Sparrowpaw training with Fangclaw.

Okay, bear with me while I try this my first time.

Fangclaw padded into the clearing within the StormClan territory, and looked around. A faint breeze heading west carried his scent, and the trees rattled around. This place was calming, but not for long. The warrior was here to train his new apprentice, and even pass on the knowledge from one warrior to another future warrior. All that was going through his mind was the thought of messing up, as there was a slight possibility, but Fangclaw pushed it to the back of his head, as his rear met with the cold snow, waiting patiently for his apprentice- Sparrowpaw, to arrive.

Sparrowpaw made her way after Fangclaw, her eyes filled with anticipation. She couldn't wait to start training, she couldn't wait to be a warrior. She looked at Fangclaw as she arrived. "Where should we start? Can we start with hunting?"

Fangclaw saw the gleam of anticipation in the young wolf's eyes, and chuckled at her questions. There was always that one question on what. Hunting seemed easy, and it would probably be nice to start off with small things, and work their way up. Somehow along in that scale, would be fishing too. Stormclan is also consisted of the old way of Riverclan, and fish was a part of the clan's diet now. "Sure thing. But lets start small." Raising his muzzle into the air, the wolf took a gulp of air, and tried to pinpoint where the closest mouse was, especially in the winter. Once he had found one that belonged to a small mouse, Fangclaw's blue-green eyes landed on his apprentice. "Find the scent, follow it, and stalk it with the sneakiest crouch you can. Once you get near, don't make any sound, and pounce when you think the time is right."

Sparrowpaw nodded, she lifted her nose and scented the air, no animals. She scented again and the faintest of mouse appeared. Her eyes narrowed as she stalked forward, her tail slightly dragging on the ground and her pawsteps hit the ground a bit with a thump. She leapt at the mouse when she got closer, but t heard her and ran away.

Silentwhisper walked swiftly into the area. Noticing Sparrowpaw hunting he stepped on the grounnd lighter. Grinning, he moved over to Fangclaw. "Hey," He called. "Creekpaw wanted to do some hunting practise with Sparrowpaw. Is that okay?" He asked. He layed down the fawn carcass and yawned. "That is super-heavy."

Creekpaw spotted Silentwhisper. His mentor was standing beside Fangclaw, speaking about something he couldn't pick up. The rabbit dangled limply from his jaws, and he set it down under the safety of the roots of a Pine. The large gray male's amber eyes glanced around, but he could see no sign of Sparrowpaw. He thought that the gray-and-brown fae must be out hunting, and he sat down beside his prey, eagerly awaiting for Sparrowpaw's arrival.

Fangclaw watched as his apprentice pounced, but got away. "Well, this is your first time. I don't expect you to catch something right away." Flicking his ears at some movement, the warrior turned around to see his friend, with Creekpaw. Of course. Giving the apprentice a smile, Fangclaw turned his head to Silentwhisper. "I don't see anything wrong with that." Glancing at Creekpaw, the warrior turned his head towards the direction Sparrowpaw was in. "She's over there."

Sparrowpaw nodded and eagerly ran over to Creekpaw. "Hi Creekpaw!" She said, an exciting tone in her voice. She couldn't wait to be able to catch a load of prey. She waited for her friend to suggest a place to hunt, she was still new to this.

"Hey Sparrowpaw!" Creekpaw yipped eagerly. His tail thumped against the ground eagerly. "I saw you miss that mouse. You want me to show you a good technique that's good for staying light on your paws?" he asked, standing up.

Sparrowpaw nodded eagerly, it seemed he was the mentor now. She watched him intently and answered his question with words. "Yes please!" She said, she was excited and hoped to learn the best from this. She wanted to be a great apprentice.

His eyes smiling, Creekpaw moved away from the roots of the tree. "Okay, now, watch this." The large gray male crouched down, moving forward swiftly with almost no sound. "Your gonna want to pick up one paw at a time, and at the same time you put it down you pick up another one so it muffles each other's sound," he explained, rising up to his full height again. "You try it!" he barked, gazing at the pretty fae affectionately.

