Stunted Forest - Page 7 Stunted-muskeg-forest-temperate-gerry-ellis

the stunted forest is a swampy forest on the far side of the gorge from the sunclan camp, hard to reach it pays off with plenty of prey such as deer, goats and the odd elk or moose. a wolf should be careful traversing this land as you can sink into the land rather easily. frogs are found here often and late at night they croak loudly. the trees here are short and twisted, generally at night a thick mist will prevail through the area as well.

Mosseybreeze saw Dire and Ebony walk into the forest. What are they up to? She followed the sent to where they were. They were talking about her eyes? What the?

he grinned at ebonyfur "of course you would, you are a kind wolf ebonyfur im glad that you decided to join sunclan with moonwhisper and i" from the way he talked it was obvious that he was still in love with moonwhisper but he was beginning to heal. he looked over at Ebonyfur and gave a smile with his kind face. he swished his tail and siad "come on lets go to the stormclan border. i need the exersice"

"Sure."she said. The Fae smiled as she stretched. She stood up and started to walk to the borders. She followed dire happily.

Hearing the echo of a crack. She snorted. Then curled up at a tree. She felt her eyes brim with tears. But she kept them in. "I'm sorry dad." She curled up tight. Not wanting any more with life.
She remembered every second since her birth. She wanted to go back. Before even she was born. She wouldn't have stopped everything. She sniffed and curled up tighter.

Tigerpaw stumbled up and stared around with big eyes, she called out "Fernshade! fernshade!" she remembered when Fernshade had been fernpaw and she had been tigerpup. Fern had been her onlyfriend back then before thunder was born. she looked around for her oldest friend sadness in her voice. picking up her scent she tracked her and walked up over to her. she began grooming her friends fur.

Feeling a tongue smooth over her fur,she sighed. And recognized her sister's scent."Tigerpaw. I think Direstar is dead." She sniffled through her brown fur. She shut her eyes. Not allowing tears to roll out.

She blinked then said "we should go back to camp then" she stood and nosed her friend "come on Fernshade, we do sunclan no good being here. perhaps ripplestone will stop the merciless slaughter".

Fernshade sighed. "Your right. I can't waste my life crying." She then blinked. She turned to Tigerpaw. "Just one last howl." She then turned to the sky. She howled out. Her sadness tuning thought the sky. She hoped her father had heard. At least in Starclan.
She then turned to Tigerpaw. She nodded then quickly padded back to camp.

Tigerpaw ran after Fernshade, her head poundinglike a drum. she had the worlds worst headache sher ealised as she ran along. her brown and cream fur blowing around like grass. she wondered if Thunderpaw would be at camp when she returned.

Owlscreech walked up to the disgusting forest in his own opinion, he began scenting around and flicked his ears. having found the plant he was looking for he inspected the bright red berries. it wasnt a death berry bush it was a coffee plant. he pickedsome of the berries inspectingthem.

Twistedpaw padded over to the other wolf. She narrowed her eyes at the red berries; weren't those deathberries? "Those are poisonous, do we really need them?" She asked, looking up at her mentor. She wasn't sure why he wanted deathberries, but either way, she didn't think the SunClan wolves would mind if they took them.

He said "these arent Deathberries Twistedpaw, these are Coffee plants. I know that Two legs sometimes use their seeds or beans to give them energy, a new travelling herb perhaps" he said as he took the bean out of its berry and inspected it. they would have to dry it he realised. his golden eyes glittered at twistedpaw.

Twistedpaw nodded, hearing what Owlscreech responded. "That means it isn't poisonous?" The apprentice asked, sniffing at the berries of the plant. "I forgot to tell you; Amberwing said something to Graystar about telling you to come back to their camp." She added, unsure if Owlscreech wouldn't care or instead be mad.

He grunted "that girl gets above herself! im a medicine wolf and only Graystar and shadestar can give me orders, even then i might now obey them" he picked some more and said "no, but to make sure we will test them on rats there is an overflux of them at the carrion place we will go there later"

Aurorapup walked up and tilted her head curiously. crouching in the bushes she noticed the medicine wolf apprentice. she walked up and said "hello im Aurorapup i want to become a medicine wolf someday" her purple eyes watched the apprentice with a shy smile. giving no hint nor care to the apprentices twisted paw.

"Aurora."said Ebony in a motherly tone. She looked at Twistedpaw then to Owlscreech. "I see."she said. "You know, I could have just taught you."she said to her daughter.

Twistedpaw nodded to Owlscreech. Hearing a voice, her pelt bristled in surprise and the wolf's amber eyes glanced down at a pup. The pup was smiling, and didn't seem to care about her paw. "Hello Aurorapup." She replied, with a smile; the pup seemed kind so she didn't want to be rude to her. She wasn't used to smiling, nor really to being kind. Seeing Ebonyfur come over, the wolf recognized her as the wolf who Owlscreech said had pups when she was a medicine wolf. The warrior was speaking to Aurorapup, and Twistedpaw glanced at her mentor before looking back to the two other wolves.

Owlscreech ignored the pup and snorted at Ebonyfur "you broke the medicine wolf code, you mean nothing to me" having gathered the berries he wanted he spat at ebonyfur "let graystar know that twistedpaw nad i have got what we came for" he nodded at his apprentice and lead the way back to camp

Aurorapup frowned and said "im sowwy mummy" she sat down her ears drooping. "why is daddy not here anymore, why couldnt you save him' she looked confused. why had owlscreech completly ignored her? why didnt he like her mummy?

The apprentice looked up at her mentor. Her eyes then glanced at Aurorapup. "Hmm, bye." The StormClan wolf said to the pup, before padding back towards her mentor. Twistedpaw let out a yelp as she tripped over a tree root, ending up falling on her side. Snorting, she tried standing back on her paws, limping a bit more noticebly as she moved forward. Her twisted paw was hurting her, but she didn't show any signs of that as she walked back to the Clan.

"Because...I couldn't stop him from going to a place when I was nursing you guys..."she frowned. "But don't worry. It's not your fault."she said. "Let's just head home now."she smiled. The fae glared at Owlscreech. She did not break the code. All she was doing was being a temporary medicine wolf until Fawnpaw could take over.

Aurorapup nodded and turned, however she blinked her lily coloured eyes. she shook out her white fur and smiled to herself. she liked it out here she felt kind of.... free. she stretched her slim body out. she shook some fur out of her eyes before she turned leaping off.

Snowpaw darted through the forest,she then accidentally slammed into a tree. She fell down quickly,her brown eyes widened and shook in fear. She felt blood trickle down her forehead. She closed her eyes and fell asleep. Her chest slowly rising and falling.

Bramblepup walked up her tail waving through the air inspecting the new smells and watching the prey scamper along away from her. She was a little sad that they were scared of her but shrugged it off. She bit back a scared yelp as she saw snowpaw instead she trotted over and nosed her a little "snowpaw? snowpaw are you ok?" her voice was worried and sad.
