Tinypaw padded into the sandy terrain. He looked around for his mentor. "She's not here yet."ge said in delight. He was delighted to beat his mentor here.

Streakfire slowly padded downwind into a bush. She would want to test him. What would he already know? She rustled a bush, waiting to see how Tinypaw would react.

Tinypaw spun around. "Hi!"he yipped. "What are we going to do today?"he asked his mentor. The apprentice switched to a pounce stance and yipped twice. "Hunting? fighting?"he asked enthusiastically.

Streakfire giggled. "Do you want to learn some fighting?" she asked, smiling a little. She enjoyed this pup's enthusiasm. She got down low. "Jump on my back; be careful though! I might squash you when I roll!"