The warrior stood aside, and watched the two play around, and even swapped roles with Creekpaw for a while. There was no harm in doing so, especially since it was only for a little while. Sitting down and watching, the warrior sighed. He could tell there was something more than a friendship going on, and Fangclaw smiled slightly at this. Somehow they reminded him of his friends, but said nothing as a flash of pain or regret along his turquoise eyes, but it quickly faded away. "Look's like the two of them are having fun," he whispered towards his friend, turning his head so that he was facing Silentwhisper.

Silentwhisper nodded. "Yeah," He watched the two apprentices play. "Somehow Creekpaw looks like the mentor." He chuckled. He continued to watch the two apprentices play and then gazed at the fawn. He licked his nose with hunger but ignored it.

Fangclaw nodded, and looked back at the two, and chuckled. "That's when you know you taught them well. I might need to ask you for some help later on." He told him, half serious and half joking. Fangclaw was worried that he might mess up, but so far he was doing good. But then again, the training had only just begun.

"It is hard work." He sighed. "So, you glad you got to mentor Sparrowpaw?" He whispered. He moved his eyes to Creekpaw. He was happy to take him. He was showing to be a great hunter. "Creekpaw! Maybe we should get going back now for some offensive fighting?" He suggested. He looked at the elk. He was now ready to take him on. "Don't want to delay Sparrowpaw and Fangclaw. They'd only just started untill we appeared." He chuckled. He nodded a goodbye to Fangclaw and dragged the elk by two hooves.


-Silentwhisper and Creekpaw training-

Sparrowpaw nodded and copied his motions. She scented the air for prey. A mouse. She used what Creekpaw had shown her and leapt at it. she bit it's neck swiftly. "Thanks Creekpaw! I caught my first mouse!" She said excitingly.

Creekpaw's tail thumped against the earth. "Great job!" he barked, approaching Sparrowpaw. He bent close to the mouse, the salty scent of blood swirling around in his nostrils. "Perfect catch!" He turned his head, giving the grey-and-brown fae a quick, affectionate lick of congratulation on her ear. He retreated, shuffling his paws awkwardly. He pricked his ears, hearing Silentwhisper's call. "I've got to go," he said, remorse twinging his voice. "I'll see you later." He padded back over to where Silentwhisper was standing a little earlier. "Bye Fangclaw! Thank's for letting us practice for a little while," he told the warrior. He padded after Silentwhisper, looking back reluctantly before heading back to his own training.

~Silentwhisper and Creekpaw Training~

Fangclaw had nodded at his friends question. He was glad to have such a peppy and easygoing apprentice, and enjoyed teaching what he was taught at Sparrowpaw's age. Nodding a farewell afterwards at both Silentwhisper and Creekpaw, the warrior turned his head towards his apprentice after the both of them had left. "I see Creekpaw had taught you better than I have," he joked, and looked at the mouse that his apprentice had caught. "That was very good, and I think you're a natural born hunter. Got it at your second try!" Fangclaw exclaimed happily.

Sparrowpaw said her goodbyes as her friend and Silentwhisper left, she then focused on her lessons. Sparrowpaw let out a soft laugh, "Not better, just more," she joked back. A naturla born hunter? Her? No, it couldn't be, or could it? She scented the air again. A fish, but that was all. "Can I learn to fish?" She asked excitingly.

Fish? The river was frozen last time he checked, but that was a while ago. "Sure, if the River hadn't froze over yet." Fangclaw turned himself so that he was facing where the River was. So breaking off into a jog, the warrior trotted over to the riverbank, and saw the river frozen, but then saw a little opening. "Looks like we're fishing today." He muttered, mostly to himself. Gazing into the water, the warrior waited for his apprentice to arrive to begin the lesson.

(Can we get 30 points in fishing, then offensive fighting then hunting medium animals?)

Sparrowpaw grinned as she watched the master at work. She had no idea what-so-ever how to fish and was looking forward to the lesson. She watched her mentor intently, completely focused on her lessons. She'd be a great warrior someday she hoped.
