WindClan Camp

"Neither of us would ever forget that night."she said softly. The white fae smiled and lay her head below Duskfang's neck. "Thanks for helping me overcome grief of friends."she said to him. No one had saw her in the eyes that Duskfang has, the eyes of love. But now, she had truly found it and hoped to never lose this one male.

Duskfang grunted in agreement and gently lay his head on hers as she placed it beneath his neck. Now did his limbs not only feel warm but so did his heart. "Thank you for everything." He said quietly, his deep voice the only thing breaking the silence within the den. He hoped he would never loose Snowflower and he would do everything in his power to keep her safe. She was the only one he would and could ever love, and he believed that there would be not point to living if anything ever happened to her.

[EDIT]: Losing himself in thoughts he slowly lifted his head off of Snowflower's, placed it to the side of his paws and drifted off into sleep.

Sandwing watched as Snowflower and Duskfang went into the Warriors Den. The She-wolf then padded over to where Shadewhisper lay. She bent down and whispered into his ear. You've served your clan well. Rest in peace now." She then lifted up her head and backed away. Sandwing hadn't known Shadewhisper particularly well, but she knew that he was a good wolf, and had served his clan well. The She-wolf then turned and padded towards the Warriors Den.

Okamipaw shivered with fright, they were all going to run her out. Her scared self emerged even more before she turned and slipped out of camp. her heart pounding in her chest as she began running waiting for the howls of the angry to come after her. tears glinted in her eyes as she began gasping for breath. Heading for a border...

Sandwing blinked in surprise as Okamipaw ran out the camp. The She-wolf could smell the fear radiating from her pelt. "Does she think this is her fault?" She wondered. Sandwing trotted after her towards the border.

Jadepaw realised she'd fallen asleep at Shadewhisper's paws and shook her head to rid of the sleepiness. "May you be happy in the ranks of StarClan." Jade murmered once more before rising steadily to her paws and yawning. The deaths of the wolves had shaken the whole clan, but sooner or later they'd have to get back to their normal routine and Jade was ready to go back to normal; to forget all the horrible happenings of the last couple of days, but never let the dead wolves out of her mind. What's happened with that bear?, Jadepaw thought with narrowed eyes. Suppose it's probably wondered off..., she concluded with a twitch of her tail.

Heatherstar lay there for a couple of minutes -although what seemed to her as a couple of hours - sending silent prayers to StarClan and wishing Shadewhisper a safe journey. With a sharp intake of breath the leader stood up and gazed around, her eyes landing on each individual pelt of her Clan mates momentarily before moving to the next. Some must have gone out of camp. She realised when she noted a few missing wolves. The idea of going out of camp to collect her thoughts seemed like a very appealing idea to the female, so she decided to do just that. Turning towards the camp entrance she padded towards it, leaving Shadewhisper's body and the wolves gathered around it to say their final prayers to him. When she returned they would bury him outside of the camp. Contemplating where to go, as she emerged from the entrance tunnel out onto the moor, she settled on the ThunderClan and WindClan border first.

Snowflower woke up and stretched. She noticed that Heatherstar's scent just went out of camp. "Somethings weird..."she murmured and slowly padded outside. She licked Duskfang's head before she left.

-wc/tc border-

Jadepaw noticed lots of wolves were heading out of camp. That's weird..., she thought and shrugged. May as-well go see what they're up to, she sighed in her head and looked around the camp before heading to the camp entrance. Sniffing the air, she licked her shoulder fur and sped out of camp after the group of wolves.

-WC / TC Border -

Duskfang awoke with a humongous yawn. Sitting upright the large male flexed his shoulders in a stretch and blinked blearily eyed around. There was an odd absence around that he couldn't distinguish in his morning state. What was it....Snowflower. That was it. She has gone. Raising his haunches the young warrior got to his paws and began to pad out of the den, having to crouch a little to avoid his back scrapping against the den roof. Exiting the den he took in the scents around him, trying to detect Snowflower's amount all of the rest. She appeared to have left camp, and she hasn't gone alone. Heatherstar and Jadepaw had gone with her. Curiosity driving his paws forward he bounded out of camp after the small group of wolves.

Spottedpaw raised her head as a few wolves left camp. "Where are they going?" She wondered. The She-wolf now Sat up. Her muscles were stiff, since she had layed there for some time. But Spottedpaw didn't dare leave her mentor yet. "We'll bury him when those Warriors come back. She told herself. Till then she still wanted to keep guard over his body. Bending over, she whispered something into Shade's ear. Then She sat up and curled her tail over her paws and waited.

Jadepaw padded into camp with a rabid swinging from her jaws. Sprinting over to the freshkill pile, she dropped the rabbit on the mound and padded over tithe apprentices den. The sun was high in the sky and she was aghast end for no apparent reason. Lying down in a patch of sun, jade let out a long happy sigh as the subs rays warmed her pelt.

Duskfang padded into camp behind his apprentice. The body of Shadewhisper still lay in the centre of the camp and he presumed that the burial would take place as soon as Heatherstar returned. Padding over to the fresh kill pile he selected a particularly scrawny rabbit from the bottom and headed over to a shaded corner near the warriors' den to eat it. As he settled down to eat his eyes remained fixed thoughtfully on the camp entrance, wondering when the others would arrive back.

Snowflower padded into the camp. She perked her ears and let out a sigh. The fae curled up next to her mate and covered her face with her tail. She felt no need to fluff her fur up for her mate since the sun was shining so brightly.

