Dragonheart had grown up in the clan she could never remember not being in sunclan. she wondered what she would teach tealpaw first.

| Tealpaw had bounded in, happy and content as she looked around her surroundings. She had never been out of the camp before, so this was all new to her. "Dragonheart!" She called when she saw the new warrior near the old abandoned twoleg nest. "What should we learn first?" She asked, all peppy and excited. She was just a bundle of fur with tons of joy at the moment, what can you expect? | |

| Dragonheart laughed softly and said "well... why dont we practise our prey finding skills? you have to be quiet and scent the air adn listen with these thins on your head. whisper to me the things you can scent ok?" with that Dragonheart sat up tall and began listening for prey. she could hear several birds calling as well as smell a few mice in the undergrowth. if there was one thing that she had learned as an apprentice it was that sunclan territory had plenty of different prey species. | |

| Tealpaw nodded, and mentally squealed. She had always wondered what to hunt. So lifting her muzzle slightly, the apprentice took a whiff of the air, and scented a mouse. "Mouse." She whispered, loud enough so that her mentor could hear her. Turning her head to look at Dragonheart, the apprentice waited for some instructions on what to do before scampering off and hunting them for real. | |

| Dragonheart nodded and dropped to a crouch she showed the apprentice the hunting crouch and whispered "try to copy this then go after the mouse, make sure that you place your paws down carefully because they can feel vibrations". the cream coloured warrior smiled remembering being a apprentice to stoatblaze. stoatblaze had been a great warrior. | |

| Tealpaw watched Dragonheart drop to a crouch, and realized that she was showing her how to do so. So lowering herself so that her belly was merely inches away from the ground, the apprentice nodded. She shifted forward, and felt the snow crunch underneath her paws. "Is it supposed to be loud though?" She inquired in a whisper, hoping she was doing it correctly. It was hard when she needed to be precise, instead of using the old pup technique, which by the way; doesn't work in times like this. | |

| Dragonheart replied "try to be as quiet as possible tealpaw". Her honey brown eyes glittered with kindness and intelligence. she flicked her long cream tail and gave tealpaw a lick. | |

| Nodding back as Dragonheart licked her fur, the apprentice approached slightly towards the scent of the prey, making as little noise as possible. Once the small mouse was in view, Tealpaw narrowed her eyes, and stalked slowly, then pounced once her prey was a few tail lengths away. Sadly, though, Tealpaw missed her target by a few inches, and the mouse was left running and scattering away. Huffing, the apprentice turned back to her mentor. "Oops." | |

| Dragonheart, smiled kindly "you did very well at stalking it tealpaw, all we need to practise on is your aiming skills". she paused and searched around before returning with a stick. she moved it and placed it on the ground. "right, use the undergrowth around you to stalk the stick when you think you are ready leap and pounce on the stick" | |

| A stick? Well, at least she knew that Dragonheart was trying to help her. "O-Okay..." She hesitated, but slunk down into a crawling position, and silently stalked forward with her tail twitching every now and then. Once she thought that there was enough distance, Tealpaw pounced, and landed with her paws on the stick, and yelped happily. "I did it!" Her aim with an object had succeeded, but who knew what would happen with a real live prey within her reach? | |

| Dragonheart smiled kindly. "Congratulations on catching your first stick!" She joked. "And I think you are just about ready to go and hunt me some juicy mice! Remember, look and listen!" Dragonheart herself smelt a rabbit. Maybe a bit too big for the apprentice. Maybe there was a mouse about? | |

| Tealpaw had heard Dragonheart joking around, but somewhere, deep down, it had hurt. But shoving that aside, the apprentice opened her maw to take a breath, and scented a rabbit, but somewhere further away was the scent of a mouse. With leafbare, the prey had become scarce, but she didn't exactly know this. So running while keeping her paws light, Tealpaw had neared, and dropped to a crouch when the mouse was in view. Once her calculations were approximate, Tealpaw jumped, and had the prey within her paws. Using her instincts, the apprentice used her canines and pierced the animal's neck, leaving it dead seconds later. "I did it for real!" | |

| Direstar padded up and raised his eyebrows watching dragonheart train tealpaw. He smiled a little remembering when dragonheart was dragonpup. His blood red eyes glittered with memories, him and heatherstar playing as pups, he had been the leader of darkclan and heatherstar had been his deputy. he flicked his tail a little and padded out, he inspected the mouse and said "thats a hearty catch tealpaw, the first mouse i ever caught was about half the size of that". he smiled faintly and dipped his head to dragonheart hoping that she wouldnt mind him jumping into the session. | |

| "Hello Direstar." Dragonheart smiled. She nodded her head in agreement. "The first thing I probably caught was the smallest mouse you'd have ever seen. You should be proud of catching that big mouse." She yawned and looked at Direstar. "What brings you here?" She asked her leader. | |

| Tealpaw smiled proudly as the clan leader came towards them, and even praised her catch. Her smile had widened, and just so she can prove that she was the model apprentice, Tealpaw even fluffed her fur out to make her seem bigger and stronger than she already was. But then Direstar had left just as quick as he came in. "Bye, Direstar!" She called after him as the leader made his leave. Turning back around to face Dragonheart, the apprentice looked at her happily. "What next?" | |

| Fighting. Well that seemed nice, considering Tealpaw had a rather large build for her own size. "Sure!" With a smile, the apprentice stood up, and shook her fur, then returned to a playbow, her tail wagging in the air. "So, you lunge, and I try to block?" Tealpaw wanted to get this right this time, instead of practicing with a stick unlike last time. Even though it was hunting, Dragonheart could still make her practice with something not even alive. | |

| "Well, I thought about this easy move to start with." She explained. She trotted over to a bush and lashed out at it, demonstrating the move perfectly. She moved herself back to Tealpaw. "Now you try it!" She smiled. She stood back so her apprentice could try the move on her

| Tealpaw watched in awe as she saw her mentor do some fighting with a bush, and once her mentor re approached, the apprentice's mouth was gaped open. "Um.." Now feeling nervous as it was her turn, Tealpaw launched herself at Dragonheart and swiped her paws ungracefully, of course lightly towards her mentor's face. When she completed the move, the apprentice looked embarrassed, and chuckled nervously. "I still need more practice.." Tealpaw told Dragonheart. Of course she was new at this, so it will take a while to perfect. | |

| Dragonheart nodded. "Maybe even practise it on that bush and when you think you're ready come over to me." She smiled. She looked at the bush and pointed her nose at it. | |

| Tealpaw huffed. More inanimate object training. Walking over to the bush, Tealpaw practiced the move over and over again, until she got to the point where she could do so pretty well without falling over, or even making obvious mistakes. Once she got that down, the apprentice padded over to Dragonheart once more. "I think I got it." She stated, though it was mostly talking towards herself. | |

| Dragonheart smiled. "That's the best I've see any apprentice do!" Dragonheart exclaimed. "Now try it on me. Pretend I'm the wolf you hate most. But obviously not too hard." She added. She walked around a bit and then stood prepared at her apprentice. | |

| Looking brightly as her blue eyes danced happily in the light as she got praised, the apprentice smiled. "Thanks!" But as her mentor wanted her to try the move, Tealpaw nodded and took a deep breath. 'Okay, I can do this.' She thought in her head before charging. Once she was near Dragonheart, the apprentice swatted Dragonheart's face lightly, and did the move, with only a few minor mistakes. "So?" She inquired after she was finished, and backed away slowly, waiting for her mentor's comments. | |
