WindClan Camp

Subject: WindClan Camp Sat Nov 10, 2012 12:00 pm

First topic message reminder :

The camp is very well hidden, surrounded by a tangle of gorse. An old legend says that Windstar, the founder, scooped out a pawful of sand to make the hollow for the camp. There are no proper dens. The leader, apprentices, and warriors prefer to sleep under the open sky, although in bad weather, they retreat in burrows made by rabbits, foxes or badgers. The leader has a den behind the Tallrock, but he never sleeps there. The Tallrock is a large boulder used by the leader for special ceremonies. The elder's den and nursery are dens along the gorse wall surrounding the camp

"Oh, im alright, i just had a weird feeling just now..."
The female looked around a little.
"It felt like something pulled me weakly, im not sure what." She said letting out a shiver.
She kinda wanted to tell it felt like a warning, but Jadepaw would probably not believe her, many weird things had happened lately, but this one was a way too weird.
"Well, i guess it was just my imagination, i might be a little confused after all things that has happened lately..." She answered with a calm voice and shaked her fur.

Tallfeather sighed as he looked around camp. It seemed so strangely empty without Heatherstar, Snowflower, or Shadewhisper, one of the three which would never be returning. Deciding that perhaps he should go see off the old wolf one last time, Tallfeather rose to his paws and shook off his pelt. The sight of the body would probably cripple him with even more grief, but it was something he wanted to see.

Brokenpaw shivered a little. What was that feeling, was it really a warning? The female thought deeply. The female got a shock. What if it was about Shadewhispers burial? What if a bear attacks? Grr, i won't let anything disturb them! She couldn't hand standing here anymore, she was way too worried. Without saying more, the apprentice ran towards Outlook Rock.

Jadepaw flattened her ears as Broken and Tall left the camp too. Everyone's leaving... I better go find out what they're up to, she thought and rose to her paws. Shaking a clod of earth out from between her claws, she dug her paws into the soft earth and sped off after them. Jade had an uneasy feeling crawling through her pelt as she ran after her clan-mates but this just made her run faster. If there was danger on the moor, Jade would do her bit to help.

Spottedpaw padded into camp with a mouth full of Dock leaves. The She-wolf headed towards the Medicine Wolf Den and carefully slid them into a crack in the wall. As she trotted back out she noticed how empty the camp felt. "I guess all the Warriors are still at Outlook Rock." She thought. Spottedpaw then padded over to the Fresh-kill pile and selected a small rabbit for herself and returned to the entrance of the den.

Dragonshout watched from the warrior den as all his clanmates returned bloodied. Had he missed a battle? "What happened? Don't tell my I've missed a battle!" He said, he hated missing fights, the fights soothed the bloodlust in his soul. It helped control his lust to kill.

Spottedpaw had just sunk her jaws into a hare when Dragonshout had returned to camp. "Hello Dragonshout." The She-wolf said over a mouth full of rabbit. "Yes you did miss a battle." Spottedpaw informed lashing her tail. "But I'm sure you'll see plenty more with those rouges around." Unlike her fellow clanmate, Spottedpaw despised battles. She was pleased that she was a Medicine Wolf Apprentice and didn't have to charge into battles like other Warriors did.

Dargonshout was upset that he had missed the battle, it was a part of his life. "Did we win at least?" He asked the medicine wolf apprentice impatiently. They had attacked during the burial of the wolf's former mentor Shadewhisper. He wondered what had happened to them.

"Don't worry, they drove those mutts away! But not before Luckyclover was killed I'm sad to say. Spottedpaw told him. "Sunclan came to help us drive them away. And one of their wolves, Isenfire was killed also." The She-wolf unsheathed her claws and dug them into the ground. Not many things could get Spottedpaw angered. But the thought of those snake-hearted wolves made her disgusted.

Dragonshout nodded, he would have beat those wolves to a pulp if he were there. But apparently he was not needed. He went to the warrior den, even he wasn't insane enough to kill a mother. He knew that Isen was pregnant because of the last time he saw her.

