*Scratch was torn. On one hand, he wanted to tell Wind about his past.* On the other hand, he wasn't sure Wind would understand what he'd been through. After pondering the matter for a while, he decided he'd tell Wind about his history.*

Rainwhisper looked at the other black female as she made her way up to Nightowl. A mischievous grin spread across her pretty face as she looked at them both. She shook her head, "Don't ask Feathersoul, just do it. He's obviously wounded by some... force..." Rainwhisper's voice squeaked a bit and she looked at Feather, "He also fell down a hole. So I'm sure there are more reasons than one..." Her smile never faltered, her ears perked forward she waited to see what would happen next. She watched Mosseybreeze come up. Rain smiled and turned away until the other fae had left. She ignored everyone around them after that. Looking back at Featherosul Rain narrowed her eyes slightly. She had heard the conversation, but Rain had no doubt in her mind Feather would keep it a secret? Right? Doubt flickered in the depths of Rain's blue eyes and she interrupted herself by asking something else. "Do you need any help?"

Shadowpup was glad for the lesson on who the other wolves were. But she did wonder how you could have a best friend in a different clan, and why would they be sending pups to thunder clan, but kept her concern to herself via Firestar's order. Shadowpup watched in puzzlement as a wolf named Mosseybreeze ran away from Firestar when called upon. I thought we are to obey the leader so why is that wolf running away, she asked herself.

Firestar sighed then turned around. Seeing Shadowpup looking puzzled, she said: "Don't worry, Mosseybreeze gets upset easily." She padded over and sat down beside the pup. "She's my sister." The firey wolf's ears pricked up. "Do you want to know anymore about the wolves? Or would you like to play?"

Shadowpup did want to know more about the wolves. But she figured that there would always be time to learn about her clanmates. So hearing the words " would you like to play," Shadowpup jumped up and instead of immediately going for Firestar's tail. She watched as it moved and tried to calculate her pounce just right so she could catch it.

The firey leader narrowed her eyes playfully as she saw the black pup jump up and stare at her tail. She's going to try to catch it. Firestar grinned. I used to do that with Luna. The memory of that with Falconpup and her other friends made her blink. She smiled and let her tail move a little closer to Shadowpup.

Shadowpup waited a little bit and then she saw the perfect opportunity. She crouched low and then dashed forward to strike Firestar's tail. But a the last minute, instead of going for the tail, she rushed into Firestar's side. Causing Shadowpup to tumble on her.

Firestar rolled over, leaving the pup between her front paws. "That was a good trick." She smiled and sat up. I like Shadowpup, lively and friendly. Her amber gaze passed over all the wolves in camp. "You remind me of Icefrost, one of my best friends."

Icefrost shook her head as Mosseybreeze ran out of camp and away from Firestar. That was disrespectful on so many levels, especially to her sister who also was leader. She padded over to her best friend with a smile at Shadowpup. "I'm not sure what's gotten into her lately! She usually listens." She had no idea why Mosseybreeze was being so rude and defiant.

Foxpup flicked her ears and curled up in her nest, she gave a slight hiccup and closed her eyes half way. she yawned and mumbled to herself "hmph, whats up with everyone being so defiant?". she gave a low growl and closed her eyes. she sat up and padded over to shadowpup and prodded her with a paw "im Foxpup" she said.

"She's been getting upset a lot and leaving the camp on several occasions." The firey wolf smiled at Icepaw but looked worried too. Firestar knew partly why Mosseybreeze was like that but kept it to herself for now. "I wonder how Nightowl was injured", she said. It looks like something or someone attacked him.

Nightowl shook out his fur and said " i was injured when i fell into an underground dried up spring, yay now get over with the fussing, it bores me". he fell silent and remained where he was refusing to move. the white bone of his rib standing out stark against his black thick fur. he noticed a wolf yelling at firestar and racing off. raising his eyebrows he snorted, bit rude to do that to a leader..

He grunted and stood "fine" he rumbled in his deep thundering voice "where do you want me to go". his golden eyes watched her intently. His normal calm still around him he was just being alert and trying to help. it was in his very nature to want to help. he lashed his long ebony coloured tail and waited for the medicine wolfs instructions.

