Welcome to your training Oakpaw! Its up to you if you want to focus on certain skills or just brush over them all. Other members are welcome to join in, apprentices and Warriors of Sunclan only please.

Moonwhisper waited in the sandy hollow, shifting her paws. She had told Oakpaw to meet her here right away so they could start with his training. She sighed a little. Her mentoring skills would be tested with the 'paw'. He didnt listen to her all that well. It was a sunny day with only a few clouds drifting across the sky. She could smell the scent of mountain prey that was now familiar. Her green eye examined the hollow, planning out her lesson. Maybe they could drop Direstar and Shadowpaw a visit later.

Oakpaw stomped into the clearing his ears pinned against his head. his yellow eyes glared over at moonwhisper. he didnt want her to be his mentor! he had wanted someone actually cool! flicking his nut brown tail he sat down glaring at his paws as he muttered "im here moonwhisper" not a trace of respect in his sulky angry voice. the apprentice was furious with direstar, why had he given him the one eyed warrior?

Moonwhisper rolled her eyes. No visit for him. Standing she stalked over to him. "You will respect me by the time this is over. I didn't want to mentor you any more than you want me to mentor you. We can at least be civil." She kept her cool though. Clenching her teeth, she thought some bitter thoughts towards Direstar. "Now, whats your problem with me. Better clear this up before we begin."

"i have a problem with everyone that isnt my brother shadowpaw" oakpaw informed moonwhisper slightly more civilly than he had done before. he flicked his tail over his front paws and returned the glare he thought he saw moonwhisper giving him. turning his head he gave his rather different pelt a good few licks before turning his head back to his reluctant mentor.

"Well your going to have one more problem if you don't behave. Now, what do you want to do first." Inwardly she groaned. It would be much more fun to mentor someone who actually wanted to learn and be a good apprentice. It seemed like this one hardly wanted to move.

the apprentices eyes glittered as she asked him what he wanted to do "i want to fight!" he suddenly seemed more interested learning to fight was something that he had always wanted to do. with yellow eyes glitterin with a feirce determination the apprentice stood and stuck his tail high in the air. fighting was his pride and joy, hunting he found boring except for the killing part of it. the agressive mentally unstable apprentice stared at moonwhisper waiting for her to attack him.

Moonwhispers eye narrowed. "Very well. We can do some fighting." Pointing with her nose to a stump, nodded. Show me your best swipe on that. One paw only, on top of it."

Oakpaw leapt over towards the stump a feirce gleam in his cold yellow eyes, with a leap he leapt up and swung his right paw down so hard on the stump that his claws were embedded into it. yanking his paw out he turned and sat down watching moonwhisper with his calcuationg eyes "how well did i do... moonwhisper"

Moonwhisper nodded approvingly. "Don't let this go to your head, but you will make a very strong warrior after your training is done." Standing, the fae fixed her gaze on the apprentice. "Now, try it on me until you can do the same. Only not as hard." Her voice lightened for a moment, but grew somber again.

Oakpaw nodded a solid determination glowing in his yellow gaze, without warning he sprang into the air and tapped her head with his paw. landing neatly he stared up at her with a curious look in his eyes that was almost respect "i want to learn more moves i want to show those others that im not weak and that im someone to be respected" his voice was ice cold even as he spoke

"Of course. You will be respected." She chuckled a little as he tapped her head. "Fine, you got me this time. Up for something more challenging?" Moonwhispers voice was tinged with challenge. She wanted to pass on her knowledge of battle moves, but he had to want them.

"are you kidding? of course i want to know" his eyes glittered "ill be so strong that ill take on all of stormclan!" he gave a smirk and backed up a devilish look in his yellow eyes. "teach me" he commanded the agressive yet sensitive apprentice was ready to learn and show the world what he was made off.

Moonwhisper nodded, a small smile on her face. "You and Shadowpaw will take them on side by side. I have no doubt that by the time I'm through with you will be as strong as Lionclan." Shaking out her pelt she grinned. "How 'bout the back kick?" She demonstrated on a log, sending in explosive back kick into the wood, making it splinter. "You must judge the opponent's distance from you carefully, then lash out with your hind legs, taking your weight on your front paws." Her eyes glittered. "Ready?" she nodded towards the log.

Oakpaw nodded steely determination in his gaze, padding over toward the log he turned around and carefully judged the distance. his eyes glittered with a feindish hate and his legs exploded backwards splintering wood and leaving deep clawmarks. turning he sat down and began pulling out splinters of his pads mumbling "did i do good moonwhisper?"

Moonwhisper nodded, impressed. "Very good. But remember, when using this move you aren't trying to kill. A warrior does not have to kill to win his battles." Waiting for him to finish pulling splinters out of his paws she quizzed him. "What do you want to do next?"

His eyes shone with determination "i want to learn more about fighting, i am the fury of the storm!" he bared his teeth with a grimness that was rarely seen in apprentices eyes. without waiting for the deputy he launched himself at her and lightly raked his claws along her side.

Moonwhisper sighed and dodged his strike. "Fine. But were not going to focus only on fighting. Thats not the only purpose of a warrior." The wolf rolled her eyes. "Shoulder drop. Perfect this so that if an opponent grabs hold of your shoulder it will dislodge them, leaving room for attack." Pretending an opponent has their teeth in her shoulder, she dropped her right side of her body, leaving no way for the wolf to hang on.

Oakpaw nodded and leapt at moonwhisper lightly digging his teeth into her side he gripped on with a determination. yellow eyes watched her with respect. his brown pelt began to dull as rain began to fall.

Moonwhisper readied herself, waiting for him to grab her shoulder. Feeling his teeth prick her shoulder she dropped her right side. Flicking her tail she noted with approval that he stayed on longer than most. He wouldnt be able to hold on forever though...

(So hard to find something to say without power playing xD)

Growling the young apprentice dug his claws into moonwhispers side, his yellow eyes glittering with a grim determination. he raked his claws lightly through her fur and snarled again. his oakbrown fur all mussed.

Moonwhisper shook him harder. "Alright, you have proved you can hang on. Not really the point of the exercise, but OK." The she-wolf waited for the apprentice to drop of. "Really. I think we should focus on something else now."

Oakpaw leapt off moonwhisper and said "i want to learn to fight! lets wrestle!" his tail was stuck up in the air and without warning he leapt to moonwhispers blind side and raked his claws along her shoulder.

Moonwhisper sighed as he voiced his opinions. With a jolt, she felt claws raking down her shoulder. Leaping away, she faced him with a mischievous grin, and swiped his paws out from under him. Dancing around in a circle, she waited for him to react.

Rolling over he surged up onto his paws again and retreated his behind shown to moonwhisper. with a gleam in his eye he remembered the back kick and explosivly struck his back legs into her chest sending her back a little.

Moonwhisper stumbled back a bit with the blow. Rearing, she brought her front paws crashing down on Oakpaws' back, just enough for the force to push him down. Her ears swiveled as she listened for any other sounds. Then she focus her attention back on her apprentice.
