Post minimum?

Yeah so, I had this idea that each there is a rule where each RPer has to at least post a minimum of ____ sentences? I mean, RP is pretty fine the way it is, though it might be a good idea to make a small number of sentences they at least have to post.

I'm not saying a whole paragraph, like maybe just 2 or 3 sentences per post.

I really am not likeing this site much more. All the sites i left had sentances requirements. So soon i might just leave

To be honest with you guys, I don't think the sentence requirement is something to get worked up over. You can literally have 3 word sentences as long as there are six of them. I don't personally think its fair that people get crystals just for posting 1 sentence of rp where maybe they laugh and that's it, but nothing else. Where is the fun in that for others, and how is it rewarding for everyone else and you when nothing happens but you still get a reward for it? The posts are also not random irrelevent things you are adding, its information to your post. Even I found myself at 5 sentences but could quickly add something else that made it more interesting that perhaps I didn't think of before.

In role-play so far, everyone has been having an easy time of it, at least that's what I see. I'll lower it to four, but I don't think 3 is enough just for a role-play post. It seems to me like no thought at all. If I go into RP and i see things haven't really been happening, instead of just writing a post where there's no writing at all really (maybe a "Shadestar sat in silence. He looked at the female warrior. There was anger in his eyes as he waited") which adds nothing to RP, I wait until someone else posts and says something where I can reply and add more content.

Everyone pretty much replies with 4 sentences anyway without any thought. If you have nothing to say there's not really a reason to post, especially if you get credit for a post you put no thought into. Nightfeather has made great suggestions on how to improve the content of posts.

If I may say so, we'll said Shadestar xD I couldn't have said it any better myself. I think that lowering it to a 4 sentence restriction will be better to start with, so that people can get used to creating a more imaginative post and settling into the rp. Maybe, once everyone has got used to writing with the restriction, if some are still unhappy with it, I guess there is always the possibility of making it higher again? All the same, there is no word maximum, so I cannot see it as being much of a problem :3

And then a year from now we'd have a 16 sentence requirement. I don't think that's going to work.

I have to write a minimum of 250 words on another site, so I was just thinking gradually work our way up to 6 or however many sentences.

Most rp posts don't need 250 words though - TFC is, in my eyes, a semi-literate rp who's members do not desire to become literate.

I think we will just leave it at 4 sentences and see how this goes. If we want to change it later we can bring this up again.

Four sentences is is good though sometimes it can be hard because sometimes its three sentences then you are out of ideas. When im like that i just put, Silentpaw sits down and waits for someone to talk.

Yeah,or i just make lots of compound sentences(if you know what that is) instead of simple sentences. So then i have to edit it to get four,but its not really a big deal.