Feathersoul nodded at his words. She felt her eyes drawn to him for a brief moment before looking away. She felt oddly drawn to the male, but she padded off into the Medicine Den. She grabbed a jawful of chervil and cobwebs before slipping back out into the clearing. She approached Nightowl, setting the herbs down beside him. "You can just stay there. Just lie down for a moment." She scooped up the chervil in her mouth, beginning to chew it.

He obligingly lay down and began thumping his tail in a rythmic beat. his eyes half closed a rummbling humm echoed out of his chest. his golden orbs glancing at the two pups and he smiled a little. new pups to the clans were always good. It reminded him of when he was a pup and the days were carefree. before hate and responsibility entered his life.

Feathersoul, after a great deal of forcing her eyes to concentrate on his wounds, finally managed to keep from staring at Nightowl. As he lied down, she continued to stand. She spat out the chewed chervil, placing the chewed plant on his scratches and scrapes that looked awefully like claw marks... No. They're just scrapes. That's that. She let the herb's juices soak into him. As she ran her paw through his fur in search of more injuries, she let out a gasp at the white rib protruding through his black fur. Her face was startled, showing no sign of her knowlage that there was definately a fight. The only problem was she could only scent ThunderClan...

Rainwhisper watched, guilt beginning to rise within her. She watched Feathersoul, knowing her well. Rain bit her tongue and shuffled her paws, a more than obvious sign she was hiding something. Yet she couldn't stand it and she dropped her head. Her blue gaze flickered to the bone protruding from the males pelt. In a whisper Rainwhisper muttered. "I attacked him, don't try and make up stories in your head." Rainwhisper sighed and sat down, she knew everyone would look for an excuse to believe what Nightowl had said, that he had just suddenly fallen. But Rainwhisper couldn't stand it, she had some conscience. Rainwhisper looked at the medicine wolf, her ears a bit flat in worry and embarassment. If she asked her why, she'd tell her.

the male grunted and said iritably "just shove it back in and close the wound, and it will be fine". he laid his head down on the earth with a thud. his golden eyes glittered with concealed tiredness. they fully closed as he allowed himself to drift off into sleep.

Rainwhisper watched for Feathersoul's reaction, she sighed softly knowing it sounded like an impossibility. She nodded and walked off slowly, "I remember." She passed by Bramblepaw quickly and grabbed the rushes and comfrey root. She walked back in time to hear Nightowl. She dropped the things near feather, "Oh yeah shove it back in. I could have done that for ya." Her tone wasn't joking more angered than not. Angry at herself, at im at the world. Her tail lashed and yet she looked at Feathersoul to keep calm.

the sleeping brute snored, as if in response to Rainwhispers retort. his sides rose and fall rhythmically, tail straight ou tbehind him. his large head all dusty from its thunk into the dirt. his side where the rib was sticking out, blood soaked and his fur sticking together in clumps.

Feathersoul shook her head. "I'm sorry Nightowl, but it doesn't work that way. You could become even worse then." Her words were slow, drowsy, in a way. The way the large male's voice rumbled made her feel calm and...safe. She shook her head, clearing her mind. She ran through his fur again, searching for any wounds she missed. She bent down, her mind still clogged, Rainwhisper's words vaugly processing. She chewed up the comfrey into a thick paste, gingerly smearing it over the bone after pushing it back into Nightowl's body and lining up the broken fixture. After caking the bone in the herb, she took the rushes, wrapping it around the bone over and over again before looping it around and fixing the brown ball in a tie. She pulled his fur and skin close, sealing his skeleton, and she took the cobwebs she had left and draped it across like a bandage.

Che had never considered herself pretty and she wasn't. She was okay looking but there were other wolves far better than her. Since puphood Rain had not cared much if she was the best or not, she wanted to be her best. Besides her attitude was more commanding and strong, firm and unflexible. Other females would flicker their eyes when young and go around every available male. Rainwhisper on the other hand hated a flirt, hated anything to do with males. She was part of a clan and at the time she cared for her brother. Rain never sought for love, it wither came or she'd pass it on. She could care less about the male before her or any of the others around. She looked at Feathersoul, waiting. She had to talk to her. Just had to.

His eyes opened and he lifted his head, waking up he noticed the bandage and dipped his head in thanks to Feathersoul. hauling himself up onto hsi feet he sighed and stretched feeling a few pops and cracks in hsi stretching musculature. shaking himself he twitched his ears and considered going on a hunt.
