..- I mean Phoenixstar.." Her tail had wagged from left to right. She seemed excited yet downed. Her eyes had meaning this time, like she was on a mission. Her ears pressed towards her cranial before she pressed her nose towards her father.

Evieshine had nuzzled into her father, just like Rainstar, he knew she was capibable of anything. Her mission she was on was to prove that she can do what people expect from her. "Thank you.." Her eyes had wanderd towards Featherpaw, with a brief nod. /Best Friend for life.. Right there../

Giving evieshine a quick lick to the head he leapt back up onto the rock and said calmly "From this moment, until he has earned his warrior name, this apprentice shall be known as Streakpaw. Firespell, you will be mentor to this apprentice. You are a true and trusted warrior, and I hope you will pass this knowledge to your new apprentice" he turned his attention to the other pup that was ready to become an apprentice "From this moment, until he has earned his warrior name, this apprentice shall be known as Bramblepaw. I myself will mentor bramblepaw" his eyes glittered with sadness as he then said "although rainstar and falconpaw have left us, we will continue to thrive as a clan! we are the clan of thunder! as the ancient Firestar once said we are the clan of heros the clan of compassion and the clan of destiny!" his orange eyes swept over the wolves and he nodded leaping off the rock.

Firespell smiled and inclined her head the leader. She liked Streakpaw and so she was content. The firey wolf listened to Phoenixstar telling the Clan about the legendary ThunderClan wolf. Firespell thought curiously, I wonder what Firestar was like.

Streakpaw looks around camp for the newly named firespell, her mentor. Im finally an apprentice! But-- Streakpaw thinks. But im still going to sunclan. She shakes her head. Maybe phoenixstar already knows. But i am staying for a little while longer.

"Evieshine! Bramblepaw! Streakpaw!" Featherpaw called. She cast a friendly glance over at Evieshine, who was sitting beside her. Watching Phoenixfire hop down from the Highrock, Featherpaw stood up, stretching her forelegs out. She padded over to the apprentice's den, slipping through the gap and padding over to Mosseypaw, who was a little bigger than her already. "Hey," she said, sitting down, her black eyes focused on the weeping apprentice.