Heatherstar padded into camp, a solemn expression suddenly seizing her features at the sight of Shadewhisper's body. Sighing heavily the leader padded over to her friends body and thought for a moment about where the best place to perform the burial would be. Perhaps Outlook Rock? Yes, that seemed like the ideal place. Raising her muzzle she looked around the camp. "Duskfang? Could you please help me carry Shadewhisper to Outlook Rock? Snowflower and Spottedpaw, you can help too if you like or just tag along, I do not mind." Lowering her head the small leader wriggled underneath the front of Shadewhisper's body and stood up, supporting the front half of the dead Medicine Wolf in mid-air. She waited for either Snowflower, Duskfang or Spottedpaw to start lifting up the rest of his corpse and begin their journey towards Outlook Rock.

Jadepaw lifted her head as Heatherstar padded into camp. She was about to get up and help but stopped herself as Heather invited other wolves to help. Guess they knew him better..., she thought and lay back down. They'd do a better job, she thought and smiled as a happy memory of Shadewhisper popped into her head. "Goodbye Shadewhisper..." she whispered one last time before his body left. Spottedpaw would do a great job at being the Windclan Medicine Wolf, Jade had total faith in the apprentice though she felt pitty and sorrow for the young wolf having lost her mentor. Must be hard for her..., she remarked sadly as her gaze rested on the female.

Spottedpaw had been sitting by Shadewhisper for some time when Heatherstar came. She nodded in agreement when Heatherstar said they should bury Shadewhisper. The She-wolf then got up and helped lifted Shade's body, taking some of his wait. She waited for Snowflower or Duskfang to help. "Outlook Rock is a good place to bury him." Spottedpaw thought. She glanced up at Heatherstar, and noticed the sorrow in her eyes. "Poor Heatherstar. She must have been very close to him." She thought.

Duskfang nuzzled his mate softly as she came over and curled up next to him. The sun was blissful on his pelt as it bathed the camp with it's warming rays, however not many wolves were in the mood to indulge this rare leaf-bare pleasure. Hearing Heatherstar summon him he got up, looking down at Snowflower and asking, "Are you coming?" before padding over to Heathersrar and Spottedpaw to help carry the body. He did not place his whole body under Shadewhisper as Heatherstar had done as he was too tall and would have lifted the body up too high for the two females to reach. Instead he crouched slightly and used his shoulder to give his leader and the medicine wolf apprentice more support. He waited for Heatherstar to begin leading to way out towards Outlook Rock.

Heatherstar nodded appreciatively as Duskfang and Spottedpaw approached and took hold of Shadewhisper's body. She had seen no movement so far in Snowflower and wonder when or if she would be joining them. She had given Snowflower the invitation and she knew that the deputy would come along in her own time if she wished. Shadewhisper's death had effected them all in different ways and all at different extents. Spottedpaw had been apprentice to the previous Medicine Wolf and Heatheratar knew that she had grown very close to him and vice versa. Snowflower and herself had also known him since he had first been born; she being his den mate and Snowflower raising him as he progressed through life. It had been hard on the whole Clan, and it would be very hard to say goodbye. Turning towards the camp entrance she began to make her way steadily through it with the others, heading for OutLook Rock.

-Outlook Rook-

Tallfeather watched the events play out around him through dismal eyes. He had never been close to Shadewhisper, but Tallfeather had loved and appreciated the medicine wolf like every other member of his clan. He would miss the male and all his valued expertise. Not making any move to join the procession, Tallfeather sighed and slumped down into a comfortable position, watching as Heatherstar and a few other wolves began to carry the body away. May your journey to Starclan be safe, Tallfeather thought to himself, and a stab of grief struck his heart. How terrible it must be for those wolves like Heatherstar and Snowflower, who had been close to the male since birth.

At the same time, a prickling sense of dread was creeping up Tallfeather's spine. He wasn't sure why -- nothing was out of the ordinary at camp, besides the sad scene of Shadewhisper's lifeless body being taken away. The longer he lay there, however, the more restless Tallfeather came. He didn't move, but anexity was stabbing at his insides, practically ripping him apart. Tallfeather's first concerns instantly flew to Skyfeather, and he remembered the pain that had hindered her before they split apart at the gathering. His fears mounted as he thought of her undergoing something terrible. He would have to find her later -- if something bad had happened, Tallfeather needed to be there with her.

Snowflower nodded. She padded over to where her mate and her leader was. The fae looked sorrowfully at the dead corpse. She padded away slowly with Heatherstar.

Jadepaw sighed not knowing what to do. Getting up, she padded over to the freshkill pile and studied the prey. It's definitely getting plumper. Good thing new-leaf is coming... She thought gratefully as she poked a skinny rabbit. She was trying to block out all sad thoughts of Shadewhisper but their old medicine wolf was the only thing she could think of. How did he get his wounds?, Jade thought curiously but shrugged. heather would tell them if it was important to know or not.

Brokenpaw watched the Leader, deputy and the apprentices carry Shadewhisper's dead body towards Outlook rock. She would miss that medicine wolf, he had always been friendly as long as she remember, it would be a slight difference without him in the clan...
Feeling a weird thing the female quickly turned around, just to see nothing.
What was that just now? It felt like somebody pulled my soul...just what?
The female kinda wondered what just happened, the aura around this place wasn't happy either because of the death of Shadewhisper, but this feeling was different, like a warning about something.

Jadepaw turned her head to look around the camp and noticed Broken sat with a wary expression on her face. The camp felt dull and gloomy and Jade had to ruffle up her fur a little to keep from scaring herself. Trotting over to Broken, her head lowered between her shoulders, the female came and sat in-front of her friend. "You alright?" she asked in a hushed voice of which she could not explain why.
