The boundary between ThunderClan and WindClan

Adder's ears flattened. "I guess so..." She said. She got up to start hunting. She was hungry, anyways. She hadn't eaten in days.

Wind led, his normal leadership coming out. He crept along, his fur barely vissible in the long grass. Then he stopped, lifting his muzzle into the wind. "Do you smell that?" he asked with a flick of his ears.

Adder sniffed the air. "Yes. But what is it?" she asked. She looked around curiously.

Wind sniffed again, there was the smell of grass. So not a small fox. He sniffed again, 'Deer I think." he checked the wind, "We're upwind of it, so it's good." he flicked his tail, "How do you want to do this?" he asked out of respect. He lifted a paw for her to stay quet, but answered in a low voice, "right here. There's a deer to our north east."

"I'll help." Adder implied softly. She got into a hunting position and she looked at wind. "What to do now?" she asked. She never really hunted before besides small animals.

Heatherstar heard the rest of her Clan mates leaving and decided to go too. "Farewell, Firestar. My StarClan light your path." Dipping her head the WindClan leader turned tail and headed back to camp. She had a burial to perform.

-Camp-

"Yours, too", replied the firey wolf and nodded. Hearing Wind's words, she ran over to him. Firestar noted the rabbit that Adder had killed. "Good work, Adder." She listened to Windstorm's and Adder's conversation and smiled. "Yes, you're part of ThunderClan now, Adder." She sniffed as Wind did and caught a familiar scent. Deer. The leader watched the deer with the others and made a quick plan. "How about two of us hide and the others chase it over to us? Firestar narrowed her eyes. "Oh, and somebody to stay by the border, maybe. We don't want the prey escaping us."

"Alright. Do you think I should stay?" she asked. She looked around. She was searching the best way to stalk it.

"Yes, I think you probably should." The firey fae thought for a moment. "Emberpaw, will you wait by the border and try to keep the deer away? Runningpaw will come with me to chase the prey to the others. Wind, can you stay with Adder here and wait for us to drive the prey to you two?" She gave her mate a wink and then looked back at the other wolves. "Let's go." Firestar padded swiftly towards the deer.

Adder smiled. She padded to a bush and waited. "I kinda feel bad for the deer. I've been unsucsessfully hunted before... she thought, then shook it off. Her eyes were fixed on the deer's path. She crouched low and waited for Firestar.

Wind chucked softly and flicked an ear, "Well, an ambush, good plan." nodding, he crept north, noting where Adder had hiden herself. She was slightly southwest from him. Together, the cover would be easy. as soon as the deer came their way, the triangle would be complete. He flicked his tail at Adder, "When the deer comes, take the left flank, I'll cover right. That way, we get it covered."

Wind gave Ember sympathetically. Lifting his head, he called softly to Ember, "Hey, want to join me? Ass long as you can run fast enough to cover the border when the deer tries to get by, it should be fine." He felt sorry for the young wolf. "Come beside me and lie low ok? We're doing an ambush." he grinned and winked at her.

Wind grinned, his eyes gleaming with life and the thrill of the hunt. "I think I know what you're thinking. You can join in if we get the dear, but stay behind me." " he chuckled softly, "I don't want you to hurt and I don't want Firestar to be mad at you." he winked. "We ok?"

The fiery wolf leaped at the deer. She managed to bite it on its left hind leg before it twisted free and ran for its life. Firestar rushed after it, driving it towards the others in the grass. "Quick, Wind, Emberpaw, Adder, it's wounded. Runningpaw, come on," Firestar was closing in on her prey and she needed the other wolves.

Adder grinned, she liked to hunt. She fiercely lunged at the elk, her jaws clamped on it's throat. She growled at the elk as it thrashed around. She was engulfed in complete darkness as she was thrown, the hit the tree.

Adder's head spinned as her eyes slowly opened. She got up, then she sk=hook her head. I con't give up! she thought. She got up and chased the elk, trying to keep it away from the borders and she jumped in front of it. As it tried to jump above her, she jumped up and clamped her jaws to it's neck. [b]"Firestar, Wind, Emberpaw!"[b] she called, although it wasn't very clear because of her biting the elk's neck, she still remained her tight grip to the elk's neck.

"Ok, now." Wind barked and flashed out in a blur of grey and brown. Wind dardted between the thundering hooved and got under the masive beast. Lowering his body, he exploded upwards, his sharp fangs drawing blood at first contact. The deer kicked, almost catching him, but he dodged again. He leaped, dodged, spun, until his every strike caused the deer to bellow in pain. He came out from the under of the deer and leaped up in a perfect arch to land, paws appart on its head. He bit down, hard; the deer gave a last cry and fell. Getting down, he padded to its head and gazed into its eyes. "Thank you for your life. Now we shall be strong for a few more days. We will always honor your sacrifice." he whispered. An silent acceptance flashed in the deer's eyes before the light flickered and died. Wind stood and smiled, "Ladies first."

Firestar smiled too, the deer was down. "Great work, everyone", Firestar smiled at her friends and mate. The firey leader padded up to Windstorm. "You've certainly taught Emberpaw some good moves. Good tatics, you two", she said to Windstorm and Emberpaw. Turning to Adderpaw, she asked, "Is your head okay, Adder? You hit that tree rather hard."

Adderpaw nodded. "I'm alright," she said, rather droopy. She was almost knocked unconsious(however you spell it). She sat down with a shake of her head.

[color=orange]Emberpaw tumbled to the ground as the deer collapsed. As she stopped rolling, she got her her paws, her sharp teeth and claws blood-stained. Her tail wagged as Firestar praised her and Windstorm for their great work. She watched as Adderpaw composed herself, still looking a bit dizzy. Maybe you should get that checked out...?" she asked the fellow apprentice, concern pooling in her vibrant orange eyes.

Adder shook her head no. "I'm fine, really." she said, smiling. She turned to the elk. "Should we take it to camp?"

Emberpaw nodded. "Okay" She bent down, gripping one of the deer's legs. It was quite large, and heavy at that too. She lifted her head, struggling to drag it away towards camp.
