Snowstorm padded into the clearing. He lifted his nose into the air and sniffed. He didn't smell anything unusual so he turned and sat down. The beautiful smells and sounds of the forest filled his nose and ears as he waited for his apprentice. The white wolf smiled. He had always loved the forest that he lived in. It was beautiful in sight, smell and sound.

Luna was on the ground. She thought that this time she had him. Her mentor said that she used another good advantage. She smiled but she felt kinda mad on herself for letting down her guard. She tried to think of something which she my use but it was useless when a sudden idea came in her head. She began tickling Snowstorm with her tail so she could break free.

A smile crept across Snowstorm's face as Lunapaw began tickling him with her tail. He let out a chuckle and stepped off of his apprentice, but not because she was tickling him. "You have a smart brain between your shoulders, Lunapaw," he said, looking at her with amusement in his eyes. "But I don't think that a wolf holding you down in a battle will allow tickling to bother them. But that was a good idea. You could not do anything else, but you still thought of something to try. You will be a very good benefit to StormClan." The large white wolf waited for his apprentice to get up. Now he was going to teach her how to defend herself.

Snowstorm stepped off the she-wolf. A soft smile appeared on her face. She watched her mentor still laying on the ground. His words made the apprentice happy. He said that she is smart but the tickling would not be that useful in a battle. Even though she could not do anything, Luna still managed to thought of something to try. Lunapaw got up and wagged tail feeling happy from his words. She was glad that he thought for her as a very good benefit to StormClan. "Thank you Snowstorm." she spoke with a soft and calm voice. The apprentice now began wondering what else will her mentor teach her.

"Now your going to learn how to defend yourself," Snowstorm told his apprentice. He let out a long yawn, revealing his long, sharp teeth. Along with a pink tongue, then smiled back at Lunapaw. "Get ready to defend." He backed further away and crouched, waiting for Lunapaw to get ready, and ready himself to attack when she did.

Snowstorm said that it's time to learn how to defend herself. He yawned and then smiled at the apprentice. He told her to get ready to defend herself. Her mentor took a position as well as Lunapaw did. She looked at her mentor and in every little thing he did. "I'm ready." she said as she felt energized.

Snowstorm stayed there for a bit before launching himself at Lunapaw. He stayed going at full speed until he got within inches away from his apprentice. He then took a sharp turn to the right, turning back around towards Lunapaw. The large white warrior quickly picked his speed back up, running towards his apprentice to attempt to butt her in the side with his head.

Luna watched every of her mentor's moves. He was fast she could not deny that but Luna was faster. The moment he attempt to butt her in the side with his head she lowered her body. This was a nice tactic to escape the hit. As soon as he manage her body she will lift up again and throw him aside. She was interest how will Snowstorm attempt to avoid this since he was already so close.

Snowstorm did not try to slow down when Lunapaw lowered her body, he just kept going full speed. But when he reached his apprentice, he did not attempt to butt her in the side, because she had a plan to stop him. So he jumped over her, lightly landing on her other side and skidding to a halt. But the white wolf did not give up the effort. While Lunapaw was still recovering from avoiding his attack, he ran towards her at full speed once again. This time, he would be extremely impressed if his apprentice avoided his attack.

Snowstorm jumped over her and landed on her other side. She did not expect that. He then ran towards the apprentice with full speed. The she-wolf had to avoid this and she had plan, again. She rolled around, laying on her back. She lifted her legs a little and showed her sharp claws. If Snowstorm get a little bit closer she will be able to stuck her claws into his body. This plan for sure is going to stop her mentor from attacking her, or at least she hoped it will.

Snowstorm noticed what Lunapaw was doing, and he had to avoid it. He slowed down as much as he could, dug his claws into the ground and leaped away from his apprentice, barely avoiding her outstretched claws. "Good, good." He said, stopping and turning towards her to wait for her to get up. "That was very good thinking Lunapaw."

Luna smiled widely. Her mentor barely avoided her outstretched claws. He managed to leap away from the apprentice. Good, good.. were his words. Lunapaw got up and shaked the snow off her fur. She nodded and smiled happily on her mentor's praise. "I guess that's my strength.." she said calmly still feeling confident.

Snowstorm went up to Lunapaw as she got up. "Well, that's the best strength that you can have. Brute force doesn't matter at all if you don't even know how to use it." He chuckled. "You will make a great warrior," he said in a quiet, friendly tone.

(Since you've been made a warrior now, do you want to just end our training now, or wait a little longer?)

She nodded at her mentor's words. He was right. Maybe that was the best abilitie that Luna owned. At least her plans and quick thinking will take her out of dangerous and complicated situations. Luna glanced at her mentor in a wonder. What are they going to do now? She is willing to learn so many other things which are going to help her in the future.

Snowstorm turned away. "Now let's have you practice fishing some more." He said, beginning to walk away. But when he was sure that Lunapaw had let her guard down, he turned back to her and pounced, pinning her down. "You should never let your guard down," he said to his apprentice, stepping off of her.

Luna nodded when her mentor told her to practice the fishing again. Slowly and calmly she took a step forward when suddenly Snowstorm pinned her to the ground. The young she-wolf did not expect that. The apprentice frowned a little but she knew that her mentor words were right. She mustn't let her guard down. When she stepped off of her Luna got up and shaked the snow off her fur. "I will remember this lesson for sure" she said as she smiled.

Snowstorm nodded. "Good," he said, turning away again. He lifted his muzzle and sniffed the air. He smelled a squirrel, but they weren't currently hunting for land animals. He began padding away again. But again, after a bit, he quickly turned and pounced to see if Lunapaw was ready this time.

While Luna's mentor was sniffing the air the apprentice was watching carefully. She knew that this won't be the last test. She pretended like she is not watching but actually she was keeping an eye on Snowstorm and every of his movements. The moment he pounced at the young she-wolf, she jumped few metres back, avoiding the collision.

Snowstorm landed on nothing but the ground. He turned to Lunapaw and nodded. "Good job Lunapaw," he said. "Now we're going to practice fishing for real." The white warrior began padding away, but stopped after a bit, turning to his apprentice and repeating with a smile, "For real." He then turned and padded the rest of the way to the river.

The apprentice smiled when her mentor praised her. Then he said that they will practice fishing again but this time for real. The she-wolf nodded a bit unsure. She took a few steps forward but when Snowstorm stopped and repeated that this time it is for real Luna smiled and trotted after him. Soon the wolf was front of the river's shore.