Okamipaw padded into camp, she glanced over at Dragonshout and dipped her head in a depressed way. her black eyes glittered sadly, her red markinged face many wolves saw as a bad omen. she wondered if Dragonshout thought that she was a bad omen as well. probbaly, she sat down and stared at her paws with a dull stare.

Spottedpaw quickly finished up the rest of her rabbit. She smiled as Okamipaw entered the camp. "Hi Okamipaw." The She-wolf then got up and padded inside the den. "I better make sure I have enough herbs with those rogues around. Spottedpaw thought. She began to sort through the herbs. Poppy Seeds, Goldenrod, Watermint...

Jadepaw padded into the camp after Okamipaw. Her pads were sore and bleeding but she managed to pad to the apprentices den and flop down onto her belly. Lifting her front paws, Jade gave each a thorough wash and let out a sigh. Those wolves would be back to get them... Maybe soon, no-one knew.

Spottedpaw frowned. She was missing Coltsfoot and Feverfew. Both grow by Stormclan territory. Padding outside her den, Spottedpaw headed towards the Stormclan border.

Scenting the air okamipaw scented blood, frowning she trotted into the medicine den and grabbed some dock. returning to the apprentice den with dock in her jaws she mumbled. "this is for your pads Jadepaw, she gently began squeezing the juice onto jadepaws pads. her black eyes glittering with care as she worked.

Brokenpaw walked into the camp. "So sleepy...I hope they won't mind i stayed there a little while after they left..." She mumbled while trying to keep her eyes open. Walking towards the apprentice den she saw Okamipaw treat Jadepaw's pads. "Hmm, so ki..kind of her..." Almost falling asleep she smiled. Reaching the apprentice den the female flung herself on a soft spot on the ground covered in moss. "Finally, sleeping time..." She fell asleep.

Sandwing trotted into camp carrying a rabbit and a thrush. "I guess Heatherstar still isn't back." She thought. The She-wolf had been told that there had been a fight around Outlook Rock. Setting her prey down on the Fresh-kill pile, Sandwing padded over to the Warrior's den. As she passed by the Apprentice den, she noticed Brokenpaw laying on the moss. "Goodnight Sleepy head." Sandwing told the Apprentice playfully. She then walked over to the Warriors den and layed down.

Snowflower padded into camp. She in the middle of the clearing and let out a long sig. Looking up, she gazed at silverpelt. "Rest in peace, Isenfire, Luckyclover."she said.

Jadepaw woke up from her doze as she felt something trickling on her paws. Lifting her head startled, she relaxed seeing Okamipaw and gave a grateful grunt. "Thanks." she murmured as her friend treated her paws.

Duskfang entered the camp wearily and gazed around. Spotting his mate he padded over to her and gently rasped his tongue over her ear comfortingly. "You alright?" He asked, the concern evident in his voice.

Snowflower sighed. "I'm fine."she said and put on a fake smile. She didn't want anyone to think she was miserable. The fae licked her mate's cheek.

Okamipaw smiled at her bestest friend and finished treating her aching pads. she then padded over to her nest and curled up in it. her black eyes half closed as she watched her friend. knowing that she would be forever alone she prayed that her friend would find someone to love. Okamipaw was happy alone. this way she could better protect the clan.

Spottedpaw trotted into camp carrying fresh herbs in her jaws. Padding over to the Medicine Wolf Den, she carefully sets them inside. She then gazed around the camp. "Heatherstar still isn't back yet." She thinks wearily. The She-wolf needed to get her Medicine Wolf name, and soon. Spottedpaw wanted to go to Moonstone to get it, but if she was, she wanted to let Heatherstar know first. "I guess I'll just wait..."

Okamipaw stood and stretched, she hummed to herself "A true, true friend helps a friend in need To see the light that shines from a true, true friend.." she smiled as she paced around the camp. her powerful muscles carrying her along. she had grown a lot she spoke more now and had more confidence. but she was happy alone

Dragonshout saw them all as they relaxed in camp. A snort of ignorance in his trot. He was not happy about missing a battle. He lived for the fight and he did not live for the hunt. He still hated hunting.
