Snowflower nodded. She nudged Dusk and looked to Jadepaw. 'Dusk will decide."she said with a small grin. The white furred fae took a step back and smiled.

Duskfang smiled. "Alright then." Padding forward to come to stand a few tail lengths away from Jadepaw he readied himself. "The first move I would like to teach you is the 'belly-rake'. As its name suggests, it involves raking your claws down your opponents belly. This can be used as a defensive move - if your opponent has pinned you down -, or as an attack - by running at and rolling under your opponent whilst raking your opponent's stomach as you go. Would you like to see a demonstration? Or try and work it out on your own to suit your style of fighting?" He gave her the option because he knew that if he were in her position, he would prefer to work it out himself, however he knew that some would prefer to see the move in action before they attempt it. He waited to hear her response.

"Could I try it out myself first?" Jadepaw asked once Dusk had finished. She'd prefer to try it out herself first as to figure out her own style and what suited her best. Jade lifted a paw and shook it to rid of the grass clumps in-between her claws and waited for an answer from Dusk. She'd seen apprentices practising this move before so had a small idea of what to do although, it wasn't the clearest and she knew she wouldn't get it right first time round.

Dusk fang nodded in understanding. "Alright then. Whenever gou are ready, I'd like you to run at me and perform the belly rake. I will stay stationary for now, and maybe later once you have learnt some other moves we can practise it in a battle situation." Once he had finished speaking the large male crouched lower to the ground in order to allow Jadepaw to reach his stomach when she performed the move; he was much too big for her to be able to reach his stomach when he was standing up straight, but that would change as she grew older.

Jadepaw nodded and shot backwards as she let out an exploding sneeze she had not been expecting. "Hehehe whoops." She giggled as shook her head smiling. Gathering her thoughts back together, she narrowed her eyes as she focused on Duskfang. Waggling her haunches, she sprang forwards racing across the clearing towards him. Then, just as she was about to collide with him she remembered that she was supposed to slide under him and twisted onto her back, raked her paws -with claws sheathed as not to hurt him- along his belly and popped out the other side. Although, she'd lost her momentum whilst doing the slide and had to scramble and haul herself up onto her paws in a very sluggish manner when she was our from underneath her mentor. "How was that?" She squeaked, her eyes bright and tail wagging.

Duskfang watched calmly as Jadepaw raced towards him, about to attempt the belly rake technique. He stayed completely still as she performed the move, however his eyes followed her as she twisted into a slide, raked his stomach and scrambling to her paws. It was a good first attempt but there was room for improvement. Standing up to his full height once more he turned to face Jadepaw, ready to give his feedback. "Very good first attempt! Although I noticed you struggling to get back to your paws at the end of the move. In order to redeem your balance and momentum you need to propel yourself a little bit faster at the beginning when you are running towards me. Also, at the end, instead of trying to leap to your paws, perhaps try to use more of a rolling action like this." Duskfang dropped to his side and rolled across the floor. He looked a bit silly, but he needed to show Jadepaw what it looked like.

Jadepaw giggled "ok". Waiting for her mentor to stand back up, she backed up to give her room for a run up and blocked out everything around her expect for Duskfang. She was determined to get it right this time. Flattening her ears, she put all her weight onto her back legs and launched herself forwards incredibly fast, her long legs carrying her swiftly over the grass. Again, just before she was about to collide with him, she dropped down onto her back, scrapped her paws along his belly and nearly forgot to roll instead of scramble to her paws. Twisting around on her back, she slid onto her paws and knelt close to the ground in a defence position, ears back and snarling viciously.

Duskfang crouched again as Jadepaw began running at him for her second attempt. Smiling as he watched her slide, rake and roll, he spun around to face his apprentice. An amused expression covered his features at the sight of Jadepaw snarling he let out a short snort of laughter. "Much better!" Moving forward he placed a large paw on her head. His paw was almost as big as it. Applying slight pressure he pretended to pat her head. "Really excellent."

Jadepaw smiled and twisted her head around to nip his paw. "I'm not a pup! I'm half your size now!" She giggled. Duskfang was a MASSIVE wolf but the point was she was still growing.

Snowflower was one semi quarter less compared to Duskfang. She smiled and padded towards another rabbits burrow. Clawing at the prey inside, she caught all but took only three out. She dug the rest out and left it beside the burrow. She would come back for it later. "Anyone hungry?"she said and plopped down the three rabbits.

Jadepaw whipped around to see what Snow had caught and shook her head. "No thanks..." she muttered then decided otherwise. She hadn't realized how hungry she was! Jadepaw!, she scolded herself silently, why did you refuse! Oh well. The female looked down at her paws and shuffled awkwardly.

Duskfang grinned at Jadepaw and looked attentively up as the scent of rabbit drifted temptingly towards him. Nuzzling his mate appreciatively he grasped one of the rabbits in his jaws and lay down. Noticing Jadepaw refuse the offer he perked his ears up, surprised, and raised an eyebrow, turning to stare at her. "What do you mean no?" He chuckled, grasping a second rabbit and flinging it towards her. "Come on now, eat up! I don't want my apprentice getting hungry now do I?" He smiled.

Jadepaw shot Duskfang a grateful glance and shrugged. "If you say so." she barked and sniffed the rabbit Dusk had thrown to her. Dragging the animal closer to her so she could eat, Jade ripped off a hind leg and crunched on it hungrily.
