WindClan Camp

Heatherstar twisted around, surprised, as a voice sounded next to hear upon the rock, asking to speak with her in her den. Chuckling softly at the sight of Swifystreak's embarrassment in such a situation she gave him a swift nod, showing that she gave her permission, before looking back up and out at the crowd, waiting for Brokenpaw to step forward. A flicker of a frown flashed over her delicate features at the sight of Okamimaterasu leaving camp, and she hoped that her return would come soon; she would have to sit vigil tonight along with her fellow warriors and Heatherstar was to assign her a new apprentice.

Jasminepaw watched the argument. The female dog stood up. She went after Breeze. "Huh?"she wondered and followed the puppy.

Dawnpaw snapped out of her daydream. She looked around and saw Raggedfur. Dawnpaw trotted over to the grumpy warrior. 'I wonder when will it be my turn to become a warrior,' she thought.

Heatherstar stood upon Tallrock patiently, waiting for Brokenpaw to step forward so that the ceremony could begin. Gazing out across the ground she smiled at Seiftstreak as he gaze raked over him before they landed on Brokenpaw. She had decided on a name for the soon-to-be warrio and hoped that she would like it. Sh flicked her tail along the sunny baked rock behind her, waiting.

Brokenpaw opened her eyes a little."Oh no, did I doze off again?", She mumbled worried. She looked at the tallrock and saw Heatherstar stand there waiting, she also noticed everyone looking at her. W-wait, why are they staring at me like that? Oh Starclan, is this my...?, She thought before quickly scurrying up to the tallrock. "Y-yes, I do!, she answered. What a way to become a warrior...still I did it...

Breeze walked back into camp. She saw that Heatherstar was looking at an apprentice. She wondered who the apprentice was. She wanted to be an apprentice so badly!

Stormtussle followed Breeze back into camp, hoping that Jasmine was not too far behind. The brute immediately found his paws taking him in the direction of his brother, still in the same position that he had left him in. A smile formed on the grey wolf's face as he plopped down by his brother's flank, smiling down at the dark wolf. "Why hello there," he said with a larger smile, his tail wagging like the pup he was. He then flopped down onto Raggedfur's side, squishing the older male under him.

Heatherstar smiled at Brokenpaw and howled the familiar ceremony calls. "Then, by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Brokenpaw, from this moment you will be known as Brokenglare. StarClan honors your intelligence and courage, and we welcome you as a full member of WindClan."

"Brokenglare! Brokenglare!" she liked that warrior name. She wanted to see what happened next. The dog looked over and saw Storm laying on top of his brother. She chuckled a little at the site of them.

Jadefeather leapt to her paws. "Brokenglare! Brokenglare!" she chanted along with the clan. She was glad that Brokenglare was finally an apprentice.

Brokenglare smiled proudly, she was a little embarassed that she fell asleep on a weird time like that, but for her it didn't matter much. I did it! Im finally a warrior! A warrior of the wind!, the female thought proudly and raised her head to feel the warm sun. Although she was a warrior her mind was sometimes like an apprentice, optimistic and hopeful. She looked at her clanmates and listened to the chant. Im a warrior, just like the others!, She thought happily and flicked her ear.

"Brokenglare!" Stormtussle yelled out, a smile on his face. It was always the best thing when apprentices became warriors. He hoped that the new warriors would do alright sitting vigil though the night. With a content sigh, the grey male scooted down to become more comfortable against his brother.

Heatherstar watched Brokenglare with a glint of pride visible in her eyes; WindClan was growing stronger and stronger and there was still many more ceremonies to come and look forward to. Noticing Breeze return to camp along with Stormtussle she decided that it was time to explain to the Clan of their presence and begin making them apprentices. "As I am sure that you are all aware, I trust that the presence of Breeze, Jasmine and Sky have not escaped your notice. These dogs have come here seeking refuge and a chance at a new life. I have agreed to give them just that and I expect you to treat them just as you would any other Clan Mate." As she spoke she shot Duskfang a sideways glance before continuing. " Breeze, please step forward." Waiting for Breeze to step forth she howled the ceremonial calls. " From this moment, until she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice shall be known as Breepaw. I will be mentor to this apprentice." Turning around Heatherstar leapt off of the rock and extended her muzzle to touch her nose to the newly named Breezepaw.

The dog was shocked. She was the leaders apprentice! She touched nose's with her mentor. She whispered to Heatherstar, "Thank you."

Heatherstar pulled away at shook her head slightly at Breeze's words of thanks. "There is no need to say thank you." Winking the brown and white female bounded back up the tall rock to proceed with get announcements. "Now, could Sky and Jasmine please step forward to conclude today's ceremonies" Waiting for both dogs to come forward her voice rang out for the last time during the current announcements. " From this moment, until these canines have earned their warrior names, they shall be known as Sky and Jasminepaw. Jadefeather, you will be mentor to Sky, and Barkstripe, you will be mentor to Jasminepaw. You are both true and trusted warriors, and I hope you will pass your knowledge to your new apprentices." Letting out a small sigh, glad to now have finished the ceremonies, the leader began chanting the new names. "Brokenglare! Breezepaw! Sky! Jasminepaw! Brokenglare! Breezepaw! Sky! Jasminepaw!"

Swiftstreak sat quite quietly as he looked at the three dogs that have joined the clan. Not really caring about the dogs. He sighed a little a waited for everyone to disburse, the black warrior yawned. *Thanks god I'm not on apprentice duty.* the male said to himself as he already had bad experiences with a previous apprentice.

Okamiamaterasu returned to camp muddy and a little unkempt from her below ground adventure, she sat down and began cleaning herself. completly ignoring Raggedfur, how was he to know the depth of the pain that had corroded away her spirit? no, he would be best to be ignored.

Heatherstarpromptly cleared her throat to perform -mercifully- the last ceremony of the day. Spotting Amberpaw within the crowd she opened her jaws to summoned the young wolf forward for the last time. "Amberpup, please come forward. From this moment, until she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice shall be known as Amberpaw. Okamimaterasu will be mentor to this apprentice. You are a true and trusted warrior, and I hope that you pass your knowledge onto your apprentice." Leaping off of Tallrock she padded over to Swiftstreak, her tail held high in the air and waving gently from side to side as she approached. "Do you still want a word?" She asked cheerfully, gesturing to her den.

Swiftstreak got up standing next to her, "Yes I do." The male said as he walked towards her den with her. He had been thinking what to say to her and now was he's chance. The male lookedd around making sure no-one was going to interrupt he's talk with her.

Raggedfur let a grin flicker across his muzzle in spite of himself as Stormtussle returned to camp and collapsed on top of him. The lager warrior easily hooked his paws under Stormtussle and threw him off, making sure to dig his claws a little harder into his brother than was needed - Raggedfur would have done anything to protect Stormtussle, but that didn't mean he had to go all soft on him. "You and your girl have fun?" He questioned wryly, flopping over onto one side to stare at his brother...and also to keep his gaze from landing on the sulking figure of Okami. She'd returned to camp, but she looked unhappy, more out of irritation now than sorrow. A spark of guilt flared inside of Raggedfur, but he pushed it away.

Raggedfur's ears twitched as he registered another scent. The warrior didn't move, but his eyes slowly shifted to land on the nearby figure of Dawnpaw. What was her problem? Snorting in irritation, Raggedfur ignored the apprentice, even as she drew closer.

Heatherstar nodded and padded,to the leader's den with Swiftstreak, entering the cave like den and coming to sit in her nest. Making herself comfy the leader looked up at the male interestedly, wondering what he was so eager to say. "So, what would you like to tell me?" she asked aloud curiously.
